Nagisa Furukawa

Nagisa didn’t feel too great when she heard him go “Hmmm.” That was usually the sign of thought, and in her experience that usually meant he hadn’t thought about it at all or he was trying to think of an nice way to reject the offer. She wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt however, and so simply waited for him to give her an answer of some sorts. It took him a moment, but she was starting to get used to his mind wandering. Ayumu-san always seemed to have some sort of day-dreaming look to him. When he eventually gave an answer, it was the feared “He didn’t know.” She should of known that was the case; things hadn’t been going so well with the Drama Club recently. It wouldn’t be surprising if someone was iffy about joining.[/size]
”Oh, that’s all right. I hadn’t really expected much thought on it anyway. I’m sure you’ve been busy.” she responded, comforting herself as much as him. She had noticed he always seemed to get upset when she did so she was trying to be nice about it. Ayumu must be a really sensitive person or something to act that way though.
However, he soon questioned her on how the Drama Club had been going, and to that Nagisa did have to get a little depressed. Okazaki and Sunohara-san hadn’t been around often, and things hadn’t gone much further after a short meeting. She had tried to make some posters too, but she got distracted, and the ones she did post up didn’t draw much interest if any at all. Overall, it hadn’t been going that well.
”I-I-It’s not been doing very well. Okazaki-san and Sunohara-san seem to have other issues on their mind right now and so we haven’t been able to schedule any more meetings. B-but I’m sure once things clear up on their end they’ll be willing to help. They may sound kind of rude but they really are nice people when things are tough.”
With that Nagisa hoped she cheered herself up, but she still felt rather down about it all. Her dream was to restore the Drama Club, but so far it wasn’t making much progress. And after what she just told him about it, she doubted Ayumu-san would be rushing to join in. After all, who would want to join in a dead club? With her finger Nagisa started to absentmindedly draw the Dango Daikazoku into the sand to distract herself as she spoke up again.
”I-if you don’t want to join, you don’t have to join Ayumu-san. I’m not going to force you to do so.”
