Out of uniform, Kii can be seen almost always wearing a white beanie on his head which has sentimental value to him. Sticking to a long sleeve sky blue hoodie and black pants with a white and green long sleeve undershirt, there isn't much variation in casual clothes besides this. For footwear, it will either be sneakers or rollerblades. Occasionally wears black fingerless gloves as well.
For school uniform, Kii keeps up the look of a good student while keeping it to his tastes by having the blazer unbuttoned with the shirt tucked in. He leaves the top two buttons undone on the shirt and wears a plain white shirt underneath.
At night, Kii has a different personality he shows and also clothing to suit. With the usual long sleeve shirt and hoodie, Kii adds a black jacket over top of it and black pants to match. Majority of the time, he wears rollerblades in this outfit, but from time to time wears normal shoes. Because of his looks, he has occasionally gotten into trouble with some gangs.
Personality:
Public Persona: This first part of Kii's personality is how he acts in public. This includes when he's at school, around friends and in the company of others who aren't that close to him. Kii will seem like a cheerful person who is self reserved and looks like someone who would watch things unfold instead of doing something about it. He talks to others mostly only when he has something to talk to them about or a reason for talking, but otherwise doesn't approach others carelessly. Kii will talk to people with either a smile or a straight, carefree face depending on the conversation. Put simply, Kii tries to blend into the background instead of coming out and trying to get attention, preferring to remain a shadow.
Close Persona: This second part of Kii's personality is how he acts around friends. This includes those at school, around town and when visiting or being visited by friends, or simply hanging out with them. Kii usually doesn't make many friends, but rather gets befriended by others. Only those friends are the ones that he opens up to, at least a little more than to others. Kii is less self-reserved and more dependent on close friends, as well as asking them if they need help as well. He will approach this group for no particular reason instead of standing back, and likes to meddle in their affairs as if it concerned him. He also has less of the usual smile and straight face, often making different faces such as jealousy, grinning and sad faces, mostly in the humorous way. Others would think he quite enjoys being around his friends, even hanging out at some of their houses in a group. But still, Kii keeps things about himself a mystery.
Delinquent Persona: This third part of Kii's personality is how he acts when not pretending. This includes when he is out and about at night, getting into fights, when alone with those that have seen him like this and when trying to make a point to someone or protecting another. Mostly at night, Kii goes out about the town and rollerblades or simply wanders about, not caring about the time or place. He has a more serious face on, one that shows anger and more often irritation, simply to give him that look of a delinquent. He prefers to roam by himself, but every now and then joins up with some other delinquents who don't know his school or what he's usually like in public. He mostly only teams up to better avoid or withstand street brawls from those that don't like him simply for him being there. Kii is more aggressive when like this and occasionally lets out that oppressive aura or stare at someone who he wants to back down without words. It's quite effective because of how he is normally seen.
Solitary Persona: This fourth and final part of Kii's personality is how he is when alone. This includes being alone at school, at home, eating, playing, rollerblading or simply just by himself. Kii reminisces quite a bit when he is alone. At lunch time during school, he will head to an empty classroom, the rooftop or an empty seat outside if not invited to eat with someone. Kii looks rather distant at these times, looking as if he was going away somewhere while staring up at the sky. At home, he is a hard worker and studies everything he needs to know, even more than what was learned in class, and then does whatever else he wants with his free time. He purposely gets his answers wrong on some questions, simply so he doesn't stand out. When out and rollerblading, that is one of the only times that people would be able to see his true self, his true skills and his true smile. Most of the time, Kii will snap out of his reminiscing if someone approaches him, but on occasion he will stay zoned out.
History:
Kii was born in England. He was a healthy child born completely normal without any problems. He was born to a British Mother (Emily Mills) and a Japanese Father (Kazu (和) Hibiki), both of whom raised him in both languages, teaching him how to read, write and speak Japanese and English, and so giving him a flawless accent in both. He also had an Older Sister (Rianon Hibiki) who was five years older than him. Being named Arthur Mills at birth, Kii grew up with love from his family and the care of his sister who watched over him the most. Due to both of their parents working a lot, the two of them would have to stay home alone and find something to do after finishing school.
Kii grew up in a good environment, rarely having bad moments and always getting the stuff he needed, rarely getting spoiled by his parents and always being taken care of by his sister. Through elementary and middle school, Kii studied hard, pushed on by his sister who was strict about his learning and physical fitness, always pushing him to learn as much as she knew as if it was natural. Well, he did end up catching up to her but never won an argument with her. They would also train together. Kii and his sister were always together and did almost everything together, even having a bath together as they grew up until he found it embarrassing. Kii is about 9 years old at this time.
Kii began getting interested in rollerblading after seeing some people around town using them. After pleading with his parents and getting his sister asking as well, he finally got a pair of two wheel rollerblades. His sister also got a pair and began learning with him. It took a while to do it, but after they could roll around properly, they had a lot of fun. It was the first time Kii had actually asked for something that he wanted to do, instead of asking for simple things like sweets, text books or similar things. Every bit of free time they had, they decided to go out rollerblading, making sure to wear proper protective gear underneath their clothes. Kii is about 11 years old at this time.
