::Tanaka Keishi::
Type: Original
Age: 15
Year and Class: 1-C
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Crushes: None yet!
Face Claim: Sora Kasugano from "Yasugo No Sora"
Description:
Keishi has a pretty average height, perhaps a bit on the tall side, being 5'7. She weighs around 112 pounds. Keishi is slender and trim, finds herself having an athletic build, though muscle definition is not her most notable trait. Her legs and arms are long and delicate, with a short torso. Keishi's bust is small, about an A-cup.
Keishi's hair is a silvery gray-brown, with long locks that reach around her hips. Her overgrown bangs touch the tips of her eyelids. Keishi usually accessorizes by pinning a black ribbon on each side of her head. Her face has an angular chin, but with a soft jaw. Keishi has a long forehead, but is mostly covered by her bangs. Keishi's eyes are black and grey, which give off a mysterious vibe in addition to her almost ghostly hair color. Her eyes also create a somewhat dreamy, almost vacant look. However when first stared into, the intensity the piercing gray may make the onlooker a bit taken aback.
During school, the additions Keishi makes to school uniform in the winter are her knee-high grey socks, which match her eyes, yet take away calmness from the buttery pastel-yellow. When donning the uniform in the summer (without the yellow jacket) Keishi simply wears short white socks. And of course, Keishi always uses her customary black hair ribbons. On her feet, she wears the plain brown penny loafers year-round worn by the rest of the students. When not at school, Keishi usually is seen garbed in a play on a preppy style: A plain unbuttoned oxford with a lace colorful camisole underneath paired with simple jean shorts and flip flops give off a casual, yet chic twist.
Personality:
Keishi is normally an outgoing girl, however because of her recent move to Hikarizaka, Keishi is shy and softspoken. Around her brother, Keishi is bubbly and warm, knowing he would never criticize her or put her down. With her father, she is polite and careful about how she composes herself, for fear of her father's disapproval.
Keishi's hard-earned popularity from her previous school makes her realize how much effort goes in to actually befriending peers, and as a result, mostly keeps to herself unless she is with her brother. Nonetheless, she does attempt to make friends when there is an opportunity, but is not entirely committed to doing so. Therefore, Keishi can be polite to those who approach her, however she especially opens up to those who strike her as true, loyal friends.
Approval and insecurity play a big role in Keishi's life. From the desire of acceptance from her father, to her ex-friends of the top clique of her previous school, Keishi has never stopped adjusting to please others. Unfortunately, this takes away from her actual bubbly, fun personality as Keishi increasingly adapts to entertain others' needs instead of her own. Her insecurity about being judged from her peers also intensifies Keishi's undying need to be accepted.
Keishi definitely has a feminine side to her, but is not the completely a "girly-girl". She never cared for makeup, or gushing over the newest fashions, or impressing boys. Instead, Keishi concentrates on arts and studies; the latter she especially excels at thanks to her father. Because of her ability to quickly analyze people, places, objects, Keishi can almost as easily solve mathematical equations and make observations in science. Art-wise, Keishi excels, however she does not make efforts to pursue her talent as she only uses her talent to blow off steam and escape from reality. Keishi mostly draws quick pencil sketches, rarely will she be seen making sculptures and using actual paints and other kinds of mediums, because she believes they are too time-consuming.
History:
When Tanaka Keishi first entered the world, her mother was already dead. Keishi, along with her twin brother, had to be taken out of her mother's womb in order to survive as her mother passed away during labor. Upon learning this during her early primary school years, Keishi believed that it was her fault for her mother's death, and believed in that ever since. Without a motherly figure, Keishi had to rely on her friends for advice and support. However, during her first year in middle school, Keishi's friends would question the absence of her mother, and in response Keishi would try to brush off the question. This led to rumors circulating the whole school. Again, without an understanding matron she could confide to (since she assumed her brother would have no clue on the trials of a girl's social life), Keishi was left with no one. Until she discovered her love of drawing.
