Playing Cassandra: Reprise

OC: This is what I call a 'booth' thread, for lack of a better term, though other booths in the Founder's Festival might not work this way.
This is how it goes: a person enters, gets their fortune told by Ryou, and then they react and leave (or be ushered to leave, since there might be other people in line), unless you can think of some reason why they would stay.
I will demonstrate in the succeeding posts with Ayumu. Other people are free to enter when the one preceding them has exited, unless the one preceding them is one of the exceptions listed above. (Of course, even this has exceptions... like if two people want to have their combined fortunes or something.)
Also, it would really help if you can give me the details of a future event you have planned for your character which Ryou will predict, in her own skewed way.
This happened on May 11, 9:00 AM.tell me my future, my tragedy. In the relative seclusion of her curtained corner, the starcrossed soothsayer sighed.
It was not as if she did not like the idea... that a little booth for the Founder's Festival would be one that would be showcasing her fortunetelling. It was just... somewhat uncomfortable being the center of attention, even when one considered that their stop would not be the only stop people would see and drop by on, and even if it was just a slightly more decorated version of her usual sessions.
Perhaps it was because one usually thought of a booth as a presentation where everybody received a fair amount of notice... well, there were groups who went with plays, and there were plays with just one main character, but as far as Ryou was concerned, she did not like being a main character.
Still, it was not like she was alone.
She was not even supposed to have a booth of her own; she was a third year, and third years weren't supposed to have booths, let alone one single student as opposed to a whole class. But... a bunch of her 'regulars', in fortunetelling, had pleaded with her, as it was her last year in Hikarazaka High... and so, in the end, she caved in. They had promised to take care of everything... and they had.
She was wearing her uniform under the drapelike robes her friends had scrounged for her, to make her look more 'mysterious', so to speak. The place was arrayed in lavender and blue, the windows were closed and covered, and mellow light sources were used (candlelight was too smoky). Someone brought some incense sticks, and while they were not visible, their faint smell tinged the surroundings. False skulls and other eerie items were forbidden, to most of the males' disappointment. Senbei with fortunes inside, as well as refreshments, were available for customers. A crystal ball was offered, but she refused. It was small, not even a classroom, but it was her hovel for today.
She now sat with the back of her chair to the wall, her usual desk covered in flowing violet, her eyes pegged at the cloth divider.
"Fujibayashi-san, we're opening!"
Well, like she had said to herself, she did not really... dislike it. Besides, she was most courageous in this scenario... maybe she could get a little closer to her sister's 'level' with this.
"Okay!"

It seemed like a mixture of the magical and the mundane.
On one hand, there were the electric fans that kept the summer heat, made tangible by the small space and the dark theme, from baking the inside of the improvised seer's quarters. On the other, there was the ambiance; while it was mostly make-believe, mostly entertainment, the shadowy lighting made one free to imagine that someone inside just might know what is beyond the proverbial horizon.
Mizukami Ayumu was by no means a superstitious person (he preferred less rigid fantasies); however, he was definitely a curious person, and curiosity had a way of spilling over many different things, and obviously there would come a point where the future... or ways to foresee it, even if they were not necessarily proven... would be something he would be curious about. And so it was that the second year found himself pulling the cloth that hung over the entrance, and passing through the threshold, so to speak.
While the place was a bit cramped and did not have that many attendants... they made up for it with a silent, courteous enthusiasm, and as the sophomore had observed, presentation.
Here was a sort of waiting area; there was, to the right, someone selling food and drink to the side, and then there were those posted to solicit a small amount for peeking surreptitiously into one's winding road of fate. The crew were from different year levels. They were mostly girls, though there were a couple of boys, the white-haired lad observed; they were arrayed in flowing robes, though their uniforms peeked from the openings. Is it mostly women who dabble in stuff like this? It's fairly interesting...
