::Furukawa Akio::
Type: Canon
Age: 40s
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Crushes: Sanae Furukawa
Face Claim: If you can't tell, it's Akio with Hinamizawa Syndrome.
Description:
Akio's hair literally defies gravity, the antennae, a trait he seems to share with his wife passes down to their daughter, Nagisa. His hair, a light brown, it stands out in the sun where it turns to an ash brown with a reddish tint. His hair style kinda wild, and slightly unkempt with long bangs covering his forehead. The antennae, double that of an ahoge, they head in an arcing rainbow as they come back down in front of his forehead like his bangs. Akio's build is average, standing slightly taller than Tomoya, his natural height of around 5'9" make him taller than most. He is pretty athlethic, playing baseball with the kids has made him an expert pitcher in baseball. His eyes, golden with a shade of black inlays, it would seem Akio is a Jedi who may have turned to the dark side of the force.
Akio often wears a polo shirt with various colors with his signature apron, a dark green with lighter green stripes, alongside a logo with a frog's head inside an oval white bubble. In, the fall, he can be seen wearing a tan long sleeved polo shirt with his apron, with jeans that seem to fit all his outfits. Wearing warmer clothing in winter, he can be seen wearing a sweater under his polo shirt, alongside a festive dark red sweater with pink stripes.
Personality:
Akio, not the most tactful his hot bloodedness usually overcomes his attempt at making a friendly introduction. Saying what's on his mind at usually bad times, Akio has a tendency to make jokes about Sanae's bread; often making him suffer the clutches of Sanae's terrible bread while chasing after her.
Akio can be childish some times, he jumps to conclusions and mistakes what's being said for something else most of the time. His childish side makes him get along with the kids, playing baseball in his spare time, playing videogames and indulging in Gundam fandom,
he is essentially a kid in adult form. You could even say he's a grown man with a child's mind.
Despite his childish and hotblooded nature, Akio is capable of being serious. Externally, it is a difficult trait to attribute to him; however, when it comes down to it, he is able to be sincere. At times when he is actually serious, Akio can actually give good advice, even to a point of shouting across an entire theatre. Akio hopes that in giving up his dream as an actor, his daughter Nagisa will be able to fulfill all of her dreams.
History:

Akio Furukawa, a former aspiring actor, runs a local bakery alongside his wife Sanae. He and his wife have been running Furukawa Bakery for quite sometime, being the main source for baked goods, they are always ready to sell bread at moment's notice. Akio has an enthusiasm like no other, his passion for acting has now become a passion for making a happy life with his family.
Akio's lifelong dream was to be an actor. Inspired by television shows, he was supported by his parents to continue this dream and was chosen to perform in his elementary school as the lead. This dream continued through high school where he joined the Drama Club, eventually becoming the club president in his Junior Year. During a production in a Julius Caesar play, he was awarded a scholarship for College. Akio took up Drama as a major in preparation for his work in a theatrical company.
At the same as he grew his love of theatre, Akio also met the love of his life; Sanae. Akio met Sanae during his high school entrance exams. At first sight he knew that she would be the love of his life. Their relationship blossomed through out high school, leading to Akio eventually proposing to her in his Senior year. Overjoyed with his marriage, they spent a year and a half together.
Akio was overjoyed when Sanae was expecting a beautiful daughter. Akio was slightly disappointed at first, wanting a son instead of a daughter. Two months before Akio and Sanae graduated, their lovely daughter Nagisa was born. After college, Akio joined a theatrical company following his dream; while Sanae followed her dream of teaching. Not all things worked as planned, their jobs were taking away time from caring for Nagisa. Akio had to work overtime, tirelessly day and night while Sanae had to care of Nagisa. Finding a solution for their problems, Sanae was able to go back to her dream with the help of baby-sitters and day care services.
Four years later, Akio and Sanae were still following their dreams. They tried their best to split their attention between their acting careers and their ailing daughter. However, there came times where they had to choose between the two. One unfortunate night they decided to leave Nagisa sick in bed while they attended a quick rehearsal, believing nothing could go wrong in the short amount of time they would be gone. When they returned, however, they found Nagisa unconscious in the snow outside the house.
Akio and Sanae rushed Nagisa inside. The main roads were too busy for them to get to a hospital in time. Sanae called for a doctor and they did their best to help Nagisa while they waited for the doctor to arrive. After the doctor arrived, he tried as best he could to save Nagisa. In the end, his efforts were all for nothing, he couldn't treat Nagisa with his skills. Akio and Sanae had cried all night, their unintended negligence had been their downfall. By morning, it looked as if there was no hope; Akio had started running aimlessly with Nagisa in his arms. He finally stopped and came upon a clearing; Akio pleaded for Nagisa's life, promising to give up his dreams in exchange for his daughter's life.
