The Drama Club Room Without the President

If you want to join this thread, and you're not Okazaki Tomoya, PM me. Fuuu~.
Nagisa, for plot purposes, is barred from this thread. Sorry, Ayumu. He decided he would go and ask her about it. He didn’t know how to join a club.
He had deliberated about it long and hard, carefully and slowly, and even now, while he ascended the rickety staircases of the old building, he was still questioning his decision... his would-be decision, anyway.
It had been already quite long... long since Furukawa-senpai asked him if he could join the drama club. He had... given a neutral reaction to it; he had said neither yes nor no. Technically.
First of all, he was naturally averse to the idea of joining a club. It was dismissal, yet again; the sounds of the people in the grounds, gradually receding until only the sports players were left, were testament. He usually went home right after class, and was content doing it that way. Still, it was not like he could not manage an extracurricular activity or two...
Second, he didn’t really have an interest in drama. Well, the most that he could call an interest was with writing, since writing sometimes gets into scriptwriting, and so he might be okay with drama... writing stories while considering characters’ viewpoints might be similar to acting while considering characters’ viewpoints. Only he didn’t even know if he could act, least of all in front of a stage. He had discussed this with Furukawa-senpai sometime ago...
He managed to reach the end of the steps, and came out onto the corridor, which was empty except for a few passing students; after all, some of the other clubs did residence here, too. That being said, it didn’t take too long for the old building’s hallway to become barren. The long, stretching expanse made Ayumu reconsider a bit.
After all, if he joined, he would only be joining because of... if he was to be sincere with himself... Furukawa-senpai, mostly. It somewhat felt so shallow.
He started walking towards the drama club room. If he was right, it was somewhere... here...
Well, he could give it a try, and then abandon ship when it didn’t really feel right. Koji-senpai said that he would be joining too, after Furukawa-senpai’s advertisement... so at the very least, he knew two people in the club, and he had one who he wasn’t extremely attracted and awkward to. Maybe he liked drama, he just didn’t know it yet. He grinned at the thought.
He was at the door. The room was not emanating any sounds from within.
He knocked, tentatively. He wouldn’t be prepared for the person who would answer him...

Furukawa should have been here by now, even he knew that. He couldn't think of much that would be holding her up - a secret lover? Hospitalization from Sanae's bread? Cleaning duty? The most likely option made him wonder how much easier life would be for her if she had more confidence. Her charisma could have her attracting members, her fortitude could have her enticing people to join for the sake of drama, and most importantly, her independence could prevent others from walking over her, as they did the last time she had been stuck with cleaning duty. He knew he had no right to judge though, he had his own slew of problems that would likely go unsolved for a while to come.
He pondered for a moment why he was here. So far he knew that he was helping a girl he had only met recently to form a club he had no interest in joining. What was he doing, what was his purpose? Was he just having fun? Was this all just a distraction? Or was it something more? He didn't have an answer for that. It was too soon. He sighed as time seemed to snail past him - he was thinking too much, dwelling on things that didn't matter. If he were to go any farther he would likely touch up on subjects he would rather forget about. Especially one in particular.
He raised himself from the desk when he suddenly heard a knock on the door. That was strange, when had he closed the door? He moved towards it, finding it strange why Furukawa would ever bother to knock when she was the president of the club...well technically the club hadn't been formed yet, but this was the room used by the former drama club. He slid the door open.
"Yo-"
He stopped when he realized it wasn't the bubbly headed girl, but instead a bewildered looking boy. He briefly looked him over before realizing he had never seen him before in his life. He didn't really give himself time to think about the random, awkward encounter, he simply spoke without thinking - that usually worked out for him didn't it?
"Who are you?"

