Sakagami Tomoyo______________________________________________________ The lunch bell rang and like always, students rushed out of their classrooms like a stampede of wildebeest. Today would be a slightly different lunch day for Sakagami Tomoyo. She apologized to her normal lunch buddies beforehand, which went more or less like the following: “Sorry, but I’ll be sitting at a different lunch table today. I’ll see you all later.” The reason? She would be sitting with Fujibayashi Kyou and Haru Kichiro to discuss some current questions surrounding Ibuki Fuko, the mysterious yet good-willed girl who was now staying at the Fujibayashi household.
There was always uncertainty regarding the circumstances as to why Fuu-chan could not go home. Hopefully the three of them would figure something out today, and if not today, in the following days. It was a good thing she brought her own bento today, since the lunch lines were always so long. A good half of the lunch time would already be over if she waited in line for one of the so sought-after sandwiches. It would also be rather unpleasant. People could become quite rude in the lunch lines.
Tomoyo’s mind drifted back to Fuko. Perhaps there were family problems at home. Was that the reason why Fuko couldn’t return to her own house? If so, Tomoyo understood completely. She would be able to relate to such a situation. It was difficult living in a household filled with conflict, and some days, she did not want to go home either. Things were better these days, though.
If Fuko was having family trouble, the best advice Tomoyo would be able to give would be to value your family and work to bring everyone closer together. Sure, it sounded cheesy, but it worked. That’s what Takafumi did.... even though it scared the hell out of all of us, Tomoyo thought, recalling the events of two years prior.
“Tomoyo-san, are you alright? You look kinda lost! It’s weird seeing you like this.” There was the bright, cheery face of one of her female classmates.
The silver-haired teen nodded with a surprised smile. “Oh, I’m fine. Thanks.” She didn’t know she looked so preoccupied when she was in thought. “I was just thinking about some things; that’s all. Enjoy your lunch! I’ll see you back in class later.” Meanwhile, Tomoyo made a mental note not to reminisce so much while walking.
Upon entering the cafeteria, she quickly scouted the area for Kichiro and Kyou. They weren’t here yet. After all, she was rather early, mainly because her class was close to the cafeteria in the first place. She decided to pick an unoccupied table close to where the doors were. That way, they would be able to easily see her when they entered. It worked both ways, actually.

As the lunch bell rang, Kichiro picked up his boxed lunch for the day. Normally he would have waited for bread or something else, but today was going to be different. He had received word that Tomoyo had wanted to meet him and Kyou (who had discovered was also helping Fuko) at lunch today to discuss Fuko's home situation. All of them were thinking that it was an odd thing that she couldn't go to her home for some reason. It was like the giant elephant in the room that no one wanted to talk about though; instead they had just been carving starfish and handing them out like there was nothing odd about this entire situation. But as there was, they were going to have to deal with it.
In preparation for it, Kichiro had went ahead and looked into a few things, mostly based on clues from Fuko's own words. Since her sister was a former teacher at the school, and an art one, it had been easy for him to get a name; Kouko Ibuki. One thing just didn't add up though; when he asked his teacher's about the girl's sister, it was said she was in a hospital after an accident. So could that mean Fuko wasn't her sister and was just a nutcase (though he suspected either way she probably was). Or was there something more supernatural going on here? As much as he wanted to doubt the later, it was an option they were going to have to take.....
Still, this wasn't the time for him to be making decisions. He needed to get the information out to them. Since he normally ate in the cafeteria anyway, no one minded when he headed out of the classroom. A brisk walk later, and he found himself right into the mess of the food frenzy. Luckily he didn't have to deal with it today.
"Now where is....ah, there she is."
Spotting Tomoyo over at one of the empty tables, Kichiro made his way through the growing crowds and took a seat.
