||| HAYASHI MADOKA |||
Gasper Vladi ; High School DxD
#Name ; Hayashi Madoka
#Age ; 15
#Gender ; Male
b]#D.O.B. ;
#Occupation ; Full-Time Student
#Year and class ; 1-B
#Height ; 5'0"
#Weight ; 92 lbs
#Physique ; Thin, petite
#Hair color and style ; Platinum blonde, bob cut
#Eye color ; Pinkish-violet
#Clothing styles ; Madoka wears basically the same thing every day — a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. When the weather starts to get colder, he wears a black hoodie that looks way too big on him. His t-shirts are always baggy and over-sized, as due to his small frame he has difficulty finding male clothes in his size. He tries to wear clothes that make him look as masculine as possibly, but it rarely works. It makes him look more like one of those girls who are always wearing their boyfriend's clothes.
#A more thorough description ; Madoka is very small for a sixteen-year-old, especially a sixteen-year-old boy. He often wishes he were taller or more intimidating. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to possible. He hasn't grown in the past two years, and he doubts he is going to be getting taller anytime soon.
Madoka has very pale skin. It almost looks unreal, as if his skin belongs to a porcelain doll rather than a human being. He doesn't tan easily, usually getting sunburned if exposed to sun for too long. His skin is soft, giving him a more delicate appearance. He honestly looks like he'd completely shatter if someone so much as tapped him on the shoulder. His hair is platinum blonde, although it does appear white-ish in certain lighting. He has it cut into a bob style, with a wispy fringe that reaches about his eyebrows. The first thing that people tend to notice about Madoka are his eyes — they are pinkish-violet, and rather large, dominating his face
#Personality ;
You wouldn't think that someone so cute and innocent-looking would be labeled as a social outcast, and yet here we are — he really isn't a bad person, but people have a difficult time believing that based on their first impression of him. Due to bullying he has received in the past, Madoka is a bitter and defensive. He struggles with trusting others, and puts on a persona of being cruel to avoid people getting close to him. He also has quite the temper, and often gets punished for his swearing and insults fueled by anger when he defends himself or those he cares about.
Generally, Madoka does not care about school. He manages to have okay grades, but he really would do much better if he actually tried in the classes. However, he did try hard in his entrance exams. As much as he doesn't care about grades at the moment, he still wants to go to a decent school. Besides, private school sounds much better than public school. His worst subject is math — numbers just don't click for him like they do with other people. To him, it just looks like a bunch of gibberish. Although he tries to hide it, he is very embarrassed about his incompetence when it comes to math, and will lash out when people bring it up. He could probably do better in math if someone took the time to explain it to him and help him, but nobody bothers. Besides, Madoka would most likely refuse. He thinks it's embarrassing to need help with something that most people understand.
He loves art, and there is no denying he has a talent for it. His teachers have been praising his art since elementary school, treating it as if it belonged in a museum. People complimenting his artwork usually causes him to become very flustered, although he tries to hide it and act aloof about it. Despite how much people praise it, he doesn't seem to have much confidence in his artistic skill, and has tendency to only see the flaws in his artwork. It can seem like he's being attention-seeking and fishing for compliments when he insults his artwork, but he honestly hates it.
Although Madoka has a distaste for most school subjects, he does have one that he genuinely likes and does great in — physical education. Well...it's technically not a subject, but it is still part of school and he does get graded on it. Anyway, he is surprisingly athletic. He uses exercise as an outlet for his anger, and he likes most sports. Unfortunately, he also hates having to work with others and P.E often requires that. He'll usually outright refuse to work with others, which makes his grade a lot worse than it could be. He isn't failing, but he could be doing better.
If someone managed to befriend Madoka, it would bring out a much softer side to the boy. He has a very self-deprecating and dry sense of humor, often putting himself down for the purpose of making jokes. It's one of the reasons his confidence is basically non-existent and he's so insecure about him, but the jokes are funny so he won't stop. However, he is quick to tell off his friends if they talk badly about themselves. Needless to say, he can be a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to things like that.. He is attentive and caring to the people he loves, and supports them unconditionally.
Madoka has very little tolerance for putting up with other peoples' nonsense, and is quick to call them out on it. He's even willing to call out his own friends, something that a lot of people don't have the courage to do. He is brutally honest about most things, although he isn't above lying sometimes to protect people or keep them happy. He tends to lie about his own feelings all of the time. He doesn't like people knowing when he's feeling sad or upset or lonely, and bottles these feelings up until they are too much to bear. When they finally come bursting out, they usually translate as anger and he ends up lashing out.
#History ;
Born in Tokyo, Madoka is the son of two fairly-well known actors. They weren't nearly as famous when he was a baby, but they did have quite a lot of money and they were in same movies and game shoes. He is the youngest of four children, having two older brothers and one older sister.
