Just Some Boiling Dangos

Date: April 28, 2003 Monday Time: 02:00 PM. Nagisa really wasn’t sure why she had signed up for this trip, outside of course her mother and father pressing her to do so everyday up till the deadline. Travelling all the way up to the hot springs with a bunch of people she barely knew was a little unsettling for her. The trip up to the springs had been quiet and awkward for her as she didn’t have anyone to talk to since it was separated by gender, meaning Tomoya was off somewhere else. And Fuko obviously couldn’t come since she wasn’t really a student at the school. That left her to sit alone in silence all the way up, getting the occasional look from someone. When that happened she did try and wave and smile, but her hesitance lead to many people to just end up ignoring her and going back to whatever conversation they were having. Eventually she just gave up on it, instead sitting alone, entertaining herself by singing the Dango Daikazoku song over and over; that always cheered her up when promising food would have been a little inconvenient.
Eventually they arrived, but as rooms were settled Nagisa was still kept apart from Tomoya, who would probably be at this point the only person able to help settle her down. Right now her roommate wasn’t someone she knew. She was a second year student with long grey hair. While Nagisa thought she was really pretty and nice, but they hadn’t talked that much outside of some basic introductions and such. After that they went their own separate ways, and that brought Nagisa to her current situation; the hot springs
After stripping down, Nagisa had slowly gotten into the springs. She was surprised to find them still rather empty; she guessed most people were still talking with new roommates or something and didn’t feel like using them right now. At least that meant she had the entire place to herself to relax in. Hopefully just sitting in the springs for a while and letting the warm water just soak her shyness away, or at the very least loosen her up and make her feel better. If she just calmed down and worried less she could start to learn how to make friends on her own; she had done it before after all so she could do it again without Tomoya. Still, she felt so safe when he was around, even he had a harsh tongue.
Whatever it was, she could at least relax. Closing her eyes, Nagisa did what she always loved to do when alone and relaxed:
”Dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, Dai-ka-zo-ku.”