He approached the cloth divider, the usher offering him a smile, whilst two of those at the not-so-far end seemed to be whispering about him... something about him being a he and being their first customer, and not buying senbei, although he wasn't completely sure, and he didn't really mind that much. Yet again he went past the parting divider, and was pleasantly surprised.
Oh, it's Fujibayashi-senpai. It's been a while since I've... met her. They had bumped (in the clumsy, not-graceful-at-all manner) into each other in the shopping district once, and were acquainted, though not much more than that. He had learned since then about how she had a sort-of guardian in the form of a tome-throwing older sister (and he had somehow evaded her wrath... and that Koji-senpai liked her, but that was irrelevant), but he did not know she did fortune-telling. He bowed. "Good morning, senpai."
"May I sit here?" he said, more out of politeness, as the seat seemed obviously reserved for his upperclasswoman's customer. "I don't know much about fortunetelling, but I guess I'll have whichever reading is usual." he said.

"Mizukami-san! Yes, sit down, sit down."
It was somebody she knew, and even if it was just an acquaintance... well, it helped that her first customer, at least, was not a complete stranger. There was that subtle rush of energy, that secret enthusiasm, that accompanies the recognition that one is not 'alone', that one is in the company of friends. While it was nothing compared to the awkward comfort of being with a certain loved one (as in the case of a certain male in section A), or the warm assurance of the presence of kin and bosom friends, it was similarly irrefutable.
The representative shifted in her seat; she had risen a little in greeting the junior. She stopped when she thought she was appropriately placed, and nodded at the second-year's specifications.
To be frank, it was not as if she gave the people she told fortunes for a rigid set of options; they were free to ask their questions, or even none at all. In the case of Mizukami Ayumu, it was a general outlook, although as the case with her trusty deck, impending issues can steal the show.
She unsheathed her cards from its casing, gingerly placing them on the table. "Please shuffle the cards." she requested. The querent waited for the boy to return the rearranged pack, and as soon as he did, she placed the stack in the middle of the table.
The girl allowed for a moment of silence to pass (well, as silent as it could be with the raucous sounds coming from the other booths and from the grounds) and then, in a rather solemn manner, took the first three cards from the top, and laid them face down in front of her client.
"Okay, let's start."
She began the revelation. "Seven of Hearts." she announced, reading as she flipped the card, the symbol of romance upon it along with the corresponding number. "There is someone that you follow." she said simply. The third year did not feel necessarily being detailed with this reading, though that did not mean she was trying to get it over with; it just turned out that Ayumu's fate was easily simplified, or at least the message of her cards about the aforementioned fate was.
"Ace of Diamonds." It was the name of the next trump. The small red shape was dwarfed by the white space about it. "There is someone that follows you." she intoned, in much the same rhythm as the preceding statement, as if to underline the similarities between the interpretation of the first and the second card. The lavender-haired lass checked the spread for a moment, as if to review her work, as if it had not been she who had been the dispenser of predictions. She looked indeed as if she found the painted situation novel, something removed from the making of her imagination.
She went to the final card. "Two of Spades." It looked like Mizukami-san was in a bit of a dilemma... how should she word this part? "If you continue at your current pace..." It was the conclusion. "...you will find yourself in an enviable place." It sounded a bit vague, but maybe it would make sense for who it was meant for. Besides, fortunetelling can be vague at times.
"There, that's it." she cheerfully ended. "It's just a fortune, so... well, it might not come true..." She felt a bit compelled to reassure the boy, since it seemed he was going to make a decision... if the fortune had been correct.
"You can treat it as advice, Mizukami-san."
She waited to listen for whatever he wanted to say, and to bid him a gracious goodbye once he decides to depart. She hoped she had been of help. She might not run into Mizukami often, but he did seem like a nice person... and nice people deserved the nicer outcomes of life.
"Thank you for coming to our booth."

