::Sunohara, Youhei::
Type:Canon
Age:17
Gender:Male
Sexuality: Straight
Crushes: Every girl in existence?
Face Claim: Youhei Sunohara
Description:Youhei isn’t really all that tall, he undercuts the male average size but a couple inches in fact. While there isn’t much build to speak of, he does have a rather solid body considering all the punishment it can take. More or less he fits the title of a pretty boy shounen, short blond hair and blue eyes give him a slight elitist look (too bad his personality can’t back it up.) Still his face doesn’t stay dedicated to one expression very long, he can jump from shocked, cocky or pissed at the drop of a hat unlike Tomoya.
Like all boys he wears the school uniform, but being laid back he does it differently. Typically he won’t wear the yellow blazer and even dumps the tie. This shouldn’t be too surprising as its quite random if he’ll even show up for school in the first place.

Personality: Sunohara lives in his own little world… no robot companion and no desert included. He’s quick to jump to conclusions and doesn’t let something as trivial as logic get in his way. It seems he’s out to take on the whole world at times, but typically the world smacks him in the face with a healthy douse of reality. The boy is easily frustrated and tends to jump straight to a fight whether it’s win or lose (most of the time lose.). Still he deeply cares about his sister and refuses to let anything in the world make her cry. Whenever she shows up he seems a little depressed, but she quickly grows on him and he gets jealous of whoever is getting Mei’s attention. Sunohara talks a big game with pristine confidence, but his follow through really makes it clear he overestimates himself a little too much.
As mentioned before Sunohara makes bizarre conclusions and then acts as if they are total fact. These bad habits have gotten him in a lot of trouble including being one of the reasons he got kicked off the soccer team in the first place; more over his refusal to bow down to the hierarchy that the team had for new players also attributed to that outcome. Youhei had a passion for the sport and the schools team was disgracing that image. Aside from that he’s also quite gullible and believes anything he’s told. Still Sunohara is loyal to his friends and because of his own past he refuses to let people give up on their dreams. He may have lost the will to try hard and do well, but still wants his friends to achieve their ambitions.
There is one side that’s less flattering about him though, a couple times in the series Sunohara becomes a total (jerk, jackass, bully) less pleasurable person. Sunohara uses his rank as a senior like a commanders badge and tends to think lower classmen don’t have nearly as much position of power as himself. On top of that he’s not above using people for his own desires. On another negative aspect he also has a perverted side, though admittedly most of the time it’s rather harmless. As strong as he tries to come off, he does show a lot of visible fear when confronted with a problem. Sometimes he’s smart enough to avoid conflict but other times he’ll dive right in blindly. Still it seems Sunohara has an obsession with taking care of things that need to rely on him. Youhei is constantly playing Misae’s cat, usually he just picks on it and it seems to be a way to kill boredom.

History: Dreams, everyone’s got them and they are what motivates us to keep climbing to new heights in life. Even as a boy Youhei found his passion in soccer, living on the countryside he didn’t get a lot of the perks of the inner city kids, but that was ok because without experiencing such aspects, it was impossible to want them. Both of his parents were simple people but their family was a loving one that appreciated the smaller things in life. While his father worked in the outer rims of the city to bring home the bread, Youhei’s mom stayed at home tending to the house with cooking and cleaning like any other stay at home mom. Still his schoolmates all lived pretty far away so while he may not have been alone, he wasn’t associating much with kids around his age.
That all changed when Youhei became a big brother and found a whole new world of responsibilities. Mei was a fragile, precious girl and she needed someone to look up to and that same person could show her what it takes to be a kid. It became the boys personal goal to always protect Mei and take care of her till she was old enough to do it herself. She learned to manipulate him at a pretty early age tricking Sunohara into giving her extra cookies and stay up later then she should. Youhei had a hard time saying no and maybe he never did let her grow up as much as she needed to, but as long as she was happy he tended to be the same way. Still she did love him and even helped her big brother practice soccer in her pre-school and elementary years.
Finally he was starting to make some friends too, it was a bit of a bike ride but Sunohara was able to make it to the outer cit limits and hang out with some boys around his age. Sometimes he didn’t ask permission and got in trouble for it too, but kids will be kids. Up until this point Youhei had been around Mei quite a bit, but with his new friends it was happening less and less. One time he’d even gotten permission to stay over at one of their houses and when he got back the next afternoon he found Mei totally depressed with tear stained eyes. After seeing her smiling for so many years he’d forgotten what her tears looked like. When she finally noticed Youhei again, she latched onto his waist and began crying all over again. There wasn’t anything in this world more depressing then his little sister crying and so he became resolved to make sure it never happened again.