"Oh, that's chilly." Shou whispered, clad only in a white towel she'd brought for basic modesty. She wondered why she even brought it with her, as far as she was concerned, the towel wasn't exactly hiding anything. Often did she muse about her small stature. Where people would call her petite, and cute, she longed to be called something better. And not by her family members. A light breeze whipped around her body, and up went her arms to hug herself, before she approached the human boiling pot, and cooked herself for an hour... Or maybe two. As she approached, over what could only be described as an aquatic riot, from the male spring, Shou heard someone singing. The tune sounded very familiar. She must have been very young when she'd heard it. From whom, she couldn't recall. It was likely Jun, since her older cousin often liked such jaunty tunes, being a man of music himself. Her tongue clicked against the roof of her mouth as she tried to recall it. She remembered little characters, as many different colors as you could imagine. It seemed like something very pleasant from her childhood. Arriving at the unfilled female springs, Shou was surprised to see, behind a thick veil of steam, another student, singing away merrily to herself. It was odd. The junior expected the spring to be packed to bursting point with gossip. All the typical things one was expected to chat about when out of school. Who was going out with who, which boys each of them liked, and some other subjects Shou would rather avoid, given their nature. Tying her hair up into a bun, she slowly lowered herself into the hot water. The heat was quite unexpected, but the young Aizawa settled in, making only the faintest displacement of the water. She closed her eyes, and let out a deep sigh, piercing a hole in the dense steam cloud rising up from the water. It seemed like the senior girl was enjoying herself. Shou noted that her singing voice was rather cute. In a way, it reminded her of a small child, watching her favorite cartoon, and singing along with it. ”Dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, dango, Dai-ka-zo-ku.”That was it! Those little characters were dangos. She remembered now. There were at least one hundred dangos, old, and young that formed a family. It was the Dango Daikazoku. Shou, perhaps unaware of the person in her presence, began to whistle along with the girl. She had a large grin on her face, glad to remember something fond from her earlier years. Jun had loved the song as a young boy, as had Koji. It was through the former that Shou came to love it too. It gave her a warm feeling, though that was probably just the water she was bathing in. Shou ceased her whistling, and cleared her throat. "Excuse me, senpai. That is the Dango Daikazoku song you're singing, isn't it?" Shou asked, leaning against the edge to keep her long hair from spilling out into the water. She didn't have to worry about her hair catching on things, or getting wet when taking a dip in a pool, as it was either scrunched up under a swim cap, or kept out of the water with a much higher ponytail than was the norm for her. Consumed in her own singing, Nagisa had failed to notice when another girl entered the hot springs. Instead, she just kept on singing to herself, too relaxed and enjoying herself to really care about her surroundings. That, and the sound of the boys side was loud enough to drown out any small sounds that would have alerted her to anyone. It wasn’t until the girl began to speak that Nagisa stopped and noticed someone else had arrived. She had been caught singing to herself! And such an embarrassing song to sing (well, she would think others would find it childish, but she loved it). Her eyes were widened, and a slight blush on her face, and she even began to sink down a little into the water to hide her face. That was until the girl correctly guess the song’s title. That gave Nagisa a little more courage to herself. Maybe the girl liked the song as well?
”Ye-yes, it is. It’s my favorite song in the whole wide world.” Nagisa said. Before she forgot, she gave the girl a slight smile. She froze for a second smiling, wondering just what she should say next. Well, this would be the point Tomoya would remind her to introduce herself, and this whole trip was about meeting new people after all.
”I’m Nagisa Furukawa of class 3-B. It’s very nice to meet you.” she said, a little bit nervous but more courage starting to come into her voice. With nothing else to really talk about at that point, she decided to focus on the one thing that the both of them seemed to know; the Dango Daikazoku.
”So then, do you like the Dango Daikazoku as well? I’m very glad to meet someone else who knows about them; a lot of people seem to have forgotten about them but I still sing the song everyday. I even,” she blushed a little, seeing as this was a little embarrassing,”I even got some plush toys of them at home.”
Taking advantage of the moment, Nagisa looked over to see if she recognized anything about the girl she was now talking with. From the way she spoke, she had to be a lower classman, but she wasn’t sure what. Her size made her think that she might have been a first year student, but that could be deceptive. After all, there were plenty of small-sized girls in the second year as well. Maybe the girl would state her class in her introduction. Other than that though, Nagisa didn’t recognize the girl. Not surprising; if she was a freshman now there was no way Nagisa would have known her last year, and if she was a second year now, Nagisa didn’t do too much with the freshmans last year. Shou found her entire body tingling under the immense heat radiating from the water. That was what a hot spring was... Hot. And if she was unable to bear it, the likelihood of her leaping out to cool off, and try again was high. She seemed to have startled her fellow student, and broke her out of her blissful reverie. This girl had managed to re-introduce her to something she was sure she had forgotten.
”Ye-yes, it is. It’s my favorite song in the whole wide world.”
If such a song could be labeled as one's favorite, then it must be good. If it ranked up there as "in the whole wide world", then it had to be among the greats. If Koji had heard, then she would have assumed he'd immediately try to play it on an instrument. Not many people had something like that in their lives. Something that made them that cheerful Enough so, to sing in public, and at a hot spring no less, somewhere that only had water, steam and a small towel for modesty. Even some people hid behind layers of costume and mask for an opera could get nervous enough to the point of breakdown.
Shou drew in another breath. She wasn't used to the heat. The exact opposite as a matter of face. Even dressed in thin show clothing for figure skating, Shou was used to the freezing cold temperatures out on an ice rink. It was very demanding. One couldn't be bothered by the cold, or else they could injure someone if not focused, they were wearing sharp, bladed boots after all.
”I’m Nagisa Furukawa of class 3-B. It’s very nice to meet you.”
Shou, her skin reddening from the heat respectfully bowed her head to her senpai. It seemed she had been right in assuming she was a senior student. She'd probably seen her face around campus somewhere.
"It's nice to meet you too Furukawa-senpai." Shou responded in kind. Nagisa seemed like a nice girl, and had a gentle voice that reminded the junior of her mother. Nagisa, had decided to focus on talking about something the two had in common, and if her kohai liked the Dango Daikazoku, even admitting, a little embarrassed, that she owned plush dangos. Shou also had some things she needed to confess
"I have to admit. I had a hard time remembering them until i heard their name. My cousins, and I. when they didn't stay here in Hikarizaka, I went to visit them. Jun-nii was always singing it too. I thought I had forgotten all about them."
She hoped that the two of them had more in common than just the Dango Daikazoku. Of course, there was always Nagisa's Drama Club...
Wait. This is Nagisa? The Nagisa?
"I'm Shouko Aizawa of 2-E by the way. My cousin knows you. He's Kojiro Otomo in 3-D, with one of the Fujibayashi twins. I think he said something about joining you to help revive the drama club." She explained, introducing herself in full, to her senpai. Shou locked herself in thought for a moment... Yes. It seemed to her like that would definitely all work out.
"Listen. He told me you're looking for members. I think I can help you out. See, I'm an amateur figure skater, though I hope to represent Japan someday," She began, beaming now, "I've had experience in performing for large audiences. Maybe I could help you with that?"