The younger boy wasn't really very familiar about how the drama club, or whatever you would call it since it was still in its nascent stages, conducted itself. To be truthful, he had been a little lost and inadvertently explored a different side of the old building before he managed to come here; not that he minded. So it was that he didn't know it was strange that the door was closed. If he had known, his movements would have been a little more calculated. After all, if Furukawa-senpai wasn't there, there would only be two people most probable to be there, still. Two people he still wasn't sure of, whether of appearance, or of heart.
"Um..."
He did not answer the other student-- the crest on his pocket told him that he was a third year, a senpai-- immediately. Instead, through the little space afforded to his sight, he peered. Where the not-so-welcoming stranger wasn't standing, he saw a little of the drama club room... well, it might not be the drama club room, if he was mistaken and he got lost again. Still, it seemed there was no one else, besides this character with the rough demeanor. He could just be one of the delinquent duo... and possibly the very interesting Okazaki-san.
"Hi?"
For a moment he was tempted to throw the question back at the querier, but decided not to. Even if he was rude, he was not that rude, definitely not flagrantly rude, perhaps only instinctively rude. A glance onto his eyes revealed emptiness... boredom... or maybe he was just imagining it. He looked like he was waiting for someone, but that someone turned out not to be that someone, but him. Then again, he really wasn't much of a judge of these things, and it might have just been the angle of the light...
"Is this the drama club room?"
He really shouldn't think too much about these things. They made the head hurt, specially when you do them too fast. Kind of like speed chess, except he couldn't even do normal chess. Enough of the metaphors, he shouldn't keep the person he was talking to waiting, he'd probably think his thoughts were in another dimension. And that would be rude. Definitely not flagrantly rude, but perhaps instinctively rude.
"I'm Mizukami. Is Furukawa-senpai inside?"

One could assume that the young girl trailing far behind her monochromatic-haired fellow junior, was stalking him, or at least keeping a close eye on him. In truth, Sho was headed, coincidentally to the Drama Club too. Aizawa was on the war path after speaking with her older cousin Koji. He had come to her seeking advice from the only girl, other than Rumi that had dated before. Extracting from him more information, the young student was livid. Here, her cousin was in quite a predicament. The way he spoke about this Kyou girl, the more it seemed to Sho like he was completely head over heels for her. And Tomoya. That name struck a chord. The infamous delinquent of 3-D. Koji had explained to her how Kyou was, presumably in love with him, leaving Koji to slump into the background as her friend.
Though quite diminutive, Sho was certainly striding down the halls behind the junior student. White-Grey hair. It fit the description of Koji's friend Ayumu perfectly, though she could not be certain. She was raring to give Okazaki, whom she knew by name only, a piece of her mind, by thundering into the Drama Club, where he was supposedly helping out Nagisa Furukawa, another senior, like Koji. As she neared the room, the door slid open, and a male voice sounded from it, leaving the silvery-haired boy speechless. Before he could muster an answer, Sho quickly dashed into the door frame, and came face to face, or as close as face to face as one with her stature could. It must've been shocking to see such a petite girl come furiously into the picture before the delinquent Okazaki.
"Hey you. Okazaki Tomoya right? I want a word with you, right now." Sho announced, barging past him, and into the Drama Club room. She sat herself atop the desk, scowling.
"You're pretty close with Fujibayashi-senpai in 3-E, so listen up! My cousin Kojiro Otomo is in love with her, but she won't give him the time of day because she got the hots for a deadbeat like you!" Sho hissed, pointing a very accusing finger at Tomoya. Sho sat, cross-legged on top her wooden and metal high horse, glaring venomously at Tomoya. She cared a great deal for her family, and was inclined to help her concerned cousin out.
"I get that some girls like the 'bad boys' but Koji's going places in life. From what I hear you can't even stay awake in one class! So get this into your incredibly dense skull. Koji-nee's in love with Fujibayashi-senpai. You're not. You'd better give him a fair chance if you suddenly decide you are. If not, then you'd better tell Fujibayashi-senpai before she gets hurt, or you'll wish you'd never been born." Sho threatened. If Koji wanted to make this girl happy, and this punk couldn't care less about her, Sho wanted to make sure the record was set straight. If Kyou was strung on by Tomoya, then Koji would be strung on by her, hoping that he might have a glimmer of a chance. Eventually, it'd get out of hand, so the young Aizawa put her foot down, and was here, now, dealing with it. Her method might have seemed a little crude, but it was certain to be effective in getting someone's attention.