"Good afternoon Sakagami." he stated, still a little bit awkward in dealing with the girl after the incident that had them met. While he used Tomoyo in his head, he wasn't yet ready to say that to her face. Since it was obvious that Kyou was not yet there, a nice awkward silence fell as Kichiro worked to keep his eyes busy by looking through the crowds for any sign of her... [/blockquote]

Sakagami Tomoyo______________________________________________________ Tomoyo did not need to wait long before Haru-san showed up. He sat down at the table and greeted her in a normal, polite manner. “Good afternoon to you, too,” she said her polite greeting in return, all the while faintly aware of the lingering awkwardness between the two of them.
They weren’t exactly friends, but you couldn’t call the two of them enemies in any way. They were more like acquaintances or coworkers than anything else in Tomoyo’s opinion, and as any high school student knows, sitting with someone at lunch who you don’t normally sit with can feel very strange. Tomoyo however, wasn’t one to allow things to settle in such a way. She could see Kichiro was searching for someone--most likely Kyou--in the crowd that streamed into the cafeteria, which was most likely just an action to feel not as awkward by keeping oneself busy. She knew this because it was something she did quite often as well, but if she wanted to become student council president, she would need to be charismatic. Plus, Tomoyo felt that it would be nice if she could consider Kichiro as a friend.
“So, Haru-san,” she piped up, then became quickly aware of the fact that she didn’t have much to talk to him about besides Fuu-chan. She wanted to save that conversation for when Kyou arrived so then there would be no need to potentially backtrack through an entire conversation which the lavender-haired senior girl would have missed out on. Tomoyo dug through the depths her mind to think of things to talk about, and one rumor came to mind. That was it? Didn’t she have better things to talk about? Disappointingly, she couldn’t think of anything else at the moment. Oh well. Rumors usually had some bit of truth in them (as bad as they often were...), and this one didn’t seem to be harmful. Besides, Tomoyo felt it could be fun to pester Kichiro about his love life. She grinned, her white teeth showing. “How are things going with the other Fujibayashi twin? Fujibayashi Ryou?”
Sakagami Tomoyo didn’t personally know Kyou’s twin sister. All she knew was that Ryou was the timid, shy, short-haired class representative of one of the senior classes.
Some people said the two of them--that is, Kichiro and Ryou--were dating. Why did people care so much about others’ relationships, anyway? Tomoyo never understood the fascination with knowing about other people’s love lives, but she guessed it was because it was merely a fun topic of conversation, as nosy as it seemed. She shook her head then. It wasn’t good to bring up the subject just to make Kichiro feel uncomfortable. “Nevermind. I shouldn’t joke about this. But seriously, I’m a little curious,” Tomoyo said, folding her hands together and resting her chin on them while her elbows were firmly planted on the cafeteria table. Did the sincerity of her curiosity make the situation any better? Probably not... but hey, at least this was something they could pass the time on. The only thing Tomoyo was concerned about was if Kyou came walking up to them while they were in the middle of the conversation. That would certainly be awkward, wouldn’t it?

Kichiro just gave Tomoyo a polite smile after the two exchanged pleasantries. After that was a rather awkward silence between the two of them. He was still rather hesitant after their initial meeting to do anything, for fear of just making it all worse. Besides, the two really weren’t close friends; mostly by this point just working together after getting dragged into the dealings of that odd little girl Fuko. Without Kyou being there they really couldn’t get started on discussing that particular issue, so that really did leave them with nothing to talk about. And from the looks of it, she wasn’t going to be coming anytime soon, so all that was left for him to do was sit across from Tomoyo, awkwardly just looking around hoping for Kyou to arrive and rescue them from the oddness.
When Tomoyo called him, he sat up and looked over towards her. There was a slight hesitance from Tomoyo, and he figured she was trying to dig around and find something to talk about. What she decided to talk about, however, caused him to flinch for a second before his face started to turn rather red from the center outward. H-how did she know about his dealings with Ryou? All Tomoyo saw him with was Kyou. There was no way she got the two of them confused, especially since she said the “other” twin and her name. Was there some kind of rumor going on about the two of them?! It wasn’t like the two were dating or anything like that (then again, when did rumors bother with facts?) or even some kind of mutual attraction between them. Well, there was the haunted house incident, which he could figure might bring some suspicions to people, but that wasn’t a serious thing, right?