OC: Ayumu exits~ Please talk to me if you want to enter this thread~He fumbled with the cards as they were given to him. Shuffle them? "Uh... I'll try." He'd probably just cut the deck, and cut it again... he didn't really know how people pulled off that trick, where the cards mysteriously change positions in a fluttering flash. Perhaps his inability to do so reflected how he handled life... frugal... and a little clumsy... in action.
He gingerly set about the task before him. He stopped rearranging the pack when he felt the order was randomized enough. He breathed in in anticipation, and slowly pushed the little pillar back to his elder. He listened intently as she began.
"Seven of Hearts."
"There is someone that you follow."
Follow? It might not have been obvious with the slight changes in his expression, but the sudden glint in his eyes revealed that he was jolted. His lavender-haired senpai was doing a good job with this fortune-telling thing, make-believe or not, since that pronouncement definitely hit the mark, and he was sure there were very few people who knew of that... and that was the first thing that came to mind when he heard the words 'someone' and 'follow'. Granted, he had not been doing much 'following'... he had only moved a little from his proverbial position a year ago. The seven of hearts... it probably meant his joining the drama club... it meant... Furukawa-senpai. If that's what she would start with, what else would she say?
"Ace of Diamonds."
"There is someone that follows you."
Now that's something I don't know about... He had felt inclined to, well, slightly believe his senior's proclamations, or at least try to apply their general moral to his situation, but this was going well into the realm of the unknown... and it would only help if by some reason Fujibayashi-senpai's foresight was exceptionally correct, and her correctness was in the realm of the unknown, too. If he would hazard a guess on who could be... 'following' him, in the sense that he 'follows' Furukawa-senpai... the person he'd been involved with most recently had been Fuukami-san, but she definitely was not following him... well, to be more exact, she demands that I... follow her... was that completely... different?
At any rate... she had identified two things about my future condition... now what? "Two of Spades." As if hearing that thought, her next declarations seemingly answered him... or not. "...you will find yourself in an enviable place." Well, that was a bit unclear... enviable? Does that mean that it would be better if I keep my current pace? Somehow that conclusion did not suit Ayumu's internal instincts; it felt like... it should not have been said that way. But then, what would happen if he changed his pace? How would he change his pace?
And with that, it ended.
"It's just a fortune, so... well, it might not come true..."
He nodded, attempting a shifty smile; he probably had been sporting an intensely serious expression with all his pondering. Maybe he should not be taking it too seriously... Advice, huh? Well... "...if you say so, Fujibayashi-senpai." He should probably watch out for what the fortune was saying... but he should not rely on it, as if it were absolutely essential. At its worst, well, he could say it was fun; a possibility... a conjecture... a story. Different... possible futures, huh? This was definitely... interesting. Maybe I could do this again.
"Thank you too, senpai."
"I'll give the payment to the senpai outside..."

Why am I even here? This crap doesn't interest me...
Takumi was stood outside of a room - or rather a booth - which was designed to be all cryptic and mysterious. He'd been told that it was a fortune-telling booth by his grandmother of all people. Sometimes I wonder where she gets this informations from...
The idea of going to this 'booth' was ridiculous in his mind, and yet he'd ended up here anyway. It was stupid to ask questions as to why he was here, because he knew exactly why he'd walked to this room; the events of the previous day had gotten his brain ticking, and he was beginning to wonder what was in store for him. Was he destined to live the remainder of his life this way - hating everything, everyone, wanting everything to just end - or was there any hope in changing? Was there anything left for him now?
"Thank you too Senpai. I'll give the payment to the Senpai outside."
The words broke Takumi from his thoughts, and he watched as a younger student left the room. The student was quite short, maybe a little taller than the girl that had disrupted his music practice the previous day. His hair was a grey-white, and framed his face perfectly, and was relatively short. Takumi didn't see the boys eyes as he walked down the corridor. After his quick overview of the student he came to realise that he was at the front of the queue, and so entered the room swiftly - the sooner this was over with, the better.