As Kii grew up, he began to understand more about things that went on around him. He had knowledge, but not wisdom or experience, and he was starting to get that now. He was beginning to understand about his family. His mother was a dedicated worker who was paid well for her job and was strict on the spending budget, always making sure to save a lot of the money. She also spent the least amount of time with Kii because she found it bothersome to look after a son. Kii's father was more loving and spoiled him more often, but kept it in moderation, and was quite strict as well. For each treat he gave Kii, he would have him do something to make up for it. Such as going for a run around the block for a bag of lollies, or race his sister with the winner getting cake for dessert. He lost, obviously. His sister may have appeared to pay a lot of attention to him, but Kii noticed that at night she would go to bed late and study many things she needed to know. His parents were rarely home during the day and always came home late, leaving them to cook for themselves. Kii was 13 years old at this time.
On his 13th birthday, Kii got a present from his sister which he still treasures now. It was a white beanies which was a bit large for him at the moment, but he later grew into the size of it. He was also starting the next next school that year which was not too difficult thanks to the preparations his sister gave him, though it was more interesting as it had more options and more difficult questions. He also joined the Art Club because he found he had a natural talent at drawing things. His art was not amazing, but it wasn't bad either. Life went on, and Kii kept growing and learning new things. The following year, age 14, Kii met someone who he took as a girlfriend after getting to know her. They took it slowly, and it seemed to be going alright for the months they were together.
Sadly, after some time, Kii saw something he will never forget while he was walking home. Taking a longer route home and scouting out potential rollerblading spots, Kii saw his girlfriend walking into a hotel with a middle aged man. He may not be that experienced or knowledgeable in that area, but he knew straight away what that meant. Heart broken and mind shattered, Kii locked himself away in his room for a week, only coming out for basics such as the toilet, food or provisions. When he finally came out, he was different. Kii was nearly 15 years old at this time.
Now 15 years old, Kii is like a different person. He put up a false face in front of those at school, gave the cold shoulder to his family and never talked to his girlfriend again, having broken up with her without saying anything more. He didn't even want to hear her side of it. At home, he has stopped smiling and talking to his parents, though not for any particular reason. Mostly he stopped talking to them because he couldn't bring himself to be happy again, and being with his family always made him happy before. Around this time, Kii decided he would Rollerblade at night now. He still talked with his sister, but mostly only for training and studying, not smiling around her either.
Going out at night now, Kii rollerblades wherever he feels like it, disregarding others. After a while, he began intruding on areas where there were gangs. You would think that such a high class country would be safe, but every country has a darker side that comes out of the shadows of night. Kii began fighting Delinquents at night, mostly because they approached him, but it helped him relieve stress. Some times he even enjoyed it. There was a group of four people he met often who got into fights like he did and they were around the same age too. Delinquent at night and student during the day, Kii moved up and was a strong fighter by the time he entered his first year of High School. He made sure to keep a good record at school, but never really put any effort into it.
As time passed and Kii turned 16, he decided he had had enough. Spending more time studying his subjects with some extras such as Japanese culture, Japanese traditions, Physics and Physical Education Theory, he finally talked to his family. Over the years since his mind and heart were broken, Kii had drifted further and further from his family. He no longer saw or talked to his mother and father, and he even began avoiding his beloved sister. A week before he began studying Japanese things, his father had talked to him, saying he should visit Japan. Of course, there was no particular reason for it. His family would be disheartened to lose him, but they wouldn't find out about it until he was gone. His father would explain everything once he had left.
Kii, being old enough to live alone, moved to Japan. His father had arranged everything for him secretly, even giving him a monthly income to help sustain him, though not indefinitely and not enough for him without work. Apartment bills, school fees and food were all paid for by his father, but Kii had to buy everything else himself. It was pretty much the same as back at home except now he was in a different country. Apparently his sister had cried when he left without a word, and his father had to hold her back from catching a plane. Things were a bit shaky at first, having to learn the layout of the town, where good rollerblading areas were, places to buy food, places where he could avoid meeting those from his school at night, and even places where he could just wander around. A new town, different from the one he grew up in. After a week of adjusting, he had the transfer to the local school go through.
Before speaking of school, it may be best to explain something. The week Kii spent locked away in his room, he thought all he could and cried until all of his tears dried up, each tear being part of his happiness. Without that happiness, there were no smiles left. He thought on what life was. Why people do what they do. He felt betrayed by his ex-girlfriend, enough to become violent. He had never been so upset in his life. He was tempted to be with his sister the entire time, like how she had looked after him when he was sick for a week with a fever form playing in the snow. He came to a conclusion that he could not trust women anymore. That made him distance himself from his family. He didn't hate women, but couldn't being himself to trust them. He would continually doubt them for no reason.
Entering straight into the second year at Hikarizaka Private High School, Kii threw up his usual camouflage of being a good student and began learning. Of course, he continued studying more difficult things at home and pretended to do average at school, deciding to only go all out on the final exams which will decide where he goes in the future. He still doubts the female students' motives each time they approach him, but does his best to appear nice and cheerful. Being placed in class 2-B, he gets along well with people, but sometimes ignores them because he thinks they only approach him because he was of different nationality. Of course, he used this to his advantage to, such as for jokes. When at the appropriate time, he would suddenly speak in rough Japanese saying he didn't understand them, despite speaking perfectly well a few seconds before. He also liked to confuse them by speaking English, or mixing English words into his Japanese sentences.
