Hello one and all. Over the past week, we have made a number of changes to the site that I would like to document here.
Boards
- First, there is a new section above Rules & Information, titled "What's New". Under this section, staff may manually add up to (3) links to interesting things going on around the site. Additionally, the most recent post is automatically listed here. Previously, the most recent post could be seen by scrolling to the bottom of the site, but we felt that having to scroll every time to see this was somewhat tedious. Putting it at the top of the forum should make it easier to tell when there is new activity.
- We have added a new board known as Dango Chronology. This board serves to show off character arcs, and relies on user submission. You can read the Q&A on that board for more information.
- The Solo Threads board has been moved out of Roleplay Development and in with the rest of the Roleplay boards. You can find it just above Roleplay Archives.
- The Dango Family board in Roleplay Development has been removed, as its existence conflicts with the new Dango Chronology board. Any threads in it have been moved to Roleplay Archives.
PhotoBucket Photobucket has recently made a big change to its business model. Images hosted on it will no longer be displayed on third party sites. This, of course, includes our forum. Many images in our theme were broken, as well as many character avatars. I've been replacing them as I see them, but it is possible I've missed some. If you see any broken images, please let us know!
Miscellaneous In addition to things listed above, many minor fixes and changes have been made throughout the site.
- The current time for timestamps has been adjusted. We now allow threads from April to June.
- The titles and dango badges under a user's name and avatar have been reworked. Users are now rewarded a new title and different colour badge every 25 posts, up to 500 posts.
- We have an official Discord server. It is open to the public, though some privilages are restricted only to users with characters on the site. To join, click the link above the cbox.
- I've set up a system for giving deleted accounts their own avatars. This is purely an aesthetic change, allowing old threads with deleted characters to look more pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work on accounts labelled as guests.
That's all for now! Happy roleplaying!
