She also likes to try different hairstyles aside from letting her hair down, like ponytail or twin pigtails.

#Clothing styles ; Wears her school uniform neatly with black thigh-highs or pantyhose nearly all of every school day. Also enjoys wearing feminine clothing like dresses or miniskirts. She has lots of clothes to the point that when not in uniform, she is like a kaleidoscope, hardly ever seen twice with the same outfit. Haruka loves Lolita outfits, particularly ones with light colors. Her favorite brand is Alice and the Pirates. Although she likes Lolita, she also likes stuff from GouK.
#Personality ;
Haruka comes off as a calm, collected girl who does not show much emotion when communicating with others. Despite that appearance, she is very willing to make friends and actually amiable once somebody gets to know her. However, her classy, elegant, aloof appearance makes her peers reluctant to approach her, seeing her as someone to be admired from afar, but not to get chummy with. Haruka tends to lament that image of hers from time to time, as she has trouble getting truly close friends to share secrets and having fun talks with. Hence, her closest female friend is her cousin Iryna, as the two often visit each other's home and hang out together.
Should Haruka get a chance to be chummy, she would be chummy with someone who likes her for her, because her elegant shell really isn’t exactly herself at all. Haruka has a lot of emotions and ideas and opinions inside her. She has written them down and organized them into neatly typed up documents that have been filed properly. You see, Haruka has a fervent love for organization, enjoys brainstorming, and is the quite the nitpicker. One of her main issues though is actually following through with whatever ideas she has. She also schedules every little thing she does. Haruka even has a schedule for making schedules!
She is very proud of what she does and enjoys the responsibilities she had. However, Haruka doesn’t know when enough is enough. Not even she can tell when she’s stressed out because she has a lot of ambitions she plans on meeting up to. When she cannot help herself achieve goals, she becomes hurt and disheartened and requires the help of friends to keep her going. Mainly, this is Iryna, but Haruka cannot deny she needs more support than just her cousin. Attending Hikarizaka, she plans on making plenty of friends in her own class; she just needs to stop being overly distrustful of her classmates and let them settle matters on their own.
Haruka has a strong sense of responsibility, both as the eldest child and as a student. She feels that as the first child, she has to bear the most burden of supporting her family once she grows up, hence resolves herself to help her parents and take care of her little sister at the best of her ability. Hence, Haruka studies diligently in order to achieve her goal of entering the prestigious Tokyo University after graduating from high school. She also tries her best to keep her class in order as the duty of a class rep, while establishing herself as a role model. Haruka is also very protective of her sister and always accompanies the young girl when their parents are away. Haruka tends to boss around her younger sister like a drill sergeant and forces her own ideas of morality and propriety onto Tomoka so that her beloved sister can be the best she can be.
Underneath the cold, aloof exterior, Haruka has a soft spot for animals and children. She has a huge collection of stuffed animals (which come in all variety) in her room, and enjoys sharing them with both her sister Tomoka and her cousin Iryna. She especially likes dogs, and one of her favorite pastimes is taking pictures of them while walking in the local park. She has a pet chocolate Labrador named Kaoruko. On the other hand, she enjoys playing with young children, and always encourage her sister to invite the latter's friends over. The kids especially enjoy her storytelling.
Haruka loves travelling. One of her childhood dreams is to explore every region of her home country, and visiting numerous cities around the world. Going somewhere new always excites her. While she enjoys travelling alongside her family on holidays, she also likes to go on her own, buying her own tickets, exploring new places by herself. Haruka enjoys going to beaches, as she loves swimming, the sound of the waves, and the beautiful scenery, which she finds soothing.
On the other hand, Haruka enjoys reading books, especially history books. She is curious about the origins of mankind, the unsolved mysteries of the past, and how major events had happened around the world. Haruka is very philosophical and introspective. She has a fondness for coming up wither own answers and she likes to debate how accurate she is despite the fact that she knows that no opinion is exactly correct.
While Haruka can be cool and collected and very responsible, these responsibilities have been dumped over her have led her to believe that her purpose is to sacrifice her well being for everyone else, and thus she has a very strong martyr complex and she never forgets. Haruka remembers favors she does and favors done for her. She will attempt to even it out at all costs. When she gets upset, it’s mainly because of physical reasons (i.e. she gets hurt). Strangely, because it happens somewhat often, she has developed a guilty pleasure for tasting her own blood and tears. Everyone has a strange habit like this; she only needs to grow out of this sort of phase (which began because sometimes her glasses don't work and she trips and falls).
Haruka was appointed as class rep due to scoring the highest among her classmates in the entrance exam. While she tries her best to be a role model, she secretly wants to have friends that she can chummier with, just like with her cousin. However, her aloof appearance and serious attitude in studying and her job as class rep tend to hinder her classmates from getting closer to her. Also, she tends to nag them at times so she doesn't really get along with them too well. She tends to be superfluously worried about what everything and anything her classmates do, but currently, Haruka is working to improve on that. However, she usually doesn't have this issue to a large extent, and the only people she tends to chide overly are typically her subordinates in the student body government.
Haruka, despite being very rich, does not buy her own food at the cafeteria. Around there, the students are far too noisy and she prefers to eat rather than to chat when it’s meal time. Haruka also comes off as standoffish because she likes to pretend she thinks she’s better than other people when she really doesn’t. Haruka simply makes a fuss over every little detail just so she can appear to be the perfect little girl she thinks her family wants to be. Quite frankly, this stresses her to the point where she believes she will turn prematurely gray.