In elementary school, Madoka was rather popular and well-liked. After all, who doesn't want to be friends with the kid of two movie stars? He really enjoyed having so much friends, too. He always had someone to hang out with at recess, and there were constantly people begging to come over to his house. He would constantly talk about his friends to whoever in his family was willing to listen to him for more than two minutes. He thought they were the coolest.
But when he was around ten-years-old and old enough to gain a little perspective, it became obvious that none of his friends actually cared about him. They liked him for his cool house, his status, and his parents' money. Nothing more. He really wanted to believe that he was just being stupid, that of course his friends cared about him. Why wouldn't they? He had to know for sure, though, so he decided to test out his theory.
He started saying no when people asked him for money, or when they asked if they could come over and meet his parents. It was unbelievable how quickly all of the people he had considered his close friends drifted away. By the time summer came around, he had none at all. Some of them even started bullying him.
At home, Madoka did have one friend - their nanny, Gabriella. She was originally from America, but had lived in Japan for about a year and was fluent in the language. She had really only been hired to watch Madoka, as he was a bit of an "unruly child", as some would put it. He confided with her about everything that happened at school. She was the only one who seemed to actually care. The only one who didn't brush him off or tell him to stop being a baby and get over it.
In middle school, Madoka got bullied. A lot, in fact. Since he obviously wasn't going to do things for people anymore, they no longer felt the need to suck up to him. His friends from elementary school were now treating him like utter garbage. They did everything in their power to make his life a living Hell. It wouldn't be so bad if they only harassed him when they crossed paths, because then he could at least avoid them. No, they actively sought him out to bully him. It wouldn't have been so bad if these were just some random kids who got their kicks out being jerks. These were people who he had considered himself close to for a very long time, and they had turned on him like that. It hurt a lot.
Madoka tried to put on a tough facade, act as though it didn't bother him at all. He didn't see any reason to bother people with it. After all, what good was it going to do? He could tell Gabriella, but she would probably make a big deal out of it and go finding the bullies herself. That would just make more problems - not because they would get angry for him snitching and treat him worse than they already did, but because Gabriella was very protective and would probably get in a lot of trouble for beating the snot out of a bunch of prepubescent boys.
But everybody has their breaking point. Personally, Madoka's had come near the end of his third year at middle school. He had no idea why, but everything had just became too much. It was probably because he had been bottling everything up for the past three years. It was bound to come out eventually, as much as he liked to believe that he could've handled it himself.
He had spent an hour sobbing into Gabriella's lap, rambling about how he hated it here and if he had to stay here any longer he didn't want to f-cking be alive anymore (he used different wording, but I felt it was a little too morbid to say). He wasn't sure how seriously Gabriella took him, but it was the one time she didn't scold him for his language.
The next few days were completely normal. Well... except for the fact that Madoka locked himself up in his room and refused to come out for anybody or anything. Even his siblings, who often disregarded him as nothing more than a bratty nuisance, were worried about him. They did everything to make him leave his room, but nothing was working. But finally, he did leave his room, because his mother said she had something important to talk with him about. She never really talked to him about anything, so he assumed it was probably a big deal.
She said that Gabriella had talked to her and mentioned that he could use a break from here, although she (thankfully) hadn't really mentioned anything else. Gabriella had also apparently offered to go with him as a guardian if they decided to send him away, which in his mother's eyes, seemed like the best option. A part of Madoka was angry at his mother - of course her solution was to send him away. She couldn't deal with it like a normal parent, now could she? But he also enthusiastically agreed, because he wanted to be out of this Hellhole as soon as possible. He didn't care where they were going, as long as it wasn't there.
His mother ended up sending him and Gabriella to a small town called Hikarizaka, where she had grown up. He found it way better than Tokyo - it was so much more calm and quiet, and best of all, nobody knew who his parents were. At least, they didn't know he was related to them. He is going to be starting his first year at Hikarizaka Private High School, and he prays that it isn't as bad as middle school was.

Sam knew he was different. He had always known, but it hadn't been so obvious until the few years before he had started Hogwarts. In a way, he almost felt sorry for his mother—almost. She had wanted a little girl to dress up and play dolls with, and instead of that, she had gotten completely the opposite. If he had actually been born a boy, it would have made things far easier on her, but she, like the rest of everyone else, thought he was a girl. Hell, even he had thought he was a girl at first, but it was just so hard.
Now he was a fifth year at Hogwarts and nobody outside of his house knew. This was the year he was going to tell people, the year people would know - Sam Daniels was a man. He ran onto the Hogwarts Express, taking quick, sharp breaths as he finally managed to step onto it. He had nearly been late, due to the fact that his mum hadn't woken him. He sighed and shook his head, running his fingers through his short hair, before trying to find a compartment.
There was a compartment near the back, but there was one problem with it - there were already three students sitting there. Willow Taylor, Harry Potter, and Ron Weasley. He know that Ron and Harry didn't particularly like him, because he was a Slytherin, and Willow might have been scared of him like the other students. Oh well, he supposed that these were good people to start with in telling them he wasn't a female. "Can I sit down?" He asked.