A miracle, the sun shedded light onto Nagisa as she woke up. Akio couldn't believe himself, he thought he was dreaming at first. But it was reality, tears overwhelmed him as he thanked everything in the world. Akio and Sanae promised to never leave her side again. They quit their jobs, their dreams were crushed but Nagisa was saved in promise that they'll never leave her side again.
Finding a way to work and care for Nagisa simultaneously, Sanae suggested a bakery in where she could express her bread-baking skills. It would give them a place to work as well as taking care of Nagisa at the same time. Unfortunately, Sanae's bread was less than edible most of the time, leaving it to Akio to learn how to make his own bread. Akio and Sanae may have given their dreams up for their daughter, but their own care for Nagisa brings a smile to their face.

"Hmm? I could barely even recognize them, at least we'll know what parts to replace." Raziel said as he laid down the parts on his workbench. Karl fingered the pieces. "So...which should we fix first? I mean, this one.." he pointed at the S&W "But this one...wow...how do you cause a DE to backfire?" "Let's fix the DE first, I'm not even sure how it backfired, it must be an old model." As he sat down in his chair while popping the drawers out of his work bench getting his tools ready.
Karl shrugged as he sat down and looked at the gun, or what was left of it. Taking the slide into hand he picked up a hammer to attempt to fix the shape.
Working together the two managed to repair the slide and reassemble the gun in a mere 15 minutes. It would work as if it were never broken.
"Well, that was quick." He marveled at the finished creation."What about this handle? Can't we just rig up a rubber grip or something?" he looked at the grip trying to find out what to do with it.
"Well, he did say he wanted to get it done quick.." Raziel examined the smashed grip, before setting it down again. "Let's go with the rubber grip then."
"How are we supposed to make it over that...what the hell did he use this for?" Karl questioned scruffing his chin.
"Pistol whip?" "I don't even know, we should just make a new handle from scratch." Raziel commented with a shrug. "We have gun smithing tools, I don't see a damn wielder around here anywhere either." Karl announced "You just haven't looked hard enough." Raziel opening a drawer, a welding mask adorned with flames along with a welding torch and various accessories. "I don't have another set, but you could work on your skills." Raziel handed the welding equipment to Karl.
Karl shrugged taking the torch into his hands "I don't understand how we're going to 'blacksmith' a handle with a torch but...alright." He put on the mask and started to super heat the handle of the gun, of course making sure it wasn't loaded first, before he would attempt to reshape it with a hammer.
Lifting the mask he loocked at the improper but usable handle. If fixed with a rubber handle it would work well enough, after it were cooled. "It doesn't look bad, it doesn't look good either. It could use some touch ups though, hand me over the torch." Karl shrugged in apathy as he passed the torch. (2:15 minutes remaining until deadline.)
Raziel put on the mask, he started to even out the mistakes Karl had made.
Karl shook his head as he watched his 'teacher' continue to work without need, but after an hour of work it seemed to finally be done.
"It's not perfect.. but it'll do." Raziel taking off his welding mask and setting it down on the bench, "Put a rubber grip on this, it'll work." Simply shoving the rubber grip on the handle easily enough. The back room now full of the smoke he'd been exhaling.
"I swear, I'm going to get lung cancer one of these days." as he took both the guns and walked back over to the counter.
The grimy man was still looking out the front window.
"Hey, we've got your weapons finished." He gestured to the weapons as he laid them on the counter.
The man approached the counter to collect his things, without a word, he turned his back and started to head toward the door.
"Hey wait, you're supposed to pay for that!" Raziel shouted as he vaulted over the counter.
The man stopped and looked over his shoulder "You won't need it soon enough. Believe it." The man took out a wad of money and tossed it, though it burst into a field of confedy as the bills waved their way to the ground and the man exited the store with haste.
"Karl, help me pick this money up." Raziel started to pick up the money, though albeit slowly since it was scattered everywhere.
Karl watched as Raziel picked up the money "So, this must be a part of working with your hands, picking up money off of the floor."
"Yeah, you wish." Raziel keeping count of the money he picked up before laying it on the counter. "I wonder why he was in such a hurry.." Karl pondered as he exhaled a cloud of smoke. Raziel counts three-hundred dollars, in mainly tens, and twenties.
"Three hundred dollars..." Raziel straigthened the money as he opened the cash register. "That's more than we ever charge."
"You don't think its strange at all then?" he folded his arms, staring Raziel down.
"As long as we're banking in money, I don't care whether he was in a rush or not." The register made a ka-ching sound as Raziel closed it. "So, say he uses it to well, kill someone, you saw what those weapons looked like."
"Well, who says it'll be by us? We used gloves, no way of tracking our fingerprints." Raziel said as he sat back down in his chair.
"That's not what i meant..." Karl shook his head once more before putting his cigarette out on the counter.
"It's best just to not worry about it, the more you think about it the more you'll be blabbering about how we helped someone commit homicide."
"Yeah, I suppose as long as you have the money nothing matters." Karl tutted and went to sit at his 'work station".