”R-Ryou? Uhm, well…”
She interrupted him with a statement saying she shouldn’t joke about it, and so for a moment he thought he was off the hook. She then said she was curious, and her position facing right towards him told him she wasn’t joking anymore. Feeling like a spotlight was on him at the moment, and he shifted uncomfortably. Like he said, it wasn’t that he had a crush or anything like that, but still, being asked as if he was really didn’t make it any better.
”I-I’ve just met with her a few times before. There was one time during the festival that I was with her and we went to the haunted house. Fuko was there too….anyway, I-I guess things would be going fine for a friend. Uhm, w-why are you asking? Don’t tell me there are rumors going on about…..oh crap, Kyou is going to kill me……..”
In all the flustering, he had forgotten about Kyou in all this. If there was a rumor about them dating and Kyou heard it, he had a feeling she wasn’t going to be rational about it. In fact, he was probably going to be killed the moment when she got here…..now he was hoping she didn’t show. [/blockquote]

Sitting in the lunchroom wasn't something Fujibayashi Kyou did often, but considering the circumstance that had been proposed, sitting in the cafeteria wasn't something she was about to walk away from. Usually, Kyou chose to eat in her classroom, or she would eat with her sister. However, Tomoyo had proposed to both herself and Kichiro that they should discuss what should be done about Fuko and her... Condition.
Ibuki Fuko was, as anyone could tell, far from a normal girl. It wasn't just the fact that she was small and seemingly quite child-like, or the fact that she appeared out of nowhere. It also wasn't because she would sporadically hand wooden hand-carved starfish to people as invitations to her sister's wedding. Kyou couldn't quite put her finger on it, but there was simply something odd, something strange about Fuko that didn't sit right. She knew it wasn't something dark or bad, but even so... That feeling bothered her.
Perhaps that was part of the discussion they were going to have at this particular lunch hour. Kyou herself hadn't brought a lunch, much to her dismay, so she was stuck first rushing to hit the lunch lines, but even then, she was pretty all right. Anybody who tried to get in front of her got what equivocated to the most deadly glare in the entire school, and as a result... She was able to, rather cheerily, get through the lunch line with no real issues. Purchasing a sandwich and a drink, as well as a delectable-looking muffin for desert, Kyou made her way towards the tables, scanning the area for Tomoyo and Kichiro.
She could see them a little further down the way, already sitting together. Well, she couldn't help being a little late; even without people being rude, like they were to others, Kyou had still been required to wait in line, and therefore had taken a bit longer than the other two, who appeared to have packed their own lunches. Choosing to carry her food with her own two hands rather than worry about a bulky lunch tray, Kyou made her way through the crowd of people, weaving between others as she kept an eye on the table.
Approaching, she found her way barred by a group of people, but rather than push her way through them... She stopped. She'd heard her sister's name. And spoke by none other than Kichiro. As the boys in front of her turned to see her, Kyou lifted a single finger up to her lips, shaking her head. They got the message; they continued standing there, blocking her from view.
Kyou felt like her gut was going to burst simply out of laughter. It was Kichiro speaking all right; she could tell by the stutter and the shaky tone in his voice. A devilish smile crept across her lips as she nonchalantly slipped through between two of the boys, sliding into the seat directly beside Kichiro. At the same time, she set her purchased sandwich and muffin on the table, still in their wrappers, cracked open the bottle of her drink, and took the smallest of sips.
"What's this about Ryou and the festival?" Kyou queried, appearing to act quite nonchalant as she had apparently come out of nowhere. Turning briefly, she flashed her devil's smile at Tomoyo, partly in greeting, partly to say, "watch this". In particular, Kyou found enjoyment just scaring the living daylights out of Kichiro. The best part? She was damn good at it. Kichiro was probably one of the only guys she would trust around Ryou, simply because he was a mixture of two things: one, he was too introverted to pull anything extravagant, and two, he was way too smart and way too scared of the "older" sibling to even dare try anything anyway. Therefore, rather than impeding on any dealings they had, Kyou essentially lurked in the shadows and observed.