He was left momentarily stunned at the change in atmosphere in the room. The smell of incenses stung his nasal passage, and it took a few seconds for his nose to adjust and stop tickling. The air itself was actually quite pleasant, something which surprised Takumi; from the smell, he expected the air to feel quite heavy. But instead he was met with a mild temperature, probably helped by the fans in the room. Well I guess not everything can be made to look cryptic. It's fortune-telling, not witchcraft...
Continuing through the room, he reach the fortune-teller - a girl he hadn't met before by the looks of things. Or maybe he just hadn't paid much attention to her before this point, which was probably the more plausible reason - and seated himself before her.
"My name is Yukimotou Takumi, class 3-C. I'm here for a reading."
His tone was somewhat cold, and his words were kept blunt and to-the-point. He wasn't going to waste more time here than he needed to; which to be honest, he didn't need to at all really.

To say the least, he intimidated her.
He hadn't done much yet, and yet his atmosphere was... oppressive. At least, it seemed so, to the lavender-haired girl. His hair was light as Mizukami's, and his eyes were blue, too, as if to contrast between he who was departing and he who was entering.
And yet, there the similarities end. The newcomer was taller, lankier, reminiscent of... a scarecrow (and Ryou felt almost like a crow). Whereas her underclassman acquaintance was mild, the person felt harsh... it was in his movements, in his expression... the younger Fujibayashi almost felt like comparing him with somebody else, perhaps... with her classmate Okazaki... except...
"Uh, yes..."
Or perhaps she was... overthinking it. Some people aren't like how they look like. Besides, he was a stranger, she knew nothing about him... and he probably wouldn't be the last stranger she would be meeting while staying in this booth. True, he didn't look like he particularly cared what she would say, with her cards, but he did come, he was a customer, and... she should probably stop worrying and get to it.
"My name is Fujibayashi Ryou, class 3-D..." she ended up echoing; he had spoken his name, and so she had given hers...
She went off to her cards, fiddling with them. Her nervousness played with her fingers, and once... twice she made a mistake, a card or two would fall out of the pack and she would have to regroup. Her natural clumsiness was slipping through the metaphorical cracks, even if she was trying her best to keep herself together. Still, while it took a little longer, it was still rather quick, and soon enough she had the three cards for her reading, face down before herself, before her client.
"T-two of Spades. You stand before a wall." she stuttered.
She wondered what could it mean. Was... Yukimotou-san... stuck with something? Yet again, it was just the first card... she should focus on delivering the fortune, not wondering what it could mean, even though that was half the fun, there was time for that later...
"Jack of Spades. Wishing it gone, you lash against the wall."
She sounded less... mysterious, less solemn, than when she had been presenting to Mizukami. Still, the cards were her fortress, and she was holding on.
"Nine of Clubs. You stubbornly remain before the unperturbed wall."
What did it mean? Was there something that Yukimotou-san was striving for... but did her fortune mean that his efforts were doomed? Any conclusion she would make would only be conjecture...
"Um... that's it. It's just a fortune, so it's not necessarily absolute..." she felt compelled to add, in ending, since what she had said might have... offended him. How would Yukimotou-san react? She was almost afraid to know.

Her lavender hair temporarily caught his attention, although given how no other words had been spoken yet – and how the girl hadn’t moved an inch since he’d sat down – it was no surprise that something so trivial had caught his eye. After just a couple of seconds however, Takumi snapped back to reality. He was here for a reason…or perhaps it was more of a momentary pass-time. Whatever the reason, he was going to end up paying for this reading, so he may as well stay focussed.
”Uh, yes…”
Not the best of starts…but still…
In his mind Takumi was already having his doubts. This girl seemed nervous unlike a lot of the other stalls. In fact, the only reason she had customers was probably due to the specific nature of the booth she was providing; it was certainly unique, very much out there and definitely a lot more eye-catching than most of the other booths, even to those who weren’t particularly interested – Takumi included.
