||| TSUKINO MIU |||
Akamatsu Kaede ; Danganronpa
#Name ; Tsukino Miu
#Age ; 15
#Gender ; Female
#Sexuality ; Lesbian
#D.O.B. ; March 10th, 1986
#Occupation ; High School Student
#Year and class ; 1-A
#Height ; 5'8"
#Physique ; Slim
#Hair color and style ; Long, blonde
#Eye color ; Purple
#Clothing styles ; Miu prefers a vintage aesthetic when it comes to her clothes, and she prefers a more masculine style overall. She dresses like she just came out of a black-and-white period drama — loose-fitting white blouses tucked into black pants, button-up shirts with plaid sweaters and ties, a slightly loose button-up shirt with suspenders, etc.
However, she does show some femininity in her style. She wears ribbons in her hair a lot, and tends to lean towards more softer pastels in regards to the color of her clothes. She'll occasionally wear dresses, although often doesn't due to insecurity about how she looks in them because of her height.
#A more thorough description ; Miu is much taller than the average Japanese girl — coming up to about five-foot-eight, she towers over the majority of her female (and some of her male) peers. She doesn't mind being tall, and acknowledges that it can actually be useful in some situations. She still gets insecure when it comes to things that show off her body more and draw attention to her height, hence why she usually doesn't wear dresses.
She's quite well-endowed and curvy. Her most defining feature is her chest, which is actually accentuated by the boyish clothing she usually wears. This, compared with her height, gives her a model-like build. She has long, light blonde hair with an 'ahoge' sticking out of the top of her head. Her eyes are purple and framed by thick, dark lashes. She has a natural pink blush on her cheeks.
#Personality ;Miu is very snarky and her response to nearly everything is deadpan sarcasm (especially when someone points out something painfully obvious as if it's some amazing observation. Personally, she thinks sarcasm is the only reasonable way to respond to things like that). Her eyes always seem to be glimmering with mischief, and her lips are usually twisted into a friendly smirk that seem to say 'I'm smarter than you, and that makes me better than you, but I'm the kindest person you will ever meet'.
She has very little tolerance for those she personally sees as bad people, and will treat them like absolutely garbage with no remorse for their feelings. She's rarely ever outright rude, but she does act extremely passive aggressive. She also has a habit of saying extremely mean-spirited things, but hiding it behind faux kindness and with a sickly sweet smile on her face. She's not really a bad person deep down, but she can be a lot more cruel than she would like to admit. It's sometimes genuinely concerning how hateful she can be sometimes.
People expect her to just be a mean person in general, due to how she treats these people, but she's actually extremely kind and patient with everyone else. It's almost unnerving how she can act cold and passive aggressive towards one person, and then immediately look at someone else as if they're existence is the best thing in the world. She claims it's because "being mean is only fun if they've got it coming". Yes, she totally understands the appeal of pettiness, snark, and the pleasure of revenge, but only if someone deserves it.
She's generally very good at keeping her cool, but when she does get angry... nobody would want to be on the receiving end. Her temper runs as hot as a wildfire, and woe befall anyone who has managed to earn her spite because she will stop at nothing to make them suffer. It's easy to tell when someone genuinely pisses her off. She doesn't yell or scream. She just gets extremely cold. She'll look at them with an innocent smile and a cruel gleam in her eyes that seems to say "I will destroy you and everything you love."
Miu has a tendency to be very crude in the way she speaks, often making dirty jokes or slipping in curse words at the most random moments to accentuate her emotions. If someone politely tells her this makes them uncomfortable though, she'll immediately stop and speak in a more polite manner. If somebody is rude about it and acts like she's a terrible human being for speaking that way, she'll do it even more just to annoy them. She hates it when people are condescending or act like their on some kind of high horse.
She doesn't really care about what people think of her. It's not her job to please people. If someone thinks she's rude or obnoxious, then that's awesome. People are entitled to their opinion. This doesn't mean she ignores all criticism of her. If someone has genuine advice on how she can better herself and grow as a person, she's always willing to listen. It's not like she doesn't want to become a better person. She just doesn't think it's her responsibility to bend over backwards just so everyone will like here.
#History ;Miu didn't have an easy life.
Her parents weren't in love. It was a wonder why they even bothered getting married, because all they ever seemed to be doing was screaming at each other. If they weren't fighting, they were ignoring each other's existence. It was rare for the house to ever be truly calm. A thick tension always hung in the air, and it was only a matter of time before the next fight began.
It wasn't really a shocked when they got divorced. It was shocking, however, that it took them until she was in middle school to do it. Miu's mother got custody. She wasn't interested in getting into another relationship, so she was left to raise her as a single mother. It would be difficult, but at least her father was paying child support.
Although she expected it to happen, it still made her feel bitter and angry. She couldn't make sense of her feelings, which in turn made her extremely frustrated. The frustration caused her to feel even more angry. At the same time though, she was relieved to get away from all the screaming and fighting. She also knew it was better like this.
She didn't know how to handle these conflicting feelings, so she acted out. She'd often get in trouble at school for being rude to teachers and "bullying" other students. It wasn't really bullying, since they were usually the ones who started it, but she was always the one who got in trouble.
It was exhausting for her mother. She was already having a difficult time at work, and now she had to deal with a moody pre-teen daughter who seemed to think the world was out to get her. It was nearly impossible to deal with. She opted for just letting Miu figure it out on her own.
This proved to be a bad idea, because she finally messed up enough to get her expelled from school. It was nearing the end of her last year of middle school. A classmate was messing with her, and she attacked them with a pencil. It was an impulsive reaction and even she seemed surprised at what she had done.
The classmate in question was unharmed for the most part, but it was still a miracle their family didn't decide to press charges. Honestly, just getting expelled was probably the best possible outcome for that situation. She also only got grounded for five months. That's pretty awesome.
Another positive of this situation is that she finally realized she needed to get her act together. If she continued to act like this, there would be no way she could survive the real world without getting killed or thrown in jail. She wants to be a better person, and she'll work hard to reach that goal.
She's now a first year at Hikarizaka Private High School. She has absolutely no idea why they would let in a student who was expelled from her last school for attacking someone with a sharpened pencil, but she isn't complaining. She thinks this place is a lot more interesting. The Roleplayer's Corner

Miu sprinted down the street, stumbling over her feet and nearly falling face-first to the ground in her hurry. She was late! So, so late. She barely even had anytime to get ready that morning — her hair was still a tangled mess, her uniform was wrinkled, and she had noticeable dark circles underneath her eyes.
It wasn't really her fault. She set her alarm, but it must've come unplugged while she was sleeping... yeah, it was probably because she twisted and turned so much in her sleep, but she couldn't help it! She didn't really have time to worry about that though, because she had five minutes to get to class and she was still a ten minute walk away from the school!
She continued to run. Unfortunately, she failed to notice her shoes coming untied and fell onto the concrete. She lifted her head up, wincing in pain. It didn't take long for her to realize the blood gushing out of her nose and staining her school uniform.
"Stupid sneakers..." she mumbled to nobody in particular. This was the only time in her life she actually wished she was wearing her school shoes.