He couldn't resist the urge to scratch his head at this stranger. The stranger knew this was the drama club room...that was pretty impressive, considering it had been disbanded the previous year, but what shocked him even more was the fact that...he was actually looking for Furukawa? No way...she had actually found a potential member? He probably should have felt excited, happy, content...something, but instead was too busy wrapping his head around the entire thing to feel an emotion. It was all just so random, who was he? Where did he come from? By the look of his badge he was his junior. His junior? This meant he wasn't even in her class...she had recruited a junior?! Amazing...an image of the two standing side by side singing "Dango Daikazoku" began to form.
Before he let his imagination run wild he reigned it in, preparing to dismiss the boy and head off. Furukawa wasn't here so there was no reason for him to stick around any longer.
"No-"
And then he was suddenly cut off by a raging girl he had never seen before, who for some reason knew him, and was bullying him back into the room - her mouth flying off at a mile a minute. To be honest he didn't really know how to react at first. He was so completely bewildered that he only managed to catch a few words and phrases. She had said something about the Fujibayashi twins, some guy named Otomo...but that all washed away when he caught the terms "deadbeat" and "dense" - those seemed to come out abundantly clear.
It was amusing to see a junior yell him down like this without any provocation whatsoever, perhaps that's why she was talking about "Fujibayashi-senpai", she probably worshiped her or something. Despite this, however, his temper wouldn't be in check against such unprovoked abuse from a junior girl he didn't even know, and his legendary scowl replaced his look of bewilderment. He raised his voice an octave as he looked down on this loud mouthed girl and threatened.
"You trying to pick a fight?"
It was all too loud. All too noisy. Too many new faces, too many annoyances. Only moments ago he had been sitting here in peace - he intended to regain that peace of mind.
"Ahh forget it, I'm out of here."
He had to find the damn president, things were getting out of hand!

Sho stamped her foot down in frustration. She wasn't about to let this end without a better response, nor would she let Tomoya walk away. Her steam had been vented, for now. This gave her time to produce a more hushed tone. Undaunted by Okazaki, and his raised voice, the girl started right back at him. She wondered how Koji coped, being in the same class as the boy whom the girl he liked a great deal was in love with.
"No. I'm not. Not yet anyways. I love my family. If Koji-nee gets hurt, then it's your fault for not telling Fujibayashi-senpai if you're interested in her or not," Sho continued, her brow furrowed as she stood in front of her senpai, barring his exit before he could leave, "he told me that actually wanted to try and become friends with you. Everybody knows what you're like Okazaki-senpai. Yet Koji-nee still wants to try. He should be stopping by this week. He said he was going to tell Furukawa-senpai he was going to join the Drama Club after all."
Sho had to pause for breath before she continued. It seemed she had an awful lot to say. She'd been on the offensive since the get-go, but with good reason. She and her cousins were quite close, good friends, caring family members. Koji and Jun didn't laugh when Sho told them about her crushes like some of her other friends. This, perhaps, was her way of repaying them. Taking in a deep gulp of air, Sho mellowed down.
"Look. I hate having to be the bad guy here, I feel very strongly about this. Koji-nee, as I said is definitely in love with Fujibayashi-senpai, the way he talks about her and all. He confessed to her, she said there was someone else she liked. Koji-nee simply put two and two together, and that equaled you. I don't know what your relationship with her is, but I need, I'm asking you, to tell Fujibayasi-senpai if you feel the same way before the year ends, so Koji-nee doesn't keep hoping in vain." She explained, far calmer now than before. Her unprecedented rage was quite a communicational flaw, but the verbal storm had passed for the time being, allowing her to better explain the method to her madness.
The furious Aizawa seemed to have left the building, replaced by a gentler, sweeter young girl, concerned for the well-being of her family, and not a rampant loudmouth tossing threats about for the sake of her family bonds.
"If he comes here today... Don't tell him I said anything. Or brush him off if he tries to make small talk. Koji-nee might over think things too much, but he's honest. If he says he wants to be your friend, he means it."
Sho did not leave after her closing statement. Instead, she pulled up a chair, and sat down. Being a figure skater, Sho was comfortable with performing in front of people, lots of people. Hearing the entire spiel about Kyou, the Drama Club, his new friends, Sho's interest was piqued. She had twice the reason to visit the Drama Club. Firstly, Tomoya would likely be there, so she could do as she had already done. Second, her performing knowledge might be of some use to Furukawa-senpai. As she was already in the Judo Club (after much persuasion from Koji to learn a martial art) she was unable to join the Drama Club, though if she could help, she would. Realizing that the stranger in the hall was still there, Sho bowed her head apologetically.
"I'm sorry about the ruckus. Mizukami-kun, right? Koji-nee's told me about you. I'm his cousin Aizawa Shoko."