During her time at Hikarizaka, Haruka enjoys Home Economics and English the most. She also presides over tea ceremonies and is currently learning traditional dance that maikos perform, since she likes to study her native country’s culture as well. She buys a lot of text books to peruse and learn more and more from.
Haruka understands the strong importance of family because she loves her own very much and tries to go on as many outings as she can with them. However, as school progresses, it’s up to her to learn that she can find a family in more than just her flesh and blood.
#History ;
Haruka is the first child of Fuukami Shinjirou, an attorney, and Fuukami Maya (nee Suzuki), a university lecturer in Finance. Shinjirou is the younger brother of Fuukami Yusaku, president of Fuukami Group, hence making Haruka a cousin of Yusaku's half-Russian daughter Iryna. She also has a sister named Tomoka, who is four years younger than her. The Fuukami family owns a chocolate lab named Kaoruko who’s very energetic and playful and popular with children (just like Haruka!).
Born into wealth originated by both her grandfather's fortune and her father's successful career, Haruka was quite pampered when she was young. However, the arrival of another child, Tomoka, has made her more aware of the responsibilities she must take. Haruka tries her best to ensure the well-being of young Tomoka, to fulfil the duty of an elder sister. On a trip to an amusement park when Haruka was eight, Tomoka was lost among the crowd, which scared Haruka to death. Thankfully, Tomoka was retrieved by a security guard and reunited with her family shortly after a PA announcement. From that point onwards, Haruka becomes much more protective of Tomoka, which causes bickering between the two sisters from time to time.
After seeing historical documentaries on TV, and coming across a number of history books in a local library, Haruka has become extremely interested in the subject. She is particularly interested in the history from the ancient times, since there are still many unknown, undiscovered facts about them, and this has stoked her curiosity even more than before. By the time she was in middle school, Haruka decided she would become an archeologist, so she can travel around the world, and discover any hidden facts from the past.
Her intensified interest in the subject also stems from a very important event in her life. Documentaries and books helped build a solid foundation for her thirst of knowledge; however, an especially interactive and good-quality museum made her see that history was three-dimensional, alive, and in the making. Thus, her objective was to imprint her mark on history itself. In order to do that, Haruka had to study. She had to thoroughly discover upon the methods of important people who made it there; she had to become an intellectual winner who glorified her country and/or the world and make it a better place.
To further expand on the most important event in her life, it should be known that Haruka visited a history museum when she was ten on a school field trip that had a special exhibit for King Tut's tomb and a pottery exhibit for Ancient Greek and Chinese vases. Haruka was an independent student and explored the museum while taking meticulous notes and found that these subjects were more interesting than the biography of even her own motherland. Past those exhibits was an annual gallery of fossils of dinosaurs, which Haruka found a bit strange and creepy but nonetheless liked them for their mysteriousness and should she take up a job in the fields of archaeology, studying those would be an extra special treat!
When her father received the news that her uncle Yusaku had returned from Russia to settle in Hikarizaka, Haruka was delighted to see her cousin for the very first time, due to her curiosity about her cousin's half-Russian blood, and about the country of Russia in general. Haruka greatly enjoyed Iryna's stories about Russia, and instantly got along with her. Since then, Haruka often talks to Iryna by phone, even when the latter does not enjoy the conversations all the time. When finishing middle school, Haruka decided to take the entrance exam to Hikarizaka High, not just because it is the most prestigious school in the region, but also the fact that she can go to the same school with her cousin.The Roleplayer's Corner

I sat down eating lunch from my homemade bento box. It included a very simple meal, seeing that I really did not have too much time to actually prepare something rich and fancy. Though, I did make sure I got all the nutrients I needed in a filling yet tasty lunch. I had prepared steamed rice with a pickled plum on top, some sweet potato, cooked shrimp, and plenty of seaweed salad and edamame.
Nothing hit the spot more than something easy to make and delicious. I munched on my lunch quietly, taking in each small bite with my chopsticks, my hands gently grasping the pair of wooden sticks like a master and using them to provide me the nourishment I needed in the best possible way. I watched the other students from afar. Each classmate busied themselves with their conversations or food and they had a good laugh, though I did have to admit; they were very messy and sometimes I just wanted to come over, take a hanky, and clean up their food-stained uniforms. But that would be very weird, wouldn't it?
Normally, I don't really drone on a lot about my lunch this way, but I suppose I'm quite relieved by the food because it is a very refreshing break from stressful classes where I try my best to complete the work (that I force myself to do with whatever little motivation I do have).
The only subjects I truly do like are History and Classical Japanese. English is quite a bother since no matter how good the teacher, Hikarizaka just doesn't manage to produce the proper environment needed to teach a successful language class. There was no cultural immersion, close to no vocal practice, and very, very minimal grammar study. We mainly focused on vocabulary and that wasn't exactly too fun. Math and Science are just cumbersome. I was not fit for the natural sciences nor calculus, algebra and geometry. My mind was not configured like a jigsaw puzzle; it was a beautiful tapestry made of colorful threads that were stories and people woven to make an endless fabric of time.
Sometimes, I just wish people knew what I cared about; that my stern and graceful appearance revealed just one burst of passion about the world and what had came before us.