Though he tries to hide it, Kii works at a Café dressed up as a butler, so that he can earn money to spend for himself. He was accepted easily because of his looks which, although average, were good enough to attract attention, especially since his English was good. Some of the things he buys for himself is text books, maintenance items for his roller blades, clothes for when he needs them, food when he feels picky and simply to have money he can save up in case he needs it for something. Also, and this is important, Kii has entered Hikarizaka and introduced himself to everyone he has met since arriving in Japan as "Kiyoshi Hibiki". Hibiki being his father's last name and Kiyoshi as his given name from something his Father mentioned, saying it would be a good name. Of course, even his letters that arrive for him from his family are addressed like this now instead of Arthur Mills.
Another small point to make would be that Kii likes to sing. Not even his family knows about it, but since moving to Japan he has had a room to himself which he could sing in. Almost no one ever hears him sing and so when people do, they are left wondering who it was as he is quick at escaping should someone hear him. Just like his art, he found himself naturally good at it but was better at singing than drawing, mainly because it was his voice and he understood it more than the pencil which drew his art. Occasionally at school, in an empty classroom or on the rooftop, someone can be heard singing either in Japanese or English, though no one as of yet has found out who was doing it.
Kii has kept with the habit of going out late at night to either cool down, think, roller blade or just go for a walk. Of course, he dresses up in his black clothes with his usual beanie on so people think it's someone else and it has worked. It should be impossible for people to know it was him unless they actually saw his face up close when he is like this. Since he was little, his rollerblading has gotten a lot better. He could do well in gymnastics thanks to it, and is capable of using Physics and Bio-mechanics to better himself. At night, he practices different tricks including flips, finding different places to do it. He hasn't met many other rollerbladers since arriving in Japan, but it could be that they are in the more urbanized areas. Still, regardless, Kii continues to Rollerblade because it is one of his only passions.
Because of Kii's outings, he has gotten himself into trouble with gangs before. When not wearing rollerblades, he ends up in a bit of trouble because he is usually outnumbered, but deals with it well enough, running if he has to. When he has his rollerblades on, he either speeds off or uses them as a weapon, though preferring the former so he doesn't damage them. Every now and then, he has run into a gang who was lead by a guy name Kazuto, which is how Kii now knows Yukine Miyazawa who tended to him when he got injured in a fight. Of course, it was a bit disappointing and frustrating that someone from his school knew what he was like, be he found her to be an alright person who could keep his secret. Or at least he hoped so. He still couldn't trust females, despite being friends with some.
Moving on to the current day, Kii is now 17 years old and is a regular and average student at Hikarizaka Private High School and not in a club due to his after school part time job. He has a tendency to be self reserved around people and rather fun around his friends. Spending most of his time at his apartment alone and studying, he spends half the night almost every night wandering about rollerblading or doing something he feels like doing. Many people who know him find him rather mysterious despite his attitude, finding that they know little about him because he rarely speaks of himself. In his past, it may be seen as a little detail, but to him who had lived his life honestly and lovingly before 'that' happened, it was a large hit that broke his mentality. Now, he lives his life away from family and with his true self locked away.

Yawning, Kii lay down in the shade of the wall on the rooftop, deciding to get a bit of rest. He already knew what was going to be in the next lesson and had studied it overnight so there was no need to go along. It would probably make him stand out a bit but he didn't skip much so it wouldn't be too bad. Usually he would go to the Reference Room where there was a chair, but he couldn't lay down there. Closing his eyes, Kii began his usual reminiscing on past actions. For this session of backtracking, he thought about the tricks he had pulled off on his rollerblades the night before. That was also the reason he was trying to sleep now, because he had been out at night for a long time. Tricks he could pull off were limited to the objects in the area and the set up of things. The tricks he could do were alright, but there was always room for improvement. In particular, learning more Physics and Bio-Mechanical Principle applications would help to get better. In a flip, a further distance could be covered depending on the center of rotation, adjusting the center of gravity by adjusting body posture. Likewise, projectile motion could be added to further increase the distance, using the appropriate angle once jumping.
Before he knew it, the bell had gone. Waking up and rubbing his eyes, Kii looked around before getting up and heading back to the classroom. He would need to make up an excuse, but it should be rather simple. The next class was... English. Deciding to skip, he headed to the Reference Room so that he could study on other things. Being English originally, he had no need for the compulsory class. Reaching the reference room, he sat down at the table and found a blank book which someone had left behind as well as a pencil. Well, he had time so he decided to draw. He wasn't much of an artist but he had the natural sense to be able to draw things well. Looking around the room as something to draw, he found nothing and so searched his memories. Thinking on it, he decided to draw a person in the middle of a flip using rollerblades. It would pass the time well, and by rushing it, it would look cool and blurred, and also get it done as class ends.