"Uh..."
Some people just moved too fast for the poor Mizukami.
Okazaki Tomoya... because it did happen that it was he who he had been talking to... seemed to be caught in a rut, in just a short period of time. Another... stranger had suddenly dropped in, apparently both foreign to his and Okazaki-san's eyes; and even stranger, she seemed to have popped up for the sole purpose of scolding the infamous delinquent.
What the hell?
Perhaps on that thought the dissimilar minds of Tomoya and Ayumu managed to synchronize. A new person managed to change the beat of the conversation in less than half a minute. And she managed to say so much that Ayumu wondered just how she was doing it. It almost seemed like it was from a drama... this was way too ironic for a scenario happening in the drama club room. She was straightforward, and Mizukami understood that, he even practiced being like that, but she was doing it a little too fast!
"...anou..." he muttered, struggling to get a word in between the large paragraphs the female was reciting (he wondered if she had written them down first and then memorized them) and the mounting annoyance that even the dense Ayumu could tell from the face of Okazaki-senpai. And, of course, trying to comprehend just everything she was saying. It was a very hard job indeed.
Cousin?
Agh, he must have forgotten something again. She seemed very different from Koji-senpai... "Wait, wait, WAIT!" he said, partly because he was confused and partly because he was very confused. It came out louder than he intended, mainly because he didn't take to shouting, even once in a while. He hoped his exclamation would stop the two... well, one from babbling on, and the other from feeling the situation. Well, it would probably stop the conversation, but not Okazaki-senpai's escape...
Aizawa Shouko, eh? Her presence, her entrance, they'd virtually ruined his wishes to simply go to the drama club room, talk to Furukawa-senpai, possibly talk to Okazaki-senpai as well, and get to a settlement. He would have said plans, but Ayumu usually made them on the spot, so they almost didn't count. Besides, it seemed like Furukawa-senpai wasn't here, unless she was fast asleep inside the room... and no one could possibly snore through this racket... (okay, he possibly could, but he wasn't sleeping right now...)
"I wasn't really able to follow all that you said, Aizawa-san. In all fairness to Okazaki-senpai, it really seemed like you were looking for a fight." he said, breathing in. He hated talking too much, specially in these cases where it seemed it would be ultimately be unprofitable. "We should take it more slowly. Okazaki-senpai, maybe you could hear her out." It was starting to look like he had to be the interceder. Aw, crap. And I'm probably bad at it, too.
He looked with a frown towards the inside of the drama club room. "Furukawa-senpai isn't around, isn't she?" he stated out loud, though mostly he intended it to be just a thought. And it looks like Aizawa-san's actions would be driving Okazaki-senpai away... this was turning out to be unproductive. And he had been exerting a little effort too...
Please don't go away...

He wanted to punch her - square in the jaw so her yapping mouth would stop for just one moment. Or maybe she would run away - that would be nice. Of course, he would never hit a girl - even he wouldn't sink that low. He didn't understand what had provoked this girl to such extremes, and quite frankly, he didn't care. He could of chose to listen to her tale but was more inclined to glare at her with that scowl of his and think of the hundreds of things he could be doing instead of being lectured by a junior. It felt similar to being lectured by a professor...except she had absolutely no authority over him. Moreover wasn't he her senior? Didn't that mean something around here anymore? Today seemed to moving backwards rather then forwards, the world seemed to be turning on it's side - after all how many strange occurrences could possibly happen at once? It was no wonder she was Kyou's apprentice...the master had taught her well...
He couldn't help but catch a few of the words she seemed to be spitting out at him, something about Kyou, something about her cousin, something about a love relationship...triangle? My god, why did any of this involve him? Does she want me to get them together? This was one hell of a way to ask. He was getting a headache, he could feel it, any moment now he was going to blow up. This wasn't how the world worked - this wasn't how people were supposed to talk to a "delinquent".
As much as he was quickly beginning to hate every fiber of this girl's being, he had to respect her bravery...or perhaps stupidity? He could name very few girls who would talk to him like this...much less if he was a senior. It almost made him feel bad for not listening to her properly. Almost. As it was, everything about his first impression of her repelled him away and he didn't want to be in the room any longer then he needed to. His peaceful, quiet, and arguably happy days of lounging around in the drama club room were over...what a shame.
The boy...no, he had already forgotten his name, had beaten him to the punch and quieted the room instantly. Thank. God. He felt less grateful towards him then to the silence himself, but at the very least he was glad there was one other sane person in the room. He was almost beginning to like him when he defended him...but that quickly evaporated as he suggested he listen to her. Why should he? Why should he care? Most people wouldn't immediately help a stranger who came at them throwing insults left and right, why should he?
Then he heard his final question and finally found his way to salvation - the road that would lead him back to the perfectly normal world of planet earth.
"No, she's not. I'm going to go look for her -"
He started to move towards the door when a thought came to mind and he paused.
"- and don't follow me, especially you."
He glared at the girl as he emphasized the "you", and stormed off, why the hell did he have to be so popular among the juniors...at the very least he could take solace in the fact that in normal land the term "delinquent" still meant "stay away".

