Welcome One and All!

Dear You,
Welcome old members, new guests, and bots alike. Welcome to Dango Daikazoku. As you can see, this site has died. Would a revival be possible? Maybe. But even if were to never be, I can say without a doubt this was the best forum I had the pleasure of being a part of. Sure it may have been a rough start, but this place had something no other forum could ever hope to replicate. It was founded on a wonderful anime called Clannad. Every single person who joined this site, or even had an interest in joining, and yes, I do mean EVERY one of you, I consider a close friend. Someone who I share a special secret with. I may have come off rough around the edges towards many of you, but I'd like you, you who are spending the time to read this, to know that even though I may have come off as a troll, rude, or even uncaring for others, I felt a special kinship to everyone on this site, because it's my honest belief that anybody who loves Clannad, is a good person. Anyone who could even appreciate that which I hold so close to me is most definitely, without a doubt, a good person.
This site wasn't always the most popular - hell, we struggled to keep even a handful of active members at a time. Despite our best efforts of recruiting and revamping, it seemed we were doomed (or perhaps I should say blessed) to keep our daikazoku great big family a small one. But that's okay. Because you see, for all the years I've spent role-playing, on the many, many different websites and forums, this has been the only one to not only grant me several life-long, precious friends, but also to grant me one of the most happiest parts of my personal life that I only ever dreamed about someday being able to have. This site, a mere blip in the truly massive role-playing community, yet somehow managing to always be the first search option that appeared when searching "Clannad RP" (I was always proud about that. In fact, that's how I accessed the website 75% of the time), is, without a doubt, the best family I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. So thank you. Thank you all.
And it is for that reason, while I have the ability to do so, I will always remain here. I may not check this site very often, but I will always spend the time to revisit this place should the need ever arise. So if anyone out there is wondering if this forum could be revived, my answer stays firm at 'maybe'. 'Hopefully' I should say. I have ideas. I have plenty of ideas. Funny how you never get tired or lose motivation for the things you love. But just as the theme of Clannad is family, so to must I wait patiently for whomever would like to join me in this endeavor. For role-playing takes two. But you who are reading this, just remember, if you have any love for Clannad. Any love for Key's other works, such as Angel Beats!, Kanon, Air, or Little Busters! Any love for the simplistic yet somehow endearing style of slice-of-life that I can't get enough of. A love that stirs your heart with motivation just ready to burst forward into a world for others to join in on. A universe ripe with characters and stories and experiences. A forum much like Dango Daikazoku was to me. Fear not. For you are not alone.
Yours truly, Okazaki Tomoya aka Vivo
P.S: Celena: You're a much better role-player then you know. Don't waste your time one-lining it on certain MMORPG's. Go out there and write with the skill I know you have. Remember, you were the first. You made me stay. That doesn't count for nothing.
Legend: First off, thank you for what I mentioned above. Technically speaking, you were the key to that occurring. Second, keep going. Keep writing. Don't stop. Even if your interests push you to other things and become too busy with life. Don't stop role-playing. For better or for worse, you were the first to join the Resistance as a fresh-face. Carry on the legacy - and remember, I'll be here.
Whammy, Saska, Nick: You guys gave me a hell of a time when I first joined, I almost just straight up left. I can't say I ever truly connected with you, even though I tried (sort of). Come back and say Hi sometime. You were an integral part of the family after all. And family is forever.
Akira: I don't think you liked me very much. Truth be told, I wasn't all that fond of you either. With that said, you were probably our most dedicated and consistent member. Here's my official salute to you for being so active, even when those around you couldn't keep up.
Miyu: Never stop being you. Keep exploring, keep searching, and find what makes you happy. But no matter what, never stop being you. You are a much more amazing person then you give yourself credit for. Then anyone gives you credit for. So really, truly, never stop being you.
Kim: I haven't forgotten our promise Kim. I haven't forgotten the story, or the plot. If you're ever interested in continuing, you know where to find me.