”My name is Fujibayashi Ryou, Class 3-D…”
Twice. Twice in two days he’d had this scene before him – two rather shy and quiet girls, who would introduce themselves only because he had done so beforehand. The deja-vu was phenomenal, and certainly added to the somewhat mystical feel of the room around him. For a moment, Takumi was almost satisfied with the girl’s recovery. However this only lasted that one moment.
As Fujibayashi turned her attention to her cards – Takumi noted that it was the same care and attention he gave his guitar when playing – her nerves came into play, and were as clear as the daylight concealed behind the curtains of the room. She made a mistake once…twice. Twice she had to pick cards up from the floor and recover, regain her bearings. It was almost painful to watch, but Takumi showed no sign of this, nor did he show signs of wanting to leave; he’d have only made her more nervous if he moved and would have had to pay if he left, regardless of whether he’d received a reading.
After those painful few moments, Fujibayashi seemed ready to give the reading. She placed three cards face-down on the table. She turned the first and announced it. ”T-two of spades. You stand before a wall.”
He certainly felt like he’d just walked into one. That could’ve meant any number of things in his lifestyle; he was always faced with difficulties in his musical endeavours. Then of course there was his studies. He’d not been able to focus in a long time now all because…
…wait…it’s only the first card…
Despite the girl’s apparent nerves, Takumi’s mind was focussed on her words now. His attention was turned immediately back to the cards before him, as Fujibayashi turned the second card and announced it again.
”Jack of Spades. Wishing it gone, you lash against the wall.”
Lashing…that’s what those words felt like against his mind, as he began to link what the two cards were signalling. But he couldn’t possibly be certain yet as to what they meant. He would have to wait for the third card to be turned – he wouldn’t have to wait for long.
Fujibayashi turned the third card and announced it;
”Nine of Clubs. You stubbornly remain before the unperturbed wall.”
And there it was. The reading was complete, and each of the words spoken were whirling in the young man’s head, spinning and turning, becoming a swirling mass of thought and consideration. He cut through it all for now. He’d think about it more later. However one thing was for sure; this reading hadn’t been as much of a waste of time as he’d expected. In fact, this girl – Ryou Fujibayashi – had just hit his life and his troubles almost head-on. Whether this was deliberate or not didn’t cross Takumi’s mind. He was simply impressed at the accuracy, although he still needed the time to piece it all together of course.
"Um... that's it. It's just a fortune, so it's not necessarily absolute..."
Takumi nodded to show he understood, and then slowly raised his head to look at the fortune-telling girl before him. ”I….I’m impressed…” His tone was certainly less cold this time. He sounded lost in thought, surprising when put in comparison to his stubborn approach before the reading.
”…I’ll think those words over…see if they’re relevant…thank you Fujibayashi…”
The blonde haired boy stood up and bowed his head at the girl before he spoke to her again. “I will hand the payment over as I leave…” he added, before turning away and leaving the room. It was strange how the atmosphere outside the room now felt much heavier with these words weighting down the young man’s mind; ” You stand before a wall.” “Wishing it gone, you lash against the wall.” “You stubbornly remain before the unperturbed wall .” What did it mean exactly? A part of him already knew.
Kyou entered Hikarizaka High School fanning herself with a sheet of paper with the location of Ryou's booth scribbled in the margin.
"Gosh it is hot out today"
Walking down the hallway, she realized that she had no reason to be at the Founders Festival other than visiting Ryou's booth. She wasn't interested in seeing her classmates or playing games. She just wanted to support her sister.
Turning the corner, a large amount of people overwhelmed her. Squeezing her way through the crowd she approached Ryou's booth.
"I wonder what my fortune will be today? Love? Good Luck? Success? Bad Luck..."
She peaked into Ryou's booth and was surprised with the lack of people in Ryou's booth. Getting the urge to knock some heads, she swallowed it and smiled.