Unfortunately for Okazaki Tomoya, the two juniors that he had addressed with his farewell message were definitely not denizens of normal land. Or were simply incredibly stubborn; some people seemed to consider not being normal something bad. And maybe it was just Ayumu who was like that...
At any rate, Ayumu didn't want this encounter to end, yet. Even if he had been expressly forbidden to continue being in this grumpy guy's presence. He wasn't really good with handling people of uneven temperament... so he usually ignored their craggy sides. He would go on with what he had decided to do while ignoring those edges, though they can be irritating at times...
He wondered if he was this grumpy with Furukawa-senpai; maybe not, since Furukawa-senpai can be very soothing. Still, it was somewhat a wonder that this sort of guy was working with her... he could understand how they both could endure each other, but not how they were drawn together. Maybe Okazaki-senpai was simply incredibly lucky.
Well, I guess we'll be the bad part of your fortune. Sorry, senpai. I can't let an opportunity like this go to waste.
For a moment he watched his back, as he sauntered off, intent on finding Furukawa to probably dispose of Ayumu... and escape Shouko, who had expressly come for him, at the same time. He looked at the girl... Koji's cousin.
He thought what she did was very reckless, and first he had thought that was what probably pushed Okazaki off, but maybe he just didn't want to talk, never mind who it was... (unless it was Furukawa-senpai, probably... maybe he was getting a bit jealous...) maybe he would have gone off and denied entertaining his queries even if the unannounced guest hadn't appeared. Wait, he was unannounced too...
It looked like he was a fair distance off.
"Do we follow him, Aizawa-san?" he remarked, grinning widely, almost like a certain disappearing cat in a fairy tale.
There was something in his cold turndown that spurned Ayumu to do exactly the opposite of his orders... he might be n upperclassman, but still... he had a bit of unfinished business with him, even if he didn't know just what it was. To be honest, Ayumu wasn't entirely sure, either.
I want to get through to him!
He waited for the girl's response.