A forsaken traveler, wandering aimlessly through a forgotten barren wasteland.
That is what I feel I am as I traverse this site. It gives me great melancholy to see that this is the fate you have all met. I am truly and dearly sorry for such, and it seems I arrived much too late to guide some to a light of salvation.
Mr. Anonymous (To me) perhaps you were correct in stating that there is hope, that there is still a glimmer of that lost and dimmed light. I hope that much is true, for the sake of all of us.
Now, unfortunately, I am completely ignorant of the events that lead to such a tragic end, and cannot say with certainty how well and tightly knit the occupants of this website were. Because of that, I cannot properly convey how apologetic I am to see it has dissipated into the great beyond. I must also state how I wish that I'd arrived sooner, if only to get to know you all better.
I have no knowledge of the amount of times any of those who view this will continue their usage of this site. Therefore, I cannot be sure as to if any of you will actually see this. If you do however, do not hesitate to reply, as I will (hopefully) remain an active visitor of this place until a very long time later.
Or, perhaps, if I am the last live soul in such a stagnant darkness, and none of you receive this, I shall say this. I am offering you all a silent salute. A final, silent and sorrowful, goodbye that shall never reach eyes or ears. This shall be but a whisper through a lost world. An unknown thanks, to not meet the ears of its aimed target. And if that is the case, I suppose this is goodbye. Thank you all, even if I know none, for such a wonderful ray of light, on the world's blighted surface.

That was beautiful. Thank you for the salute, it means far more then you realize. To shed some light, the simple answer is likely what befalls many other forums - we simply lost activity. No dramatic fights or anything like that, we just had a few too many people leave when nobody was really joining. There were a few pushes to advertise and try and get some more people to join, but ultimately with nobody joining the site just kind of passed on in a whisper. But I definitely believe there is hope if there's people like you out there who do have passion for a place like this. Feel free to message me if you have any questions in particular or would like to talk about anything. Also, a few people had some words to say after the end much like you and can be found here: clannadrp.proboards.com/thread/2776/family-back-again-activity-thread

There's not much that I can really say that Tomoya hasn't already! Indeed, the site has fallen dead because of inactivity and such. Nothing drastic happened. Your salute was indeed a very sweet passage for this beloved place, and I couldn't be more touched by the action in itself. Alike Tomoya, I believe there is hope for places like this that is carried on the shoulders of people such as you.
You may also message me as well as I visit this home every so often to check up on it - be it just a question or to talk about anything. (^ ^)

This is a world that has ended. Nothing is born, and nothing dies. Not even passing time exists.
Welcome, traveler, to the ruins of our home. Your whispers have drawn out remnants of the broad family that had once lived here. Your post was marvelous; thank you for taking the time to speak into this abyss.
As you can now tell, a few of us do check in here from time to time. This was a home like no other, so it's tough to stay away. Every so-often, lights flow into this hollowed land, reminding us of times long gone. Travelers such as you bring this light, and for that I thank you.
May life treat you well.

To those who replied:
I offer my sincerest gratitude for all of your greetings. Perhaps, if this site was once occupied by people, all of your stature, there will once again come a time when this world will bear life, and not the husks of those who once were (The abandoned accounts). As I stated, I was not sure if there would actually come a reply, and it fills me with joy that this wonderful website is not yet lost to the void.
To Tomoya Okazaki: I thank you for the brief summary of this site's downfall. It saddens me to see that I missed such a great community. In all seriousness, I actually feel like Okazaki did when his town began to change.
Nostalgic. I don't know why, or how, but the cause of my sadness pertains to nostalgia.
To Masumi Kazue: Thank you, it means a great amount to see that my post evoked such a reaction. Also, do not underestimate yourself, I'm sure there are many wonderful things to say about this place.
To Densetsu Karu: Wow. Dude, I ain't even gonna' try to top that. You have just earned my respect and thanks.
P.S. : I haven't been on the ball today, so sorry if these post were much less...inspiring.
P.P.S. : Perhaps we should get to making a small RP, just for fun. (It's possible it will attract other members, to see that activity has been recent. When I first visited, I saw that about five unmarked guests were viewing the Welcome One and All post. Older members might join back as well.)
P.P.P.S. : Sorry for using the format for your post, Okazaki, I couldn't resist.