Nagisa wasn’t sure if it was the heat causing her to relax more or the girl’s kind response, but whatever the case was Nagisa was starting to calm down about meeting this new girl. From the looks of it the girl wasn’t too used to hot springs, as she was turning redder at a faster rate than Nagisa was (though she was a bit pink-looking herself by this point). That was okay though; whenever they got out they could simply keep talking in one of the common areas so it really didn’t matter that much. Just meeting someone new, no matter how short the time, was a nice break from all the nervous shyness she had at school. While she liked hanging out with Tomoya, Nagisa knew she had to break out and form a larger circle of friends.
It didn’t bother Nagisa any that the girl had forgotten about the Dango Daikazoku. Lots of people had done so; that’s why it was so easy to get their plushies on discount now a days. The fact the girl had enough memory about them to recognize the song and the name on her own, however, instantly drew Nagisa to her. If there was one topic that she could easily get excited about, it was the Dango Daikazoku, and it was the easiest way for her to break the ice. She already just found out this person had a cousin that also loved the song. Nagisa wanted to meet this guy now.
”Oh don’t worry about it, everyone has sort of forgotten. But now you’ve remember so we can sing it together sometime. Maybe they’ll do karaoke or something here?” Nagisa said, eyes popping a little when she just realized what she said. Turning a little more red in the face than usual, she realized she had just offered to get in front of a large crowd and sing.
”Or just do it alone or something….”
Nagisa looked surprised when the girl (who was in fact a second year named Shou) mentioned her cousin knew her. She recalled there was a Kojiro Otomo who had offered to help her with the Drama Club, but the two hadn’t been able to talk in a while about it all so Nagisa had almost forgotten (how rude of her). Even more surprising, the girl was offering to join in the club, using her experience as a figure skater to deal with large crowds. Nagisa looked stunned; she had just met this person and they were already offering to help her with the Drama Club. Wait, didn’t the club need three members to start; her, Shou, and Koji…and Tomoya and Sunohara if she could get them into it.
”Yo-you really mean it?! You’d really join the Drama Club?! Ooooh, thank you very much. I hope I’ll be a good enough president for it. That really means a lot to me.” Nagisa said, rushed and very grateful for the girl’s offer. Her mood was instantly brightened, showing off a smile more confident then the nervous one she gave Shou when they first started talking.
”So what’s it like being a figure skater?”

"Any friend of Koji-nii's is a friend of mine. I'd like to keep an eye on him too. Besides, it'd be a shame to see the Drama Club stay dead. I heard the old club did some neat things." Shou responded. She was making someone very happy it seemed. She was certain that it wasn't the boiling water that was warming her body. Shou was happy enough to help out Nagisa. She was on good terms with her cousin, and he had mentioned her once, and about the dwindling Drama Club.
”So what’s it like being a figure skater?”
Shou didn't have to think about that question for very long. She enjoyed it immensely, entertaining a crowd. Competitions. Awards. It made the effort she put into it all worthwhile. Being graceful, and as fluid as water, hearing words of praise like that gave Shou more self-esteem, and the drive to keep on skating.
"It's quite taxing. You have to train regularly, exercises regularly. My coach, Tachibana-san, she makes sure I stick to a strict diet. I can't eat too many treats, or else I won't fit into my leotard." Explained the young girl, now beginning to relax in the high heat of the spring. She kept to her diet faithfully, and enjoyed sweet things in moderation, whereas her friends dieted just to be skinny, and the Otomo brothers had a more protein-based diet (Koji to help build muscle for kick boxing and Jun, because of his love for dairy products and red meat)
"I'll have to get a lot better if I want to qualify for nationals. They had a talent scout last year, and a senior student from Hyogo was picked to represent Japan," She continued, looking thoughtfully at he reflection on the water's surface, "that's what I'm aiming for, but the extreme weight restrictions scare me. I don't want to become an anorexic like some of the other girls do. Even the men weigh less than average."
It was a truly frightening prospect, to become rail-thin, malnourished, for the sake of medals, and a cheering crowd. Was one's health and well-being really worth that? Shou wasn't sure what to think.
"So, Furukawa-senpai. Are you planning on becoming an actress?" Shou asked, curious about Nagisa's reasons for wishing to reestablish the Drama Club, and in her senior year too. Obviously she had dramatical interests, or else she wouldn't undertake this endeavor to bring the club back to life.