Of course, all of that also had other reasons, reasons which she wouldn't quite get into as of yet.
"Anyway," the lavender-haired teen continued, unwrapping the sandwich she'd bought and taking a small bite. "I'm still confused as to why Fuko can't go home. I mean, it's not like it's a hassle for her to stay with me and my sister, but... If she's got a sister, then..." Clearly distraught by whatever was going on, Kyou took another bite of the sandwich, this one larger. "I can understand family issues, 'cause I've been through there before, so if it's something with her parents, that's cool, but to have her only other choice be staying at the school up until now? I don't know, maybe I'm overthinking it, but doesn't that just seem... Abnormal to either of you?"

Sakagami Tomoyo______________________________________________________ Since the time Tomoyo began to get to know Kichiro, he always seemed to be flustered more often than not. Now was no exception, but he had a right to be. Talking about a crush was something especially blush-inducing. However, as Haru-san stated, he wasn’t dating Ryou. The two of them were just friends, so the rumors Tomoyo had heart were just that—rumors. Apparently, Kichiro himself wasn’t aware of any of the rumors (until now, anyway), which was surprising to say the least. It wasn’t like they were the talk of the school however, so it was understandable. They had just been mentioned to Tomoyo once or twice and that was it. “To be honest, yeah, there are some ru—“
And then, as if summoned by Kichiro’s fears, Kyou appeared behind them. Tomoyo didn’t have anything to fear, and she wasn’t the kind of person to fear anybody anyway, so she calmly turned to greet the senior girl. A devilish smirk was plastered on Kyou’s face. Tomoyo quickly understood. In the time that Tomoyo had gotten to know Kichiro, she found him to be quite the wimp (along with being easily flustered, as already proven). Kyou certainly seemed to love scaring the crap out of the poor guy, and doing that was relatively easy. Tomoyo could see the fun factor in it, considering one almost always received the desired reaction from Kichiro.
Despite her little prank, Kyou was quick to get to the point of their meeting. Tomoyo sat and listened. It was evident that senior girl had the same thoughts as Tomoyo had regarding the enigmatic Fuko. Both recognized that the problem could possibly be from family conflict, but as Kyou said, it was strange that Fuko could not stay with her sister. Why would one even want to stay at the school overnight? A drastic action like that was simply unnecessary.
Tomoyo nodded in agreement. “Yeah, it really is strange. I’m worried about her. I’ve hardly learned anything new about Fuu-chan’s situation since I met her. Have either of you found out anything?” Since Fuko was boarding at the Fujibayashi’s home, Tomoyo assumed they must have found something out, but by the way Kyou spoke, that assumption seemed to be false. How was Fuko acting at their home, she wondered. Was the girl just being her starfish-loving self? The silver-haired junior doubted Kichiro had found anything out, but it was worth a try... if no, then she figured they might as well try to track down Ibuki-sensei and personally ask her.

Kichiro knew full well he was probably overreacting to the situation in the way he was acting right now, but it seemed ingrained in his personality to do so. He had a feeling that Tomoyo and Kyou probably got a kick out of him acting like this. Probably would help if he was less predictable in his behavior. Then again, when you had to deal with someone like Kyou though, there was a reason to be afraid. Before Tomoyo could say something about there being rumors, she got quiet. Kichiro had a sense of foreboding about that, and all of sudden he heard….her. Just out of nowhere came the voice of Kyou Fujibayashi, nonchalantly asking about the situation going on.
What he felt like doing right now was simply jumping out of his seat and running off, or come crashing to the ground. But really, by this point his heart was starting to give out from fear, and so instead he just slumped forward onto the table after a moment of freezing up in fright. He was at least still conscious, but had just given up on doing anything about it. After all, spazzing out was a very tiring job, and it was just easier to accept your fate sometimes.
”Hi Kyou. Apparently there are some rumors about me and Ryou being a couple. Just go ahead and kill me now if you must….”