For a while he stopped going to the city to see his classmates. Mei realized why though and resigned in herself to be stronger for her brother’s sake and told him to start going back and that she could take care of herself. Now with a guilt free conscience, Sunohara was able to focus on soccer, his dream once more. This focus didn’t last long though, Youhei got a massive distraction in the form of long hair, soft skin and… other body parts. Falling for girls left and right, he really couldn’t stay committed to one crush. It worked out though cause most girls couldn’t tolerate him for very long. On any given day he’d try to flirt with any girl that caught his eye walking down the hall. Some of them already had boy friends and this lead to some of his earlier beatings, boyfriend’s aside the girls also tended to kick him around or throw something pretty solid. None the less this boy was relentless in his quest for love and continued this unhealthy streak till current time.
During middle school Sunohara had to maintain a decent GPA to remain on the soccer team and Japanese schools being what they were, it meant he had to commit to studying just to keep a average grade. It was at this point he realized how amazing of a person he was going to be when he grew up and started to become rather cocky and arrogant. With this new outlook on life he also began dying his hair blond to represent the Youhei Sunohara that he wanted the world to see. However when people challenged this image that he created he took it as a personal offense and began fights on some pretty flimsy grounds sometimes. He’d come home sometimes beat to a pulp making his family worry, but he just said things like “ you should see the other guy.” and went on like nothing happened.
The time came when it was time to strive out into the world without his families support. Starting high school he was assigned to the boy’s dorm under Mesea. With his own private room Youhei was now focusing more on his studies, which seemed to become even harder in high school. Still for the sake of being a great soccer player, he wasn’t going to back down from the challenge; the person he was to become chewed math and language arts up and ate it for breakfast. With his eyes on the gold (and every pretty girl that walked within 15 feet of him.) the boy was ready to embrace his future. However some things never changed, he still got into quite a few fights and became stronger and more arrogant with each one. Soccer was going great until it became less of a sport and more like an initiation haze every time he showed up for practice. The team wanted him to do some rather ridiculous things, wash their jerseys, be a one man goal blocker, refill their water bottles and even cheer them on from the side lines. Youhei refused claiming they were tainting a pure game and challenged them on the field. They refused and just continued barking orders, feeling powerless Youhei began a large fight that got him kicked off the team completely.
Losing all motivation to study hard, his grades started dropping along with his attendance record. His tolerance for insults was very thin at this point as he didn’t need a reminder of the failure he’d become. Even more fights took place and one landed him in the principles office with a fellow fallen star. Tomoya had been the talk of the school when he first started playing basketball, no one could believe how good this underclassmen was. But after hurting his shoulder, just like Youhei his dreams and ambitions sunk out of existence. Maybe it was this shared link that brought the two of them together? Talking about how much they hated the town and the school they realized that their fates were already decided. Becoming best friends as Tomoya was able to put up with Sunohara’s random bizarre behavior and Youhei could endure the relentless pranks that Tomoya played. They both started being late for classes or skipping them and school completely. With Tomoya hating his own home so much he ends up staying in Sunohara’s dorm quite a bit too.

Well he WAS ready to sit back and listen to them, but it seemed that's not how this was going to play out. Truth be told his listening skills would of been quite limited anyway, why would he listen to Liam when Akashi was convinced he was the superior specimen on the court. If anyone assumed Jadeite didn't know he walked a dangerous line by his words and actions, they were quite wrong. Jadeite only knew one thing and that was to raise his status, those with power wielded control and because of his father, Akashi was thoroughly convinced that power was the only thing that mattered in this world. Did all the kids that got beat by their parents know why? Did they understand that it was their job to over come it and become stronger? They didn't see the blessing behind all of it, to get to learn how life works THAT early. The ones that cry and hide from it all, they were the ones that needed to be killed off, blowing a great chance to start taking the reigns of their existence and advanced beyond any other child under a calm sweet hearted mom and dad. Mom's were the worst, which stood to reason being that they were only females after all. But this was the prime reason threats and physical beatings had no effect on changing who Akashi was, his path was already chosen and there was no other ones to walk. This was where Akashi's feet belonged, the road of destruction.