"Good morning Ryou! I am here for you to tell me my future"

(OC, Kyou: For now, this: I think Kyou would be interested in other stuff in the festival, she is her own person too, even if she cares a lot for her sister. Also, try to be more specific with your descriptions... although I'm not sure if that's the right way to phrase that sort of advice... (maybe Legend and Vivo could explain more...) wait for Sunohara to drop in before you post again!)Yukimotou's exit did not leave Ryou alone for too long; with her trademark abruptness somebody, once again, very familiar (in fact, she was family) chose to appear, none other than her older sister, the fabled Fujibayashi Kyou.
"O-oneechan!"
She did expect her sister to drop in; after all, seniors like her did not necessarily have booths of their own... hers was a special sort of circumstance... and as such, they were free to wander about the festival, specially those who were not steeped in studying to get into a university. (On a side note, she might have to study a little harder, considering she had let her hobby turn into an extracurricular activity...) Furthermore, as was the case when her sibling had an opportunity to do so, she checked up on her. As such, her exclamation was more happy than surprised (the surprised part was mostly because her sister was agile).
In fact, she was even happier that the festival allowed them to meet, like this; they had been both busy with certain things (third year of high school can be rather stressful), and to top it off, the older Fujibayashi had been unable to attend their trip to the hot springs. "Sit down, sit down, oneechan... ah, but that's the seat for the one whose fortune is going to be told..." she fussed, for the small partition only had a seat for her and for one other. "Can we have another chair--" she began, as she was about to call for one of her comrades...
And then her sister declared that she was not simply visiting, she was even having her fortune told.
"Uh... really, oneechan?"
Her sister had once humored her hobby... once, and just once, and after that she had avoided it like the plague; she had refused politely in other situations, having this strange quirky grin in her face, as if... there was something that would happen if she asked for her fortune (she did not ask, and her sister did not explain either). She did invite others in exchange (with that same strange quirky grin, as if there was something that would happen if they had their fortunes told). So it was yet again a pleasant surprise... her sister was humoring her again.
"Uh... let's see... any particular aspect of the future in mind?"

So it was true what the people outside were talking about; there really WAS a fortune-telling booth here. Excellent. Maybe now, finally, he could get some clues on who the love of his life might be! Or maybe he could woo the fortune teller into dating him - assuming that the fortune-teller was a cute girl of course which, given the topic at hand, was highly probable.
To most, these thoughts would be considered desperate. A desperate young man’s thoughts, when in a dire drought of love. But that dire drought of love was the exact reason this all made sense to a certain blond haired senior. Youhei Sunohara began to bound down the corridors and up the stairs to reach the room that had been pointed out by those interested students below. Of course, his memory failed him. On several occasions he burst into the wrong booth with some ludicrous statement leaving his lips before his brain could fully register his surroundings.
But finally, after six mistaken rooms, Sunohara made it to the fortune-telling booth. Curious as to who the fortune-teller was – and whether his assumption had been correct – he attempted to peek into the booth. He was stopped by the student outside the door who’d been collecting the payments during the day. Clearly he wasn’t going to be able to see this lustrous stargazer unless he coughed up. His hand fell absent-mindedly into his pocket to feel how much money he had in there. It seemed to be enough – and yet, not enough to pay for a date should he succeed in wooing the girl – to pay for the fortune.
“Don’t worry! I’m a customer!” He proudly proclaimed, before stepping into the booth with his eyes closed and his chest puffed out. Confidence. That was the key to success. But now he needed some sort of a line to lure the girl in. He hadn’t thought this far ahead! Once again, Sunohara’s mouth engaged without his brain. “Hey! I’d like to find out about my lovelife, and whether you’re in it.”
Perfect! He couldn’t have thought of a better line if he’d tried. As he opened his eyes to see her reaction, his entire confident expression froze. Before him was Fujibayashi Kyou.
