Description:
Hikaru is 17 years old, and a new student. He recently moved to Hikarizaka and is currently living in a dormitory. He has short, light brown hair and blue eyes. He's about 170cm tall and weighs 58kg.
Hikaru usually wears a plain shirt and jeans with white sneakers, and sometimes likes to wear jackets. He occasionally wears a hat. Hikaru wears his uniform during school hours (of course). He also carries random stuff every day wherever he goes for no apparent reason.
Personality:
Hikaru is a timid, yet determined person in front of others, but when with people he knows or by himself he's fine. He's always trying to be braver, since he was once called a chicken. However, he has always been weak at making a conversation, which is why he has little friends a lot of the time. However, the friends he does make are treated very well by him. Since he's new to the area, he knows no one at school and people don't really talk to him.
Hikaru's a kind person to anyone and actually enjoys helping others, even if they're a complete stranger. He always thinks of others (even strangers) before himself, which can sometimes lead to trouble. He almost never rejects favors asked from him and tries to complete them no matter what, unless a serious obstacle is in the way. He also usually keeps his opinions to himself unless he feels very strongly about it.
Hikaru's family work most of the day, so he only sees them at night and in the early morning. He loves his family very much but wishes he could see them more often. However, they came home less and less each day due to work until they one day told him to move to Hikarizaka to meet new people, make a living, and help out the family. Hikaru actually had quite a bit of money for a student, so he brought it with him to Hikarizaka.
Hikaru doesn't know the outside world well, so he has no clue what most music, TV channels, movies, etc. people see. Therefore, he just does what he likes in his spare time, such as taking walks around the neighborhood or drawing. He's skilled at drawing and cooking.
One of Hikaru's goals is to befriend at least a few people at the school, to overcome his weaknesses and become braver by doing so. He loves having company and being with others, but he's used to being alone.
Due to Hikaru's quiet nature, people tend not to notice him. He notices this, and it's one of the reasons why he's so quiet; he doesn't think anyone knows who he is and doesn't think they want to either.
Even if it's just an acquaintance, Hikaru tends to open up quickly to people he knows. However, he has trouble calling people by their name until he knows them better and actually knows their name, because sometimes he thinks he's calling them by the wrong name so he's reluctant to call anyone their name. He just gets their attention while trying to act natural at the same time.
Hikaru sometimes sets goals for himself, and is determined to complete it. He thinks of it as doing a favor for himself, and will try to reach his goals unless he finds out halfway that it's not worth it.
Hikaru's actually very unorganized and people notice it. This leads to him forgetting assignments here and there all the time. He tries to fix this bad habit, but to no avail.
Hikaru's personality, in a paragraph, is that he's timid with strangers. By himself or with people he knows, though, he' Wears plain clothes, dislikes starting conversations, but wants to know some people that he can rely on and trust. Helps anyone whenever he can, and tries to complete his goals. Loves his family a lot, and is a caring person. However, he's very unorganized.
History:
Hikaru was born on the snowy day of November 22nd. He spent a lot of time with his parents, spending a lot of quality time with them, going on trips and having fun. This continued until after elementary school, when they devoted more time to work.
Hikaru had to learn to walk to school, walk home, cook lunch and dinner, and more since they worked more often. Due to this, he became a very good cook. He became quiet during his time at junior high, when he was all alone, sometimes worrying about his parents and if they were working too hard. His father, however, continuously taught him to have determination and that determination led to success.
During Hikaru's third year in high school, his parents told him to go to the nearby town known as Hikarizaka, take care of himself there, and one day bring them there to help the family. He agreed, taking on that responsibility while enrolling in the local private high school there.
Hikaru never grew up with childhood friends, but often made acquaintances here and there. He started wondering how it would be to have a true friend- someone who he could trust, rely on, and talk to while time passes during school.
During his third year in high school, he had made a goal that he would know a little about his classmates. He met several people, but he suddenly had to move to Hikarizaka, making him lose all his previous acquaintances. He was used to being alone, though, and he didn't really know them that well, so he didn't really care.
Since he moved to a new school, he hoped to restart his goal while going through high school. He thought that it'd be nice to actually know some people instead of being by himself most of the time, because sometimes it's hard to be alone.

Seen the Anime/Played the Game?: You bet! I love CLANNAD so much! I rewatched it twice, watched it dubbed, watched the Motion Film, listened to all the soundtracks, and 100%'d the Visual Novel. Makes me wonder what else there is in CLANNAD.
How Did You Find Us?: Google. I entered Hikarizaka by mistake and found a CLANNAD board that seemed a bit active, which made me overjoyed to see people who still talked about CLANNAD. I immediately registered, but had to wait a few days to get activated.
Sample RP: Something I typed up just for this character. If someone thinks that it should be longer, I'll extend the story. The story also seems more like a fanfic than a RP, so if that needs to be fixed, just tell me.
The wind was blowing heavily, and the sky was filled with clouds darkened as if they were about to rain. In a certain household, no one was home except for a boy. He seemed to be about 11 years old, cooking some food and cleaning the house. He glanced at the clock every once in a while while cooking. 8:37 PM... in several minutes, his parents should be home.
The boy heard a single beep from the kitchen, and so he pressed a button. A flashing red light darkened and he prepared a simple meal. After he finished eating, he glanced at the clock again... 8:53 PM.
A few minutes later, he heard the door open. "Welcome back," the boy exclaimed. "I've cooked some food in the kitchen."
"Ah, good. Your father's still at work, so how about you go and get ready for bed? You have a long day tomorrow... your first day, right?"
"Yes, mother. I'll go and get ready now. Good night." The boy went up and kissed his mother's cheek, and then walked into the hall.
A period of several hours at night seemed to pass by as quickly as a few minutes. The alarm clock went off, and the boy woke up and turned it off. He took a shower, grabbed his bag, got dressed, ate a quick meal, brushed his teeth, and left the house.
As he walked to school, he saw many kids ready for the new year. He thought to himself, "Wow. They all seem so happy to see each other."
He arrived to class a few minutes before the bell rang. He looked around the new classroom. His first day in junior high. he silently prayed that it would be a successful year... His first year that he would be alone more than ever.