When a moment went by without something pounding into his head, Kichiro look up to find that the topic of discussion had shifted back towards Fuko. With his neck saved for the moment, Kichiro listened in as the two girls had their say about the entire situation. At least it sounded like everything was going on fine over at the Fujibayashi home in regards to Fuko staying there (he didn’t know who to feel sorrier for in that situation, but the rest of the discussion basically covered everything they were all thinking and feeling about the situation. When Tomoyo stated she hadn’t heard anything new, however, Kichiro finally found his moment to shine. Apparently he had the foresight to ask about such things….
”Actually, I did look into a little bit. Since we already had a name for Fuko’s sister, and that she was an art teacher here at the school, I figured I’d ask around the school and see if any of the teacher’s would be willing to tell me something. Most of them worked for Kouko Ibuki before and were rather close with her. The odd thing is though,” and this is the moment that Kichiro sounded rather serious and quiet,”She’s supposed to be in the hospital in a coma after being hit by a car after entrance ceremonies a few years ago. Isn’t that the same story as that ghost girl that everyone’s talking about now? You guys don’t think Fuko and the ghost girl are one in the same, do you?” [/blockquote]

Kyou was rather glad that Tomoyo caught on quickly when it came to having a little 'fun' with Kichiro. Maybe she might have been a bit mean when she did it sometimes, but hey, if he hadn't died yet, he was all right, wasn't he? So long as he didn't have a sporadic heart attack out of sheer fear, Kyou would have nothing to worry about. It was just too much fun to scare him, anyway; each and every time, she got the reaction she desired, and most of the time, it just brightened her day a little.
Well, except this time. This time, his reaction was a bit different. She caught the flash of absolute fear and terror in his eyes by her appearance, but he seemed quick to relapse; rather than stuttering and trying to talk his way out of things, he simply slumped over on the table and surrendered. Kyou could hardly keep a smile from her face! She felt the muscles tightening as she forced away the smile, allowing just the briefest of inelegant snorts to escape.
She, however, ignored Kichiro's surrender and got right to the point. It was no fun if he just gave in like that; it closed off all other avenues for her to scare him again. Needless to say, this wasn't really the time for those sorts of fun and games in large quantities; they had things to discuss, after all. The stuff about Fuko and her sister Kouko were rather important things they needed to determine as soon as was possible. From what he said, Kichiro had done some looking into things: Kouko had been a former art teacher at the school, so many of their teachers knew her and had worked with her. There was something strange, however...
”She’s supposed to be in the hospital in a coma after being hit by a car after entrance ceremonies a few years ago. Isn’t that the same story as that ghost girl that everyone’s talking about now? You guys don’t think Fuko and the ghost girl are one in the same, do you?”
Kyou simply couldn't help it. The opportunity was there. Seeming to materialize a flashlight out of nowhere, Kyou was suddenly dangerously close to Kichiro's face, a demonic look in her eyes as she shone the flashlight under her chin to increase the fear factor. "Ghost girl, you say~?" Kyou said in a haunting voice. After a few seconds of taking in the reaction she received, Kyou composed herself, clearing her throat briefly.
"That sounds absolutely ridiculous, but hey, you might be on to something," Kyou replied, cracking open her drink and taking a sip. "Though to me that seems a bit far-fetched. If she was a ghost, then..." Kyou couldn't really think of a way to explain it. Ghosts were supposed to be illusions, translucent, and with no physical form, right? Or so most stories spoke of them... She thought about that. The only way they'd be able to tell was if they...
"Kichiro... Do you know what hospital she's at?" Kyou asked. She had an idea in mind, but she would prefer to execute it herself. It would simply be better that way, she thought; that way, the others could pursue other information about Fuko in the meanwhile. "I'm going to go visit her in the hospital. If she really is the 'ghost girl' everyone talks about, then that's the only way we're going to find out."

