Hello, one and all!
I have two short things to explain in this announcement.
First, we have decided to use a new protocol when checking for inactive members. Every two months, around the beginning of the month, we will review all users who are currently active. Any characters who have had no roleplay posts in that two month period will be marked as inactive. What does this do? Well, how we choose to go about it is as follows:
- Accounts with less than 10 roleplay posts will be deleted.
- Accounts with less than 20 roleplay posts will be placed in a usergroup called Inactive Members.
- Accounts with more than 20 roleplay posts and that have existed for over a year will be placed in a usergroup called Inactive Veterans.
To have your character set as active again, simply message a staff member. If you are recreating an account that was deleted, please reuse your old account name! It'll make things easier for us.
This change is being made to reduce our high number of inactive members. In truth, we already periodically check member activity, but this new system will allow us to keep better track of everyone's accounts while also giving all of you a schedule. Additionally, the two inactive usergroups will show up in old threads, telling anyone who is reading our old threads exactly which characters are still active.
I have already conducted the first activity check, which you can see the results of here. Because this was unannounced, I only set as inactive and/or deleted the characters that I haven't seen for a long time. For the future, however, all members will be considered. The next check will be in December, so there's plenty of time to get started!
Finally, allow me to address the re-posting of several threads from the Rules and Information board. Up until now, the account known as "Administrator" was the same one as our founder Whammy's original character, Kichiro Haru. It was a bit weird for me having his character share an account with the admin account, so I have made a new one and have reposted all important admin stuff using it. Sorry to clog up the recent posts/threads lists with all of that. I suggest checking the threads you are roleplaying in to make sure you didn't miss any new posts.