Sketching was Keishi's way of unleashing her emotions. It was what saved her from an otherwise stressful life. After two torturous weeks, Keishi mustered up courage and found new, more accepting friends. They were understanding, as Keishi told them the truth about her mother. Eventually, the gossip stopped and everyone soon forgot about the debacle. Once more Keishi belonged to a social circle, this time happier that she both was able to get the secret off her chest and acquire more supportive friends.
Finally finding her place at school, Keishi was satisfied with her life. A loving and loyal brother, a father that at least provided and cared for her, and friends she enjoyed to be with and whom she felt comfortable with. Keishi even dated a boy whom she liked. That was until her father had revealed that they were moving away to Hikarizaka. Hurt and disheartened, Keishi was convinced that it was because the one time she found true happiness, her father had to take it away to remind her and her brother that they could not be happy if it was not for their mother. In the past, Keishi's father never showed any dislike for the twins; on the contrary, if anything, she knew he cared for them. Still, there was some sort of lost connection between them, the could never really understand each other. In Hikarizaka, he was to get a better job, they were to go to better schools. To anyone else, this might seem like a father's gesture of love for his children because he wanted them to have only the best. However, in her current situation, Keishi could not help but think that it was all related to her deceased mother.
She had to break up with her boyfriend of a few months due to her move, but the couple was nothing serious. It was the thrill of being in her first relationship; not the boy himself. However, Keishi herself did not figure that out. She was too upset at the prospect of going somewhere far away. Saying goodbye to her group of friends made her realize how grateful she was to have known them, and have grown close to them. The girls promised each other to keep in touch, and this cheered Keishi up a bit.

Sample RP: Keishi twirled her hair with a slender finger. She was sitting on her messy bed late at night. Her other hand was occupied tapping a newly sharpened pencil against a blank notebook. Keishi had many thoughts rushing in her head. Tomorrow is the first day of high school in this new town. What will everyone think of me? Should I plan to wear my hair differently? Keishi nervously chewed on her pink eraser of her pencil. She was definitely afraid. Keishi knew no one in this place. No one! How was she supposed to fit in? Plus, only to make things worse, her brother was not in the same class as her.
Keishi sighed. She knew she could not be dependent on her twin brother. Still.. Keishi thought wistfully. It would certainly help a lot if she knew at least one person in her class. Keishi's eyes wandered to her open notebook. At least her trusty notebook was always there. Keishi thoughtfully stared at the cream-colored page. After contemplating for a bit, her hand started furiously drawing with great gusto. Before she could stop herself, Keishi took up the whole page, and there was so much penciling that the entire right side of her drawing hand was covered in the shiny dark gray color created by applying so much pressure against the graphite markings.
Keishi heard footsteps. It was undoubtedly her father. Her father. Keishi's brow furrowed naturally as it always did when she thought about him. She heard him walking across the hallway, about to pass her room.
Keishi ripped out the page she just drew. She then laid her new masterpiece against her stomach, hugging it, while tossing her notebook on her nighstand. Hurriedly turning off the lights, she stayed completely silent, until she heard the door of her father's bedroom close. Keishi exhaled. She examined her drawing more closely, the first time she actually took time to observe it since drawing it.
The sketch astounded Keishi. She couldn't believe it. Usually Keishi drew to relieve stress; her special activity in which she could depend on. Typically her drawings were good, actually very good, but Keishi never paid attention. She only used drawing as her way to decrease tension and let her mind wander freely; never an actual activity she was dedicated enough to actually pursue it.
Keishi traced her pointer finger across each line she had drawn, each detail she put. There was only one reference photograph she had seen before. Never before had she encountered her sketch's muse.
It was a picture of her dead mother.
((OOC: In your template post, I noticed you put "Year and Class" on the example template, but for the actual coded template, forgot to put it in, so I just inserted it in my application. So, could you maybe edit it so it does include the Year and Class in the coded template for future applications? ))