Sakagami Tomoyo______________________________________________________ Kichiro’s reaction was surprisingly calm. Tomoyo had expected him to at least let out an effeminate scream of fright, but instead, the boy just... slumped onto the table, as if defeated. Could that really be considered a calm reaction, though? In this case, “calm” was relative. The tormented boy regained his composure rather quickly when he was prompted by Tomoyo’s question, which was a good thing. After all, they came together today to discuss important matters and not to joke around. However, did he really have a lead on the mystery behind Fuu-chan...?
Kichiro let loose all the information he had gathered, and it seemed he was the only one here who had actually taken action. Truthfully, Tomoyo hadn’t done much investigating... she merely helped Fuko out with the starfish. Meanwhile, Kichiro had asked the other teachers at the school about Fuko’s sister, who used to work as an art teacher, as they all knew. Tomoyo tilted her head to the side questioningly as soon as Kichiro mentioned that there was an “odd thing”.
It was a lot odder than anything Tomoyo could have imagined.
”She’s supposed to be in the hospital in a coma after being hit by a car after entrance ceremonies a few years ago. Isn’t that the same story as that ghost girl that everyone’s talking about now? You guys don’t think Fuko and the ghost girl are one in the same, do you?”
Those were Kichiro’s words. Was he joking? No, he was completely serious. But Kyou apparently wasn’t. The lavender-haired girl whipped out a flashlight, as if prepared for this exact situation, and imitated what one would do in the retelling of a scary tale around a campfire. Tomoyo agreed, though. It was an unlikely story. There really were no such things as ghosts, but that didn’t explain why the Fuko they knew wasn’t in a coma. And weren’t ghosts supposed to be spirits of the dead? If Fuko at the hospital was still alive, they shouldn’t have a ghost girl running around... assuming ghosts are real in the first place.
“Yes, it would be a good idea to know what hospital Fuko is supposedly staying at. And if that’s the case... what’s with our Fuko? I think ghosts are out of the question, but does that mean the Fuko we know isn’t really... ‘Fuko’?” Was somebody imitating Fuko Ibuki? And if that was the case, what would the reason for that be? Tomoyo felt guilty for even thinking the sweet Fuu-chan could be a fake, but what other conclusions could she come to... ? “Kyou, if you’re going to try and visit the hospital, I think I’ll take Kichiro with me to visit Ibuki-sensei herself. Is that alright, Kichiro?”

Snorting aside, it seemed he was off the hook for now with Kyou. Probably because it really wasn’t something he could control; she usually punished people for things within their control correct? Whatever the case, he recovered rather quickly as there wasn’t anything harming him at the moment, and the focus was brought back to the reason they were all meeting; Fuko. From the sounds of it all, he was the only one to have had done any research on the subject. All of a sudden, Kyou pulled out a flashlight (where was that kept?) and did a whole ‘scary face in the flashlight routine.’ For once, Kichiro didn’t freak out (the fear of death can calm you down afterwards) and just looked at her oddly. After all, that was just a rather strange behavior to come out of her. Tomoyo seemed to think the same thing.
Silliness aside, this whole thing with the ‘ghost girl’ was troublesome. Since they all basically rejected the idea that Fuko could be a ghost, that left the question then: if Fuko Ibuki was in the hospital, then who was the Fuko that they were helping? After all, the girl was wanting to help Fuko’s sister, but if she wasn’t Fuko then why? But if the girl was in fact Fuko’s ghost….no, that couldn’t be truth could it? The idea was silly and farfetched, but it would oddly enough be the more logical thing since there was no reason for a complete stranger to be helping Kouko Ibuki. Unless this girl was a friend of Fuko acting like her…..oh, this was annoying.
It made him feel better though that Kyou and Tomoyo were just as lost as he was about the subject. So the next thing then was to plan out what exactly to do about the whole thing. As he was the only one who had done the research, they expected him to know the hospital. Unfortunately, he didn’t ask about that; he was pushing it as it was and he was afraid of getting questioned if he asked something like that. Besides, he figured they could ask Kouko about it; he wasn’t sure if the teacher’s here knew. But what he figured of her condition however, Kichiro figured it would be in the hospital in the nearby town as the local one wouldn’t have the equipment for coma victims.