Walking that road for so long, he began to understand what laid down the path to a T. People themselves weren't hard to predict given their circumstances. There were 2 ways to react to Akashi, 87% of the population took the fear rout and just avoided him letting the Japanese boy stand on his pedestal. The other 13% tried to knock him off of it and tried to make Akashi believe that he wasn't a big deal. They were seen as challengers who wanted his position and often interacting with them lead to fights. There was the occasional odd duck that floated on the surface, someone who didn't care not out of fear, but because they themselves felt unique to the world. All in all Kashi just assumed that people themselves were limited in their understanding of how the world works, it really couldn't be simpler though; the strong survive and the weak perish. There were those that wanted to try and bring balance to all, but reality kept smacking them in the face. Drunks stay drunken idiots, losers stayed losers and the champions always remained champions. It wasn't about achievement; it was about the kind of soul and person that the individual was. What that meant was he could start life all over again and some how some way he'd end up exactly where he is now, confidence and charisma were the real determining forces in this world, stature could only take someone so far.
Jadeite was a combat expert and his ability to sense emotional wave lengths was quite keen. There was no reason to act surprised when Beryl attacked, she did it all the time and the Asian punk knew why. That said he showed no willingly to change who he was, there was a fate to be met by his choices which is why he made no effort to defend. Pain was expected, aggression was expected but nothing could damage his pride... well except being called a girl apparently. Even Zoicites snide retard comment didn't have any effect on his ego, why? In his mind he'd already defeated Zoi physically and mentally so why would he care what a loser thinks? Jade just looked up at Beryl from over the rim of his glasses feeling the energy gather. Yeah she was pretty pissed, this one was going to cause more ouch then normal. “Looks like springs coming early this year." He held that arrogant grin all the way until impact, feeling his body lose all sense of gravity as it launched into the ground. His powers last action was to keep him alive after being hurled against diamond plated flooring at such intense speed. Akashi just laid there taking in the pain but still fully conscience.
You know that feeling when you’re in so much pain you feel like you're going to throw up because your body was just over whelmed by all the nerve activity? It was playing with Boaz level quality right now. For a while he just laid there cursing himself for not being the type to yell out in agony, it made him have to focus on keeping his composure that much more intensely. There was a good 2 minutes between being wrapped and thrown by darkness and Kashi sitting back up... Now he wanted something a lot stronger then a cigarette. Everyone’s aura vanished, the room seemed a lot more real and the kid was able to determine quite swiftly from how slow his healing was that he had no powers at all right now...." Gee god, why have you forsaken me this time?" Tried to smile, but the effort was withdrawn as the action of sitting up had shifted his body quite a bit. Back down he went trying to act casual about it as his hands staggered as they worked their way to the back of his head, jittering the whole way there. Was it that important of him to look like he was unaffected? Was it to show Beryl his strength even while powerless?... or was he just that plain stupid?
It was in this stance that Beryl finally got off her lecture, most of which he was just catching every other word of as his body kept demanding attention mostly on his right side where he impacted with the floor that he now laid upon. "He didn't just insult me, he went after my pride..." Ok so a lot of people GO after his pride, the problem is Jimmy found a effective word to do it. Jadeite couldn't take real pride damage, it was his most powerful emotion so he defended it with all he had... and that's why a psychic pressure wave had been his assault weapon of choice. This wasn't something he expected any of them to understand. They didn't live their lives like he did, constantly seeking the next plateau of power. They wanted Akashi to pull his ego on a leash? Yet it was the very thing that got him to this point. Was he supposed to be like one of those TV show actors that play their role and become famous then drop the series the moment a movie contract was offered leaving all their fans behind? That wasn't Akashi Kurushimeru, he owed a debt to his pride that was too grand to ever pay back in one life time.
"There are no real insults in this world, there's only one condemning concept that no man with dignity could ever endure; if the fairy does it again, Bukkorosu." That word may not be clear yet, but the hand gesture from his throat going a crossed with a slitting motion should have been a clear indication of the words translation. “Don’t demean yourself with a human word Beryl. You're a goddess; mortal words like male and female don't apply to the divine." Good excuse to actually follow a woman at least, other wise he'd never accept Beryl because she was.... a she.