Shou shook her head in disappointment. Obviously Okazaki-senpai wasn't giving her his full attention. She had to compensate for her lack of physical prowess with a good tongue lashing during encounters. Then, Koji's friend spoke to her, with a huge grin on his face that Shou couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at. It was an easy enough question to answer.
"I would, but you heard him. I think he got the message. Besides. If Koji-nee stops by, someone will need to be here to tell him Furukawa-senpai isn't here." Shou said matter-of-factly. This guy was Koji-nee's friend? It didn't honestly surprise her. Takuya was a weird one also. But alas, she had scared off Tomoya, when her fellow junior clearly had something to say to him. Storming in, running off her mouth. It usually worked, and people got the point. It looked like the infamous delinquent was a tougher nut to crack, as he seemed to ignore her, when her desired effect was to get him to take notice.
"You can follow him if you want." She added, tilting her head at the door. Shou had no intention of chasing after her senior. She'd said all that needed to be said. She'd have to seek out this Kyou Fujibayashi eventually of course, and give her a fair warning too. Shou had never met the girl, but she was familiar with her popularity, at least, amongst the female students. Shou couldn't quite fathom how disappointing it would be to have more female fans than male. Unless of course Fujibayashi-senpai really did have a thing for girls as a fleeting rumor led some to believe. Rumors... They were awfully popular at this school.
The boy was still in the room. He hadn't yet given chase. Sighing, Shou reached into her bag, and, tearing out a piece of scrap paper, scribbled down a note. She slung her bag over her shoulder, and, standing up, she prepared to leave the room.
"Come on then you. We can still catch up with him if we hurry. I left a note for Koji-nee, told him to wait for whoever comes back." She called, taking off down the hall at a brisk jog. She didn't intend to go this far, but today was awfully boring, and, if Koji's stories were anything to go by, one could often find excitement by involving one's self in things like these. As a bonus, she'd be able to help out Koji some more. The poor boy had very little luck with love, and he deserved a fair shot at it. Why he'd pick Kyou was a mystery. Despite her reputation for being violent, and foul-mouthed, her cousin was undeterred. Her sister, Ryou, on the other hand, was quite well known for being the polar opposite, timid, and soft-spoken. She seemed more like Koji's type. Shou guessed love really was blind, and continued down the hall, not breaking her stride, or gazing back to see if that Ayumu guy was following or not.

As much as he wanted to completely avoid the topic, his mind couldn't help but wonder what what had just happened in the drama club room. Now that he finally had some time for himself, his temper, and mood both began to improve, allowing for the blind rage to die out of him. What could possibly provoke a girl to yell at a stranger like that? Especially one that had both a higher class as well as a dangerous status? He tried to recall what she had said - images of her, the stranger boy, and Kyou, all flowed into his mind, until he finally remembered the key phrase in a moment of clairvoyance.
"...because she got the hots for a deadbeat like you!"
His feet skidded to a halt as he stared ahead in shock. It was a stunning revelation to say the least...that is until he started bursting out in laughter. Kyou? Liking him? She would sooner pound his face into the ground rather then fall for a delinquent like him, this girl was seriously misunderstanding their "friendship". But why did this matter to her again?
"My cousin Kojiro Otomo is in love with her..."
Love...now that was a powerful word. Who was this "Kojiro" anyway? He had never seen him before in his life, if he and Kyou were so close why didn't he know anything about him? Not to mention, weren't they only cousins? Were cousins really all that close? He didn't know much about family, but it only seemed logical that cousins wouldn't be so close as to have her go that far for his sake.
Unless...
It was a cover up...
And if that was the case...
Did that mean...
She was secretly in love with Kyou?!
He remembered when he had announced her status publicly to the entire class...had she taken that seriously?
He began to ponder the subject...Kyou...and this girl...they seemed similar enough...but when put together as a couple...
Their fiery nature would transform int-
Gah!
He shook his head to clear this thoughts - he was getting a bit too excited. Now...what was he doing again?

As much as Shou found the silver-haired boy 'weird', Ayumu found the girl a little hard to read. She wasn't exactly a stereotypical character, and even with her outburst he wasn't prepared to write her off as 'extreme'. Maybe she was... 'normal', but someone who would stand up to someone who the norms indicated was 'threatening'...
Sigh... labels.
She seemed to be awfully mercurial, too, though it may just be at this certain point of time, this situation. She had sort-of-indicated, first, that he was free to do as he pleased, which he certainly was; he was merely asking if she would join him. It had seemed that she would stop her chase, because, after all, she had done what she had come for, never mind the results. And then she had seemed to change her mind. She even preceded him, exiting the room and going off their quarry.
But then, she was a girl. Ayumu didn't understand most of them, except for her deceased mother, and her little sister... and sometimes she didn't get them at all. He had his moods, but the temperament of women always caught him off guard. Even Furukawa-senpai's unfailingly even temperament had him off guard (mainly because it was unfailingly even).
He followed, coming out into the corridor. He took one last glance at the inside of the club room. It had seemed a little lonely, but maybe not completely; it was... changing. Furukawa-senpai's absence might mean, some sign from the heavens or something, that pursuing this course of action was not advisable. After all, he had less than... sincere reasons for joining. Attempting to join.
Still... instinct against instinct, thought against thought, doubt against doubt... he had decided, and he really should stop thinking about it. Senpai might just need all the help she could get, if Okazaki and Sunohara were her only helpers. Oh, but Koji said he'd do something, too... if he recalled right...
He gazed off at the two in the distance. With this matter, he had no quandaries. Besides, it was somewhat entertaining, being annoying. Sometimes. And if Okazaki-senpai was really going to look for Furukawa-senpai, then that might be better than just finding the irritable guy.
He wasn't an athlete, but he could run fast, in short spurts. Okazaki-senpai might be better at this than me... with basketball and all... whatever. "Wait up." he breathed, more to himself... obviously it would not reach his sought-for upperclassman, or his fellow sort-of-hunter.
One. Two. Three.
His feet clattered on the floor, as he began his pursuit. A big distance was always a good reason to dash. He smirked, the wind playing with his hair.