”No, I sadly don’t have that information. I thought we could just go and visit Kouko first and see what we could learn from there. If there was a simple mixup and Fuko is in fact fine, then it would be a waste to go the hospital. Besides, and I don’t know why, but I just don’t think that’s a step we should take just yet. I think Tomoyo and I visiting Kouko would be the best idea to do for now. In the meantime, I guess you and Ryou could just keep Fuko entertained, maybe get her out of this school or something?” he replied, throwing out his own suggestions on what to do. [/blockquote]

Kyou was rather disappointed that her attempt to scare the daylights out of Kichiro for a second time had failed, but regardless, even the attempt had been fun. She would have rather liked to see another of his frightened expressions - after all, they were rather hilarious - but needless to say, she'd had her fun for the day. She'd find someone else to scare, or perhaps find some reason to punt Sunohara across the schoolyard later.
“Yes, it would be a good idea to know what hospital Fuko is supposedly staying at. And if that’s the case... what’s with our Fuko? I think ghosts are out of the question, but does that mean the Fuko we know isn’t really... ‘Fuko’?” Tomoyo had brought up an interesting point, to say the least. Someone could possibly be impersonating Fuko, though the question still remained of why she would have been able to stay at the school overnight as well. Regardless, she did seem like a normal girl, so... She couldn't be a ghost, right? Ghosts were supposed to be translucent and leave ectoplasm behind and you couldn't touch them physically.
...Supposedly. For all Kyou knew, they were flying tortoises with fur.
It did make logical sense, however, to speak to Kouko first before they went ahead and visited Fuko at the hospital. That much Kyou did know; since Kichiro pointed out he didn't know what hospital Fuko was at, Kyou would let them do that. In the meanwhile, she would make a point to learn whatever she could from Fuko about Kouko, as she was the closest to Fuko out of their trio.
thought we could just go and visit Kouko first and see what we could learn from there. If there was a simple mixup and Fuko is in fact fine, then it would be a waste to go the hospital. Besides, and I don’t know why, but I just don’t think that’s a step we should take just yet. I think Tomoyo and I visiting Kouko would be the best idea to do for now.
"That's sort of what I was thinking, Kichiro; you guys could visit Kouko and see that if maybe if she is in the hospital, you could find out from there, and I'd go check that out. It's kind of tough to go visit her without knowing where she is, now isn't it? And the only person who can really tell us is Kouko."
"In the meantime, I guess you and Ryou could just keep Fuko entertained, maybe get her out of this school or something?"
"She is out of the school, sort of. She's been staying with our family for a while, but she's still been coming regularly. I think she's been taking the bus with Ryou, since I uh, don't take the bus," Kyou replied, giving no indication of how she got to school. For all they were aware, she liked the exercise and decided to trek on foot. "I think I'll try to see what more I can get out of her or learn from her about her sister and whatever's going on. Maybe she knows something or could give some sort of indication towards the situation." A logical assumption, of course.
"There just isn't something right here, though, and it bothers me! Urgh, I just can't stand not knowing what in the world is about this girl!" Endearing her moment of frustration, she took a rather large bite of her sandwich, taking the time to chew the large chunk as she vented her frustration upon the rather delicious bread and sandwich stuffers.
Finished, she decided to change the subject briefly, as it appeared that their matters were quite finished in regards to Fuko. "So, Kichiro... How've you and Ryou been doing? I noticed you guys haef been spending quite a bit more time together," she questioned, the barest hint of deviousness behind her eyes. In all truth and honesty, though, she'd been rather curious. She'd question Tomoyo later about her goals as student council president, of course, but right now she was rather interested in the work she'd made with Kichiro and her sister. Since Ryou didn't really have any interests (and Kyou thought it was great for them to at least be friends considering their similar personalities) and Kichiro was a bit down after his failed attempts with Kotomi, she'd thought it would be a rather... Interesting endeavour.
