Madoka had been worried about his first day at Hikarizaka Private High School, although he insisted that he most certainly wasn't nervous and suggest that he was would be absolutely ridiculous. Gabriella, of course, had seen right through his nonsense. She always did. Fortunately, this time she didn't press the issue.
He was worried for a very specific reason, one that he didn't think anyone could relate to — he was worried that people would know who his parents were just by looking at him. He tried to convince himself that it was an unreasonable thought and, since his parents never mentioned him on television, there was no reason to be worried, but it didn't really help at all.
The universe seemed to be on his side today though, as it didn't seem like anyone knew who his parents were. Or at least, they didn't know he was related to them. It was a relief that nobody had made the connection, but he knew that eventually someone would have to make the connection. He had an appearance that was strikingly similar to the actor and actress (mostly the actress, as he shared her platinum blonde her and pinkish-violet eyes), and he had the same family name as them. He tried to be optimistic though, something he had never been good at. Maybe nobody in this town had even heard of his mother and father!
Putting the subject of his parents aside, Madoka's first day at school had been fairly uneventful. It was honestly really boring, but that was to be expected. It was school. Of course it would be boring. That was inevitable, no matter what school you attended. Nobody had approached him or tried to be friends, but that wasn't really a problem for Madoka. He didn't really even want friends. He was fine on his own. In fact, he would much prefer it if he could simply avoid interacting with anyone for the entire school year.
Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be possible at the moment. Why? Well, he was standing in the cafeteria with his bento box in hand, and there weren't any empty tables. He knew that something like this would happen. The world had been way too nice to him today, so of course it had to torture him a little bit. He should have gotten to the cafeteria earlier, or eaten in the courtyard, but he was already here now and he had to sit down.
He scanned the crowd, not looking for anyone in particular. He didn't care who he sat with, regardless of their year or gender, as long as they were alone. He didn't really want to sit in a group of people, although it would probably be easier to go unnoticed if people were preoccupied with talking to each other.
Madoka's eyes landed on a student sitting alone, near the back of the cafeteria. He didn't recognize them whatsoever, which meant they weren't in his class. They probably weren't even in his year - perhaps they were an upperclassmen, as they looked a lot taller (but most underclassmen were taller than he was too, sooo....). Well, whatever. It didn't matter who they were. The only thing that mattered was that they were sitting alone.
He made his way over to the table, stopping just in front of the person. "Hey, is it cool if I sit here?" he asked. As much as he was a complete jerk most of the time, he still didn't want to be rude to a person he had just met. If they were rude to him, he would be rude back. But until they actually did something to make him angry or upset, he would be chill.