“YOU?!” This time he didn’t need to think. This was a reaction from his very gut. Kyou was the last person he wanted to see. Well, besides maybe Sakagami Tomoyo.
After pulling himself together, he managed to take in his surroundings. It wasn’t just Fujibayashi Kyou in the room. Ryou was here too. It made sense now. “Ahhhh. I got it! Ryou is the fortune teller, and Fujibayashi here is checking up on you right?!”
A good recovery. He was doing well today.
"But Okazaki-sempaaai~!"
Erina's wails filled the stairwell as her upperclassman dragged her along, the second years' cafe no longer in sight but still in her mind. There had been such pretty decorations and costumes! The scent of tea! There had been cake! How could he not want cake? What about the "prize" she had been promised at the haunted house? This consistent denial of food was becoming distressing.
She continued to protest as Okazaki led her down the third year hallway, but her whines soon died down to a quiet whimper and pout before eventually, taking a deep breath and scrunching up her face in apparent concentration, she fell silent. That's right! She had to remember this was Okazaki's day! Food was very, very important, but friends were even more important! He should decide what to do! He should choose where to-
"Ehhh? What's that?"
The girl's "selflessness" was immediately forgotten as the faint scent of incense tickled her nose, shattering her ever-shifting focus and drawing her bright, curious eyes toward a small gathering of students further down the hall. What booth was this? Third years weren't supposed to have booths, were they? Was it... a secret club? The air of mystery captivated her, and the sunshine quickly returned to her demeanor.
She bounced into action, tugging at her upperclassman's sleeve and dragging him along as she impulsively hurried toward the intriguing spectacle. What kind of secret booth would a secret club have? Whatever it was, it would probably be exciting!
"Okazaki-sempai! Look, look! Do you know what that is?" she bubbled, pigtails swinging as her face turned back and forth between boy and booth. As had become her signature, though, she did not wait for his answer. The pieces began to come together as she quickly devoured the scene (Though not nearly as quickly as she devoured food).
The mysterious, dimly lit atmosphere. Purple and blue furnishings. Groups of giggling girls. The smoky, yet pleasant fragrance of incense. This was clearly...
"A witch club?!"
Did Hikarizaka have such a club? She glanced at Okazaki for confirmation while simultaneously pulling him toward the booth. Did they make potions here? Or cast spells? Could she learn to be a witch too?!
"Can we go inside? Please, please, please?"

"Absolutely not."
He wasn't sure if it was to protect her, or to protect himself, but anywhere where a pervert of such magnitude was around had to be bad news. So it seemed that the school, while low on troublemakers, still had it's fair share of mega perverts. He could only hope his companion had not already met with one or, if she had, was capable enough to defend herself. Her pleas seemed to suggest otherwise.
His pace and thoughts, however, were forcibly jolted to a stop as his companion suddenly stopped beside him.
"What are you-"
It was then he realized what she was staring at so intently. A booth. In his classroom. ...huh? His mind seemed to sluggishly attempt to connect the dots. He was a third year. Third years rarely, if ever, had booths as the entire class were often focused on exams. What's more, this was *his* class. He had skipped class on plenty occasion, but it seemed impossible that both him and Sunohara would have missed this. If anything, his blonde compatriot may have suggested crashing it just for the fun of it. What the heck was this?
It was then, he realized, they were actually moving toward it. Her bubbly exclamations betrayed her excitement and joy, and he couldn't help but ask himself how she could be so excited for this when she was so terrified of the haunted house. Then he noticed the giggling. A large group of girls. Not only that, but the booth didn't seem to take up the entire class, and there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate the entire class. Groups of giggling girls, his class...realization finally dawned as him. It had to be none other then
"A witch club?!"
"A witch club!"
He said with full confiden-
"Wait, who said anything about witches?! Besides, how can you act so excited when you were so scared just moments ago?!"