Boy this guy was slow. Shou took a quick glance back to see just how slow her cousin's friend was. Despite a harsh warning from him, she'd decided that Ayumu was in the right. She'd pissed off the school's top delinquent, and someone else might pay for it. It'd be no good if he got angry at Kojiro. That was counter-productive to her goal. It was only fair that her cousin get a chance at happiness, after doing so much for other people, with no thought given to a reward. He was quite selfless, and in Shou's opinion, to a fault. Koji was smart enough, but he could be fooled into pitying a freeloader posing as someone in distress just the same as anyone mild mannered enough to fall for it.
She started jogging backwards, slower this time, almost on the spot, allowing Ayumu a precious few seconds to try and pick up the pace, and catch up to her, so they both, could catch up to the increasingly distanced Tomoya, who by now was likely at the bottom of the stairs.
"You're trailing behind Mizukami-san. We're gonna lose him if you don't hurry" She called back, wondering what in the hell possessed her to jump down Okazaki's throat like that. A simple friendly warning would've sufficed, not something quite so rambunctious as yelling at him. Turning around again, Shou resumed her quick-step jog down the hall before coming to the stairwell.
Ah. There he was. Hands in pockets and all. He was certainly a man on a mission. She paused right there. Should she even bother waiting for Mizukami? Figuring he'd catch up, Shou leaped down the stairs, two at a time, whilst calling out to Tomoya.
"Hey. Okazaki-senpai. Hold up for a second."
Knowing he'd be peeved, to say the least with her sudden return to his presence, after specifically being told not to, Shou held up both hands before he could get a word in.
"First off, I know what you said. I'm disobeying it. Second, I shouted at you when I shouldn't have. And for that I apologize. Third, I still meant what I said about my cousin, yelling notwithstanding. So maybe... Maybe you could help me out a little, fill in some of the blanks."
Pausing for but a moment's breath, still not allowing Tomoya to speak, she continued on. She'd came to the Drama Club with limited information, surmising certain things. No hard facts. Speculation.
"So I guess I'll start with this. I told you before, my cousin Otomo Kojiro in your class, is in love with Fujibayashi Kyou in class 3-E. Now, for some reason he's got it into his head that she's in love with you, Okazaki-senpai, and it's starting to dishearten the hell out of him because you, and her sister are apparently such good friends. That true?"
Hopefully her previous apology was enough to get Tomoya to be generous enough to give her some much-needed answers. She was on a crusade. A crusade to see her cousin happy. Or at least stop him from getting his heart splintered and smashed into a thousand pieces. She had next to no information to go on about the relationship between the Fujibayashis, and Okazaki. If they were already friends before, and close friends at that, plus the possibility that Kyou was in love with Tomoya? It seemed like insurmountable odds for her lovestruck relative. As much as Koji denied it during their conversation, claiming it was just a simple romantic attraction, the way he spoke about her, his body language when doing so. Aizawa's woman's intuition told her he was completely head over heels for the girl. She knew of Kyou, and her legendary throwing arm of course. It baffled Shou to think that Koji could be so smitten with one so... Violent. Regardless, she was sure he was sincere when he told her that he wanted to make Kyou happy. It was upsetting to see him feel so glum that he might lose to Okazaki. Did girls really like the bad boys? It was such a cliche... So Shou, neatly wrapping up her musings, waited for a response, or Ayumu to catch up. Whichever came first.

