Mayahuel ; Destiny Child
#Name ; Aozaki Yuka
#Age ; 16
#Gender ; Male
#Sexuality ; Bisexual
#D.O.B. ; January 10th, 1987
#Occupation ; High School Student
#Year and class ; 2-B
#Height ; 5'4"
#Weight ; 110 lbs
#Physique ; Thin, petite
#Hair color and style ; Long, blue
#Eye color ; Blue
#Clothing styles ; Yuka's clothing style would best be described as 'gamer tomboy', despite the fact that he is actually a guy. He doesn't dress necessarily in a masculine way, but more like a teenage girl who isn't very feminine and prefers to wear a more boyish style. He's always seen wearing a hoodie, regardless of the weather. He also usually prefers shorts and thigh highs, although he usually switches it out for jeans during the winter.
#A more thorough description ; Yuka is quite small for his age, just barely reaching five-foot-four. He isn't unusually short or anything, but he's still rather insecure about his height and becomes defensive whenever someone brings it up. He also has a petite build and, despite his tendency to constantly eat sweets and drink soda, is quite thin. He's a lot stronger than he might appear at first glance.
He has blue hair that reaches a few inches past his waist. It's quite chaotic, refusing to stay neat regardless of how much he brushes it. It's also somewhat uneven, with some chunks of hair being a lot shorter than others. It looks like a kindergartner just grabbed a pair of safety scissors and went at it. Somehow, he makes it work. He has blue eyes, and wears black, thick-rimmed glasses.
#Personality ;Yuka radiates 'chaotic good' energy. He's always quick to help others and shows everyone the same amount of genuine warmth and kindness. It doesn't matter whether they "deserve" it or not — in fact, he's especially kind to those who society has rejected. He cares about the ones the world tries to convince him aren't worthy of it.#History ;
He thinks kindness is one of the most quietly powerful things. He's able to make someone feel safe and loved simply by giving them a compliment or sitting with them at lunch when nobody else will. It's the ultimate act of rebellion: insisting on showing compassion and grace in a sometimes compassionless world.
He peers pressures his friends sometimes, but not into drinking or doing drugs. No, he pressures them into doing things like eating or drinking water . He cares a lot about them and wants them to take care of themselves. But he's also aware of how hard it can be to take care yourself sometimes, so that's why he's there to hype them up.
He's the first person people would suggest going to if you're sad or just need to vent. He won't always be able to provide help, especially if he doesn't know much about the situation, but it's nice to have a shoulder to cry on. He's also willing to sacrifice sleep, schoolwork, and his mental well-being if it means making somebody feel better.
Yuka is motivated by one thing, and one thing only: spite. It's his entire reason for studying and always striving to do better in school. Yeah, going to college and getting a good job is nice, but he really just wants to better than the people he doesn't like. It's an extremely petty thing to do, but it gets him good grades, so he doesn't see the problem.
He doesn't really care about being seen as cool. If people think he's weird or annoying, then that's their problem. He's here for a fun time, not to be popular or well-liked by others. Life is way too short to constantly worry about what others think of him. He's having fun and he isn't hurting others, so there shouldn't be any issue at all.
Yuka was born on January 10th, 1987 as the son of Aozaki Aoi. His mother was still a high school student when she was born, and he was the result of her being peer-pressured into doing something with a boy at school during her third year. She didn't know how to raise a child, so he got sent to live with his Aunt Toko (who was already an adult at this point). She was a college student, so she wasn't exactly the best candidate either, but she was the only living relative and she tried her best.
Due to his aunt being in college and having to work as a waitress to pay student loans and raise a child, he was often left with a babysitter. His regular babysitter was very understanding and polite, and never expected much. She also sometimes outright refused money from Toko. When his aunt did have time for him, she tried to play with him as much as possible.
When he was a toddler, his aunt finally finished college and was able to move into a small apartment. She had three other roommates. Most of them seemed to accept the fact that she had a son, but there was this one guy who was kind of a jerk about it. He didn't like kids very much. He was never outright rude to Yuka though, so Toko just dealt with it. she couldn't really do anything.
He lived in that house for awhile. He was still living there when he started kindergarten at the local elementary school. He didn't make very many friends. The girls thought he was gross because he liked to catch bugs and played in the mud, while the boys thought he was weird because he knew how to make flower crowns (courtesy of one of his aunt's roommates) and liked princess movies. So he spent a lot of time alone.
Near the end of kindergarten, he finally managed to move out of there. His aunt had saved up a ton of money to buy a small house on the countryside. It was nearly an hour away from the school he would be attending, but no biggie. They had a car. It was a little difficult when it came to picking him up from school, especially when she worked late, but she had friends who could do so. Even if she did hate asking them...
It was around fourth grade that he started being teased for his unusually feminine appearance. It was never really mean-spirited, so he didn't have an issue with it. He'd even play along with the jokes sometimes. It helped him make some friends, as people saw him as the type of guy who could take a joke. He also liked video games, which helped him bond with some of his classmates.
He didn't really have an eventful life. Overall, it was normal: he had friends, did well in school, lived with his aunt. It was normal. It was only recently that he moved to Hikarizaka. His aunt had managed to buy a house that was a lot nicer than their last one, and he lived closer to the school. He wasn't too upset. He didn't really have any close friends, and the kinda sucked. He would miss climbing on all the trees, though. That was fun.
He has only recently moved in and he isn't even completely settled yet. There are still boxes everywhere. He's gonna be starting his second year at Hikarizaka Private High School soon, though. The Roleplayer's Corner

#Sample Writing ;"Crap..."
Yuka gritted his teeth, a hiss of pain escaped his clenched jaw as he lay on the concrete. He really should've been more careful and payed attention to his surroundings. Well, that's what he gets for decided to walk around while reading a manga. He didn't even know Hikarizaka that well yet. Of course he was going to trip over something, that was a given. Why hadn't he thought this through?
At first glance, the injury wasn't that bad — it was a pretty nasty scrape, but it wasn't gushing blood or anything like that. It really hurt though, and given that it was an open cut, there was a good chance he would get an infection if he didn't hurry and treat the wound.
He stumbled to his feet, gripping the lamppost to steady himself. He'd already been feeling a little light-headed (a combination of being somewhat sick and not drinking a lot of water), and the pain in his knee wasn't helping. His house wasn't that far away though, he could make it.
The blue-haired boy hesitantly let go of the lamppost and took a step forward... and proceeded to immediately fall to the ground again. Walking was a lot more difficult than he had anticipated. He sighed, leaning backwards. This was going to take a while...
