#A more thorough description (optional) ;Sakura is short, cute, and sensitive about her appearance - although, the part she's really sensitive about is her breast size (practically nonexistent) and natural hair color. Though she looks frail and weak, she is actually physically strong to the point of being overly so - she trains her body on a regular basis at home and in the gym. Due to this, she is far stronger than she appears, meaning a lighthearted punch to the shoulder may leave your arm feeling numb for quite some time.
#Personality ;
Tsundere-in-training
Never will you meet someone as night-and-day as Sakura. While excessively sweet and polite one moment, she may suddenly become rather belligerent and rude the next. She draws very clear lines between what she likes and what she doesn't, and it's extremely apparent when she dislikes something because she only ever acts belligerent and rude to people she doesn't like. Because she's so polite and sweet to everyone else, she has extreme difficulty declining requests.
Adventurous
Sakura frequently has little adventures, often getting lost or a scrape or bruise in the process. She likes to explore and stick her nose in places it doesn't belong. More than once has she been chastised for such behavior, but that doesn't really stop her.
Shy and eccentric
Sakura dislikes interacting with others, and is rather shy when others interact with her. In addition, she has rather strange hobbies. She loves to play pranks and scare people, though, and she has a surprisingly little amount of shame. Some of her pranks go too far, however. She also has a large number of interesting - or annoying - habits, depending on how you view things.
Private
While she is a somewhat outgoing person with those she knows, she still keeps everything that's going on to herself and shares very little. She likes her privacy, and she likes being alone on occasion. Sometimes, though, she simply feels like she's receiving far too much attention and will lash out in an attempt to get away from the attention she is receiving. How she lashes out depends on the situation; sometimes she may yell, sometimes she may politely excuse herself and push her way through a crowd, and other times she may resort to violence.
Personal space? What's that?
She doesn't get much parental love at home, since her parents are usually at work or ignoring her. Due to this, she is rather clingy and touchy-feely with her friends - the only people she doesn't dislike talking to or is shy around. How do you know she thinks you're her friend? She clings to you with a death grip.
Aspiring artist
The only time Sakura is ever truly at peace with herself and the world around her is when she is painting. While she doesn't skip classes, when she is bored, she can often be seen painting on an imaginary canvas. She looks rather foolish with her hand mimicking the movements of one holding a paintbrush, but she looks so serious and so determined that few - save for the teacher - interrupt her.
#History ;
Sakura was born to parents who made a slightly below-average amount of money. These people, however, did not want their child. In short, Sakura was conceived by mistake - something her parents never fail to let her know. To avoid the hassles of child-rearing, they picked up extra work hours and paid for nannies and tutors to watch over and educate Sakura until she was old enough to send to send to an all-girls boarding school in Kyoto.
Life at the boarding school wasn't much to talk about - she ate, went to classes, slept, exercised, and painted. She didn't socialize much, and she had few friends. She was alright with this, as she didn't like being paid too much attention to. Such things made her uncomfortable. While she was lonely, she didn't really want to talk to her peers. On the few occasions she did, she made a friend or two, but the most exciting thing they did at the boarding school was explore the small forest nearby.
Sakura stayed in this school for most of her life, and she never really stood out in anything besides her art - that is, if you didn't count her penchant for exercise. From the start, she was a good artist. Over the years, she became a great artist. In fact, she could sell a lot of her paintings for varying sums of money - something she does occasionally, when she wants money to buy something she wants.
A few times over the years, she visited her parents; not because she wanted to, but because she had to - it was a school rule that you had to visit your parents once in a while. Were anyone to come with her, they would clearly see that the relationship she and her parents had was rather toxic - Sakura always hated her parents for dumping her in some far-away place to avoid raising her, and her parents hated her because she represented the biggest mistake of their lives - and once more, they didn't shy away from the subject. Rather, they took great joy in informing Sakura about exactly how unwelcome she was in their home.
At the age of sixteen, the school Sakura had been attending was forced to shut down at the end of their school year due to lack of funding. She was sent home, much to her and her parents' chagrin. Over the next year, Sakura's relationship with her parents worsened greatly, and eventually, she moved into the dorms at her new school a few days after her seventeenth birthday, well before the next school year was to start, where she stayed. She found a job working as a waitress in a caf, continued to paint, and transferred into Hikarizaki High two months after classes began, due to some issues she had with getting records from her old school.The Roleplayer's Corner

#Seen the anime/played the visual novel? ; Both. I've watched Clannad all the way through seven times, After Story four times, and the movie twice. I don't mean to sound like a sissy, but seeing the sad scenes brings a tear to my eye every time. Nagisa's death always brings me to the point of manly tears.

The wind was somewhat warm on Sakura's exposed limbs. She had "borrowed" a desk from a classroom, and she had placed it outside, next to something else she had "borrowed" - an easel with a blank canvas on it. Today, she was painting a landscape, so it made more sense to paint outside, where she could see, hear, and smell the nature around her, even if she was behind a school. She had a large number of small paint cans with just about every imaginable color contained in them.
The next few minutes were spent arranging and opening the paint cans and preparing her numerous brushes. The landscape Sakura was planning to draw was one she had never seen before - the image was in her head. It was a field of white flowers that went to the horizon under a deep azure sky, with the whole thing set in a valley, where the mountains rose like sleeping giants on the sides. The painting would be created as if this was all being viewed from eye level.
Slowly, carefully, daintily, and methodically, Sakura dipped a paintbrush into a can of paint and gently applied it to the canvas. And thus, a work of art was in the process of being born. With astounding attention to detail, Sakura Fubuki created her imaginary scenery, one flower petal at a time, with the same level of loving, explicit detail paid to every single stroke. The petals of each flower were a lovely eggshell white, while the small, nearly invisible shadows under the petals were a beautiful amaranth, with only the slightest kiss of golden yellow touching the tips of the swaying flowers as their glossy petals reflected the light of the sun.
The day slowly passed. The project that was started in the morning was finally finished in the late evening, with the only breaks being made were ones for the basic needs of the body - bathroom breaks, food water, and some light exercise to keep the blood flowing easily. As Sakura put down her brush and capped her cans of paint, she gazed melancholically at her finished creation, which was a veritable masterpiece. She felt somewhat sad upon finishing it, as it was one more project she had completed. However, she immediately brightened as the gears in Sakura's head began turning once more.
There it was - her next masterpiece. Sakura could see it. Yes, she could always just paint something else. Yes, perhaps she would do it tomorrow, after the classes the coming Monday ended. Smiling to herself, Sakura took her time in returning the borrowed desk and art supplies. By the time everything had been returned, the sun was about to set, and the area was bathed in the light of the setting sun at twilight. Sakura picked up her painting and took it with her as she left the school, a slight spring in her step as she gently cradled the piece in her arms. She didn't put the canvas down until she had reached her home.
