Recently we have been discussing the English dub of the series, and a group of us members have thought it might be fun for us to do our own fandub of a scene from the series. We will not be doing the entire series (way too much work), but maybe do a scene every once in a while for the fun of it as a project to get everyone in the site involved! Right now of course, we need to figure out what scene we want to do and who would voice who.
What Scene To Do? If you want to suggest a scene from the series for us to do, please post here. Please include at least three characters within the scene so more people can join in. Also must be from Clannad, not After Story
Voice Auditions If you want to audition for a certain voice, follow these rules:
1) For best results use the Audacity program, but any sound recorder would do. Audacity would allow you to mess with speed, pitch, and tempo to fit a little better though.
2) If possible, use the sound as part of a video uploaded to Tinypic or Photobucket. If not, upload it to something like Mediafire as well as a .wav file.
3) For best results, try and get a variety of emotions and go for at least a minute or so of voices
4) Please send in your voices by October 30. Final choices should be finished by November 6.
Character's Available Tomoya Sunohara Nagisa Ryou Kyo Tomoyo Kotomi Akio Sanae
More probably will open as scenes are chosen.

Guidelines for Scene Suggestion 1. Send me a link to a VIDEO, either on YouTube or Veoh or something [preferrably where I can download it, and YouTube counts for that] of the particular scene. As well, you can link me to the actual episode, though that might cause some issues. 2. IT MUST BE A CLIP FROM THE DUB. I will most likely script it out quickly for which characters will be in the scene, so, yeah.
Sending Your Lines [Only After Being Casted] 1. IMPORTANT: your audio must be in a .wav, .wma, or .mp3 file. 2. You MUST have at least a 2 to 3 second interval IN THE AUDIO ITSELF between each of your lines. OR you must have each line as a separate file in itself. The first option is most preferrable as I have a bit more editing power in that regard. 3. Avoid background noise. The less I have to deal with that, the better. 4. ARTICULATE, ARTICULATE, ARTICULATE. Make sure your words are clear and concise. 5. Don't rush your lines. 6. I will ask you to redo your lines if they are not articulated very well or are rushed. [Sorry, but I'm a bit nitpicky on this.] 7. Mediafire is a good place to upload~ 8. If you can save your files in something other than .wav format IF POSSIBLE, then please do so. If it's too large to host anywhere, you can also email me the files [my email can be found on my Kyou profile]. WMA or MP3 formats work really well for that sort of thing. If you've got multiple files [as you're doing them file-per-line] then put them in a .zip file. It shall make my life 10 times easier. :3
*note: following the articulation/not rushing may also help if you try it in the audition, too.

My Tomoyo audition:
I may or may not audition for some other characters... it depends if I can actually get my voice to fit the others well enough for them to sound at least satisfactory. ^^;

I-I've been reaaaalllyyyy absentee and I know it, I'm sorry, but I will post an audition here and make a character app as soon as I have time and stop being sick D: ('cause sickness messes with my voice, so an audition right now would be... not great, and unrepresentative of the best I think I could do ><)

Well, I'm sorry to say that since the only results sent in were Saska and Celena, we really can't go through with this. So I thank the two of you for offering to do it, but it seems we currently don't have the manpower and voicing talent at the moment to pull it off.

Okay, I know I'm bringing up a rather old idea, but I've recently been talking with Galaxeh (you might remember him...) about a rather silly but fun idea for a Clannad fandub. We were thinking of starting a series of videos that will follow the Clannad visual novel's different routes.
It'll be done kind of like an AMV, with clips from different episodes put together, but I'm going to do my best to make the video clips flow well enough that it'll look like it's an episode. We'll be using dialogue from the translated Clannad visual novel, but I'm not planning on covering an entire route. Only scenes that indicate a pairing between two characters which wasn't covered in the anime will be done. If you have any more ideas for parts of the visual novel that would be fun to do, suggest away!
These are all just plans, and these plans will probably change, but if anyone's interested in voicing a character, just speak out. xD I'm not going to be picky. You can be your own judge if you think you can voice act the character well enough. If we have multiple people who want to do one specific character, we can let someone voice that character for one scene and then switch people for another scene so it's fair for everyone.

Personally I would love to see the 64-hit combo scene from Tomoyo's route. That scene had me in stitches. I could give Tomoya a try but I don't have any experience. I just hope it doesn't sound like the official dub, that guy was so dull!

Well considering both my Sunohara and Akio voice tests for another fandub were... Not so good xD I think I'd like to try Tomoya too.

Ooh, nice idea Tomoya. I don't know what the dialogue is shortly before the 64-chain starts... if you know, please enlighten me. xD I'll try to find it, though. Also, you two feel free to voice any character you'd like. You can do Sunohara and Akio if you'd like, Nick (even if you don't think they sound good, they're quite good).
We were also planning on doing the gay for Sunohara route. I'll ask Galaxeh if he's still interested in voicing Sunohara for that.

I remember Sunohara was trying to get Tomoyo to take off the bear mask but she refuses so he pretends to go away, right as Tomoyo and Tomoya walk off to leave he yells "Chance!" and jumps on her. I can find the exact dialogue for you when the time comes, since I have the visual novel and all.

Ooh, that's good. xD Thanks. Now that you mention it, I remember. I can find the rest of the dialogue on youtube. I was just missing that part. For now, I shall put together a video (or attempt to).
Edit: Okay, so far I have... only 1 minute of the video done. xD But here's the voices to be used in the scene (off the top of my head. I shall add more when I get home from school.):
Major roles
Sunohara Tomoya Tomoyo
Minor roles
Ryou Kyou Fuko Misae Akio Miyazawa One of Miyazawa's gang guys Koumura (the elderly school administrator)
