Type: Original
Age: 18
Year and Class: 3-C
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Jun Imai from Yonen Buzz (This was the best picture I could find).
Description:
One could be forgiven for mistaking Takumi for being older than he actually is; his beautiful crystallesque grey-blue eyes are sunken in, usually with rings and bags beneath them from lack of sleep. His body is scrawny and slumped, his skin is pale and his facial expression is usually that of near lifelessness, showing all of the signs of a defeated individual who decides to merely 'exist' rather than 'live'. His hair is straw-like, and it's colouring nowadays isn't much different.
In contrast, his body when he was healthy was rather muscular (albeit still somewhat on the scrawny side), and he once stood at 5'10", somewhat average for his age. His hair was a dirty blonde colour, usually kept shoulder length or to the base of his neck, with his fringe barely covering his shining eyes - eyes that burned with desire and ambition. His preferred clothing has always been baggier clothes, usually consisting of sleeveless tops or band t-shirts, and usually with a hooded jumper over the top in the colder weather.
Personality:
Lifeless. Emotionless. Pointless. Three words that describe Takumi in a nutshell. But he wasn't always this way, and a part of him hopes he won't remain this way.
Behind his brittle and worn exterior lies the real Takumi; a young man who wants nothing more than to achieve, live happily, and enjoy everything in the years that are laid out before him. Music is his one love, the only thing that has remained with him through his transformation from an outgoing, hardworking and much-loved individual into a depressive, self-involved delinquent.
Takumi's outer personality is not a pretty one. He doesn't live. He doesn't want to live. He simply exists, passing through the days purely out of habit, a ritual his body had become accustomed to. He rarely speaks, not even when spoken to. But when he does, the recipient/s of his words are usually left reeling and disgusted at his language and his attitude. Day in, day out, all that keeps Takumi alive is his music; he sits in a music room every day, in his bedroom every night, and simply releases his soul using his guitar and a variety of vocal techniques he learned before his depression.
Takumi is not all he looks though. As his music suggests he is actually a very deep soul who is subconciously trying to claw his way back to reality. Before his depression Takumi was a hard worker and was surprisingly intelligent, always coming in the top quarter of his class in tests. His attitude was forever positive, forever focussed on his future. He was always sarcastic, but it used to be only in a playful manner. His friends and his family were everything and, despite being a major wind-up merchant towards them, he would always try his best for them no matter how much they declined his assistance. However his stubborness was as much to blame for his downward spiral as the tragic events were. He always refused help, always wanted to be independent and get through things himself.
History:
Takumi was born in Hikarizaka to loving parents. A simple family, his mother was famous locally as an artist, but preferred to remain local so as to not disrupt Takumi's life. His father was the head chef in the top restaurant in the town, and so was forced to work ridiculous and unsociable hours. Regardless of this, Takumi's father always made sure to take Takumi out on any days he got off of work.
His early school years and even his middle school years seemed blissful to Takumi, and from day one he was praised for his singing. At the age of 12 he first picked up a guitar. It belonged to an older student who caught Takumi attempting to play chords he'd seen his favourite musicians playing. Despite his rudeness at using the student's instrument, the older boy offered to teach Takumi some basics. It was later in that year that he was bought his first and only guitar, and from there his music and his ambitions flourished.
High School is where things began to turn sour. Despite his hard work, Takumi was occasionally bullied by older students, and it was only once he'd made friends from a variety of years and classes that he felt confident enough to stand up to them. After many months, Takumi finally freed himself from the bullying, and quickly became a highly respected student. His second year was considerably tougher; his father was killed in an accident at work a near the end of the year, leaving Takumi and his mother devastated and without income. Things spiralled downhill fast. His mother grieved daily, leaving Takumi to fend for himself until he was taken in by his grandmother halfway through the third year. His mother was eventually taken to hospital to recover from mental and physical sickness.
The shock of such a massive change in such a short time hit the boy hard, and he began caving in on himself. It was during this time that he hit his depression; he stopped attending school so regularly, his personality changed completely, and eventually he was told he would have to repeat his final year due to lack of attendance. He'd pushed away all of his friends, has yet to even visit his mother since his move to his grandmothers, and so repeating the year is a whole new start for Takumi.

Leon saw the bandage over her eyes now, and it became apparent as to why she hadn't seen him approaching. "Apologies Miss...I simply wanted to make sure you were in a healthy state. It's rather unusual to see somebody as relaxed as you appeared to be, especially given the recent occurences. I'd thought perhaps you'd lost conciousness, but I realise now that I was mistaken." His reply was in rather a soft tone despite his words. Not to mock, not to sympathise or even empathise. It was simply because now that she was aware he was there, he had less need for an authoritative and ear-hooking tone.
As the girl rubbed her eyes, Leon looked up at the glaring sun. "Is the heat bothering you at all? Aside from being incredibly hot of course." he asked the young girl. He then realised he was probably intruding on her privacy by asking, and quickly looked back at her. "You don't have to answer that. As I said, I only came over to ensure you were in a healthy state, and to see if you needed any assistance. If you wish I can leave you be."
Blind...how did I not realise that when I approached...the sun must be playing tricks on my eyes...
"I'll be headed off into the desert shortly, so if you need anything at all then please ask. Unless..." he stopped for a moment, and once again his tone softened. But this time it wasn't just his tone. The very words he spoke were more natural, and less military-esque. "...unless you're headed to the desert yourself...in which case you will probably need someone to partner up with for the journey."
