::Ishibashi Hiroko::
Type: Original
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Crushes: None for now
Face Claim: Serizawa Mii from the manga "NG Life".
Description:
Hiroko is generally categorized as petite. Despite being very healthy and athletic, she is noticeable shorter than most females her age; standing at only 4'10", and weighing a measly 82 pounds. She is pretty much all around thin and somewhat frail looking, her arms and legs resembling twigs that seem as if they'd snip under any kind of pressure. She could almost be a straight, narrow, ruler in body shape; were it not for her D cup bust. Though that particular trait isn't very noticeable thanks to the bindings that she uses to make her chest appear more... Flat. So on an average day she'll look more like a B cup.
Her hair is strawberry blonde in color, and reaches to her shoulders in length. She has unevenly cut bangs, the shortest parts resting right at the top if her eyes, while the longer parts reach to the end of her ears. At the start of the day her hair is usually soft and silky, but as the day wears on it becomes an unruly mess; which is one of the many reasons she keeps it relatively short. Her eyes are average in size for a girl, with long lashes that are a shade darker than her hair. Her irises are a vibrant green that tends to stand out, especially against the red tones in her hair.
Hiroko's choice of casual clothing is limited to boy clothes, usually her wardrobe consists of a simple loose fitting T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and tennis shoes. She will threw on a jacket, or hoodie, when the weather starts to cool down. When forced to wear skirts or dresses or any kind she will always put on a pair of shorts underneath, this is mostly seen where her school uniform is concerned. She also seems to have a fondness for hats -ranging from apple caps, to straw hats, to beanies- and is frequently seen wearing one when outside of school.
Personality:
Hiroko is a very upbeat kind of girl. She always seems to be full of energy and laughter, rarely ever seen without some kind of smile on her face. Unless, of course, she's making an exaggerated expression for dramatic effect; which she does quite often. Sometimes it can be difficult for people to tell when she's serious and when she's joking around. She's also a huge tomboy, she will always introduce herself with the name Hiro in place of Hiroko and hates it when anyone calls her by the latter mentioned. Her favored activities mostly involve video games, sports, or just playing around. Naturally, her favorite animals are things like frogs, snakes, or even spiders. She can't stand most things that are "girly", like the color pink, or mushy romance stories.
Most of the time she can be very childish, but she does have her mature moments. They just aren't all that common. As she dislikes sad or either wise overly serious situations, she is good at looking at the bright side and staying optimistic. It's hard to make her upset as she will usually merely brush off and ignore any negative comments. Though, she is easily riled up when it comes to her gender and build. Sometimes what may be a compliment to other girls is seen as a insult to Hiro. For example; being called "cute" is a blow to her pride, and she'll think that whoever called who such a thing is obviously looking for a fight. Then again she loves fighting and will see opportunities to get into a brawl whenever possible.
She's a little bit obsessed with being strong. Never showing weakness in front of others, this means crying is a definite no-no. In fact, she'd probably eat a bucket full of worms before she'd willingly cry in front of someone, even if that someone is a close friend. It's rare for her to be sad in the first place though, as she tends to channel all her feelings of sorrow into anger; which leads to the destruction of many inanimate objects.
Where matters of love are concerned Hiroko can be almost impossibly dense. Someone can outright try to flirt with her, and she probably won't understand what in the world is going on. In truth, she has little confidence in herself as a girl, and thus has a difficult time believing that anyone could like her in that particular way. And though she loves showing off, she is exceptionally weak to straight forward compliments; they will completely throw her out of whack and usually turn her into a blushing, blabbering, mess.
History:
February 13th, in Okinawa, Hiroko was born to a Sei Kyoko. Her father unknown. For the first few years of her life Hiro lived with her mother. They were never very close, as Kyoko took care of Hiroko's physical needs but was always emotionally distant. She didn't play with Hiro, or tell her stories, in fact she rarely ever talked to her at all. It seemed like the only reason she took care of Hiroko at all was because she felt obligated to. Hiroko often caused trouble as a child, in the pursuit of gaining her mother's attention. It didn't matter to her whether that attention was good or bad, so long as it came from her mother. Unfortunately, it had the opposite effect. Her mother spent as much time away from Hiro as possible, spending most her time working. Not knowing what else to do, Hiroko started acting even worse. Her mother was frequently called by Hiroko's elementary school regrading her daughter's refusal to participate in anything, and habit of stealing school supplies.