He exclaimed, now verbalizing his previous thoughts. It wasn't actually a witch club though (whatever that may be), but a fortune-telling booth. He had seen the large group of girls, even from other classes, eagerly awaiting Ryou's fortune telling on many occasions. Though he was certain in his assessment, he, or rather she, had already laid claim to this new, more...imaginative title. He felt it was his obligation, nay, his duty, to play along.
"Can we go inside? Please, please, please?"
"Hmm..."
He closed his eyes and dipped his head for a few moments, as if in deep thought...then responded with an air of mystery
"I guess it can't be helped...now that you know their secret...you must be very careful. Witches tend to have a terrible personality and are extremely vain. No matter what you *must* compliment them in whatever way possible. I'd recommend at least 3 compliments, lest they curse you for being an ungrateful guest. Not only that, but they hate water more then anything else, so don't mention it. In fact, don't even think about it: They can read minds after all. A senior boy by the name of Sunohara Youhei once broke these rules...he actually attends this very same class. Now he is doomed to be alone for the rest of his life, despite his lifelong dream to find true love. "
He was about to move forward, his story now complete, when he realized who he was about to encounter, and more importantly, who she was related to. Realizing this, he decided to give her some helpful advice should the need arise. He spoke in a quieter voice this time, briefly breaking character and speaking directly to her so she understood clearly.
"If you happen to see one with long hair and a ribbon in her hair be very, very careful. She's dangerous. Very dangerous."
Then, as if nothing had transpired between them, he walked forward as casually as he had previously that day, ushering her forward, for whatever was racing through her mind, he was certain her curiosity would be at the forefront.

OC: It's been so long... this might be a little rusty, so I'm apologizing in advance. Also, a bit of NPC spam.Yukimotou's exit did not leave Ryou alone for too long.
Noises tumbling about like miniature, high-pitched kangaroos were the harbinger of the younger Fujibayashi's client, reaching her even through the layers of her little sanctuary. The background murmuring, of the people who had aided her in this endeavor, had given way to certain sharp utterances, some from familiar voices, but a certain single one was that of a person she had never heard before.
"Ehhh? What's that?"
"Welcome~ to Fujibayashi-sensei's... fortune-telling place!" Eeh, they're calling me like that? So... embarrassing... From behind the veil, the representative, face flushed, rose from her seat, approaching yet still concealed.
"Tamako!"
"Eh, I was waiting for a chance to say that." Still, even with Ryou's classmate's declaration, it seemed that the girl managed to get the wrong idea. "A witch club?!" The class representative, in spite of herself, peeked through the layers occluding her position.
It was a girl... well, that much was obvious from the pitch and the tone of her voice, but it seemed that she was somewhat more earnestly a girl than most... or at least that was what Ryou thought. Brown hair in pigtails, wearing the uniform of a first year, a large smile on her face... she seemed like her sister, perhaps, if she was probably less guarded and didn't throw books at perceived offenders... she chuckled privately at that. And, it goes without saying, unlike her... even now, her being hidden, as compared to she who waltzes about...
"Oi, you're that guy who slacks around..."
"A witch club!" Now, that voice was familiar, but it was different because it was... male. O-okazaki-san!? What was he doing here? Was he... coming with this girl, who thought this booth was a witch club? Not that... not that she could fault her for making that mistake... the decorations were really rather something. At least she should be happy that he was participating in the Founder's Festival, unlike how he usually shunned events pertaining to the school... was it the girl's doing? If that was so, in a sense, she should be grateful to her... although, yet again, she felt like she was losing...
...and Okazaki-san was saying ridiculous things again; some of her classmates were even giggling. He... while he might be having fun with it, it was wrong to mislead people like that... and so, she broke her cover.
"Okazaki, what're you saying to the underclas--"
"O-o-okazaki-san!"
"Please-- please don't tell lies!" Was that last bit even about... Onee-chan?! and Sunohara-san was even mentioned by name?! She had wanted to say more, but even her outburst had surprised her. "Ah..."