He sighed. They were persistent. They were damn persistent. He wasn't going to escape them. Especially not her, the demon child incarnate of Fujibayashi Kyou. He couldn't help but say a small prayer for the juniors of his class...and then with a sigh he turned to face her once again. He would have to slay this demon with the only way he knew how...by talking to her. He had to take several deep breaths, both to calm himself from his thoughts and to calm himself from being irritated. It just wasn't fair. You would think after throwing away your future one could have some peace and quiet when one wanted.
She seemed to have calmed down...but that still didn't have him warming up to her. It was all too sudden, all too ridiculous - he couldn't help but think of her as a psychotic maniac. At least with Kyou he knew she didn't act dangerous by random - there was almost always a reason for it. And even if that were not true, she would never act uncivil around complete strangers - nobody in there right mind would. But here this random girl he had never met in his life, was jumping down his throat yelling accusations that he couldn't argue against. They were irrational. She was irrational. Therefore, she must be psychotic. He would have to be careful...psychotic maniacs could be very dangerous people...
But the moment he heard her proposal he couldn't help throwing caution to the wind. He was tired, bored, and had been waiting for a certain girl for too long to be patient enough to walk her through her wild conclusions. What harm would come of a little misguided misdirection? It was a double negative so he could only be helping right? He saw the boy trailing behind her - he would have to explain quickly so as to not get him involved as well. He reasoned that if he only heard the latter half of their conversation, he would leave well alone the entire thing and pursue whatever he had attempted to pursue before the entire mess with the girl had occurred.
"Oh yes, you've figured that out haven't you? As bad of a person I am...she seems to trust me with some things that she dare not tell others. Remember that rumor that had circulated the school? The one where she was bi?"
He let out a over dramatic sigh and continued his story.
"Unfortunately it was true, and she now has nobody else to turn to but me. Don't misunderstand, she only comes to me because she knows I would never judge her for it. She wants me to help her find the truth. If your cousin is okay with that..."
He couldn't hold it anymore, any moment now he was going to burst. He suddenly turned away with an arm outstretched, trying his best to turn his gasps of laughter into tears withheld with great effort.
"It's...too sad...forgive me, for I cannot indulge your curiosity anymore, I've already...I've already said too much."

Apparently he was not too late.
The girl, even though he was running, had come up to their seemingly bad-tempered senpai; he guessed his speed just wasn't sufficient with that sort of headstart and distance. He probably was thinking too much, again; recognizing that one was thinking too much usually meant that one was thinking too much. He trotted down the stairs. He never had the knack for jumping through them, unless there were five or less steps remaining.
She had... begun talking, and although he was not yet by her side while she was doing so, he very clearly heard. It seemed her statements were... more rational, and less abrupt, than before, although of course, first impressions, even if they may not completely last, can stick for an awfully long time. At any rate, it seemed she had simply reiterated what she had said, in a more civil manner... will Okazaki-senpai take the bait?
He felt like an audience. The audience. And Okazaki-senpai did take the bait... and then spat it out.
He sighed as the upperclassman went through his... obviously-conjured tale... what was that called? Pulled-out-from-his-ass? He had to admit it was fascinating... if it was true, that is, which it was not likely to be. That would open up to many possibilities. He wondered what he should do... he usually found that what he decided to do wasn't entirely appropriate. Quandaries, quandaries...
He would have wanted the older student to continue running off, and then maybe they could have found Furukawa-senpai... but he guessed the stuff that had to be resolved was Aizawa-san's set of complaints, which didn't seem to be getting through... since Okazaki, having tired of being tired, had began to find a way to amuse himself...
"I disobeyed it too." he spoke, out of the blue, referring to Okazaki's instruction for them not to follow him. He had approached rather silently, and the two were rather absorbed in what they were doing, so he might have startled them...
"Won't you continue your story, Okazaki-senpai?" he innocently inquired, for lack of an idea of how to interject. He didn't want to spoil the delinquent's fun, but Aizawa-san... he wasn't entirely sure what she would do, faced with this.
He felt like an audience... and the audience usually weren't on the stage. He wanted to do more... and chasing would have been doing more... though perhaps with this he might accomplish that goal of his; find out just how this senpai of his ticked... and if he really could trust Furukawa-senpai with him.