It seemed that Hiroko's plan worked, as her mother did start paying more attention to her. Though it was only to scold her, it was better than nothing. So, she kept it up. Which turned out to be a bad idea. Her mother became stressed and grumpy, until she couldn't take it anymore. Hiroko was brought to this city by her mother in the summer, when she was 10 years old, and taken to her uncle's house. After a long talk with him, Kyoko was able to convince her brother to adopt her daughter.
Hiroko threw a fit, kicking and screaming, as she watched her mother drive away without her. For a few days she did nothing but sulk, ignoring her uncle and two older cousins. But, slowly, with her uncle's persistence; she was able to mostly get over her mother leaving her. It helped tremendously that her uncle gave her all the attention she wanted, and it was far more positive than her anything she had received from her mother.
Things were a bit awkward between her and her cousins in the beginning, and Hiroko felt a little out of place being only girl in their household (seeing as how her uncle was divorced). But as she unconsciously became more and more boyish in order to fit in, Hiroko was able blend in with the rest of her adoptive family. She rough housed around with her cousins/brothers, and basically did anything they did.
As fall settled into place and school started up, her uncle realized that he had completely forgotten to enroll her. He was able to fix this soon enough, but as the school she had transferred into had no uniforms available in her size, she got to wear her oldest brother's uniform from when he had attended; though she was only given permission to use it while they were busy ordering her's. For those few days almost everyone saw her as a boy rather than a girl, and Hiroko made no move to ever correct anyone who mistook her gender. All too soon though, after only three days had passed, her dreaded female uniform arrived.
The first day she wore her uniform, with the horrible skirt, she was beyond embarrassed as her brothers both burst out laughing the moment they saw her. Mockingly cooing about how cute and delicate she looked. It didn't help that some of the boys at school had pretty much the same reaction. Though they stopped laughing after she beat one of them up. Her uncle hadn't been very happy about that.
Things got far worse for Hiroko as she entered high school and hit puberty. Soon no one confused her for a boy anymore, even outside of school when she wore her brother's hand-me-downs. All the boys she knew, including her brothers, started being more gentle with her; no longer willing to rough house around with her as they were afraid that they'd end up hurting her. Hiroko seems to be the only one left who still sees herself as one of the guys and doesn't understand why everyone is treating her so differently.

The hysterical laughter of her older cousins still rang loudly in her head as Hiro made her way to school. Her hands clenched and unclenched as she walked with heavy steps, putting all her weight into each foot as it made contact with the ground. She stopped for a moment, narrowing her eyes and frowning deeply as she glanced down at the skirt she was wearing against her will. She fingered the bottom of it, then swished it from side to side.
"Argh!" She grumbled loudly, both her hands flying up and wildly scratching her head; turning her hair into an absolute mess. As far as she could tell, there was no reason for the girls to have to wear a skirt. Especially one so short. And most of the girls wore it without shorts underneath! How they could that without feeling embarrassed was beyond Hiroko. As was the reason teachers enforced this dress code. Maybe they were all secretly perverts or something.
Taking a deep breath, she gritted her teeth and continued on her way. Knowing that she'd get into a heap of trouble if she arrived late. Her uncle was already kind of mad at her for lying to her teachers about being a boy, the last thing she needed was to add fuel to the fire. The moment she passed through the school gate, Hiro could feel the stares. Though it was likely that most of them were only nonchalant glances, in her mind it was as though the entire student body was staring and holding back laughter.
She glared as she heard a few chuckles, turning her head sharply from side to side as she worked on locating the friend who had dared to laugh at her. She was distracted from her quest when she noticed one of her acquaintances coming up to her, an expression of shock on his face.
"You... You're wearing a skirt." He said, pointing a finger at the mentioned article of clothing. Hiroko narrowed her eyes further, her posture slumping.
"Yeah, don't remind me." She muttered out grumpily. There was no reply, and her eyebrow twitched as the boy just silently stood there staring with his trap hanging wide open. "What's wrong?" She finally asked, a fake smile on her face despite the vein popping out on her forehead.
"It's just..." The boy trailed off for a moment. "You actually look like a girl." He finished.
Immediately, Hiroko went up and grabbed him by the collar. "Oh?" She questioned, the smile on her face suddenly looking very menacing. "Is that so?" She lowered her head, covering her face with her bangs as she started chuckling. The boy gulped, holding his hands up defensively as he opened his mouth to say something.
"You want to fight!" Hiroko stated before he could get a word in. Lifting her head up, she let go of his collar and fell back into a fighting position. "Bring it on then! I can take you!" She shouted with a grin, giving a few jabs in the air and hopping from side to side she readied herself for battle. If this boy thought he could get away with calling her a girl, he had another thing coming. Namely her fist.