”Yeah, I remember the club doing a lot of things last year, though I didn’t get to join it like I had wanted to…” Nagisa replied, a little sad at the end. She tried to not let it get to her, but she did feel a little down about how her body hadn’t let her join the Drama Club last year like she had wanted to. But she just kept getting sick, forcing her out of school and preventing her doing any club activities. It had been the same the rest of her life; she wasn’t able to do any school plays due to being sick. For now, however, she was leaving her own status as a repeater out of the conversation and just focus on the newest member of the club.
Nagisa was surprised by the sudden enthusiasm the girl had when she started talking about figure skating. It was always good to see someone passionate about something, though now Nagisa felt bad cause her interest in drama wasn’t really as enthusiastic as this girl was about skating. Still, Nagisa was going to do her best to get it running and to produce a play of some sorts. While she may not have been interested in acting for a career, she couldn’t let Tomoya, Shou, or Koji down after they agreed to help her start it back up. That could be the thing to give her the enthusiasm that Shou had…
Still, Nagisa was a little frightened when she heard that a lot of the people in figure skating were anorexic. Enthusiasm and passion was great, but going so far as to destroy ones own body didn’t seem worth it. Hopefully Shou wouldn’t become a person like that to see her dream through.
”That is a really scary thought to hear Shou. It’s kind of sad to hear really what people are willing to give up or do just to achieve a dream. I-I really don’t want you to do something like that okay?”
When the question came up why she was interested in doing drama, Nagisa kind of just waved her hands in front of her while shaking her head. She wasn’t interested in becoming an actress at all; she wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted to do really, but she at least knew she didn’t want to do that. Actually, this would be the first time in her life that she actually did anything related to drama.
”No, no, not anything like that,” she stated, calming down as she tried to think on how to best put why she was interested in recreating the drama club,”I didn’t get to do any school plays when I was younger because I got sick easily, and I’ve always admired people who were able to get up in front of others and perform. So I thought it would be fun to get a group of people to work together on a performance, and that maybe I could be like one of those people who get on stage…”
Nagisa was a little embarrassed again; she thought it sounded a little silly what she had just said…

"It really does scare me. Some of my friends that figure skate almost starve themselves already, and they're not even competing at a professional level." Shou announced quietly. Her voice was hushed down, with a trace of fear. She was worried that it would be expected of her to diet that harshly. She couldn't fathom herself being wiry thin, nothing but skin and bones. It really wasn't worth all the medals and trophies in the world. But, if it meant accomplishing her dream, would that be worth starving one's self to near-death? It was a million dollar question that the young Aizawa couldn't answer.
Shou realized focusing on figure skating as the main subject or discussion wasn't very fair on Nagisa, and decided that it would be for the best if she shifted onto something they could both relate to. Besides, Nagisa was greatly concerned about her health. She'd just met with her, and was showing such a worry for her newest Drama Club recruit. Shou nodded affirmatively. It was too terrifying a prospect to look like a skeleton with skin. It was quite a sickening image, so Shou squeezed her eyes shut, and let the water soothe her skin. She was rather dejected when she heard that Furukawa-senpai was unable to perform drama as she was frequently ill.
"Anou... I think you have a good figure for being an actress. I'm only good at what I do because I don't weigh very much, and I'm small. Actresses are taller, and pretty like you." She commented, taking note that Nagisa's figure was superior to her own. Whilst Shou considered herself petite in almost every aspect, she was envious of her senior's superior curves. Shou was confident that a lot of boys took notice of Nagisa. She was cheerful, pretty and had a nice, feminine figure for them to take notice of. Her mother and father were not short people, (not were they overly tall either) but yet Shou was barely over five feet, had a small waist and hips, but the blow that struck her the hardest was her small bust, if one could call it that... She hugged herself, as per usual, and let herself sink slowly into the water, up to her collarbone. It was embarrassing to point out one's physical features, but Shou couldn't help it. She felt jealous of other girls, and not just Nagisa. "So... Are there any boys that you like?" Shou asked, trying to steer the conversation into one typical of a hot spring, where girls discussed their crushes. It was after a minute or so of silence, or at least, as silent as it could get with the ruckus coming from the other hot spring . Shou was curious to hear what Nagisa had to say. She was sure that there were guys out there that had a crush on her. [/blockquote]

”That really is a shame to hear. I hope they eventually realize that their fine just the way they are…”
Nagisa could sense the fear in Shou’s voice about it, but she really did hope the younger girl didn’t start doing it too. Many people thought it odd that Nagisa got so worried about other people so easily, but she couldn’t help it. Even more, this girl was now a member of the Drama Club, and president Nagisa felt responsible for her members. The thought of Shou being nothing more than skin and bones, starving herself for her fame. Was it really worth doing that for ones dream? Nagisa really didn’t know, but didn’t think so. If a dream forced someone to do something like that, was it worth having?
All of a sudden the girl decided to shift the conversation to Nagisa, leading the brunette to be shocked when the girl said that she had a good figure for being an actress. Even in the heat of the baths one could tell that Nagisa was blushing and frantic, not really sure on how to respond to it. No one really ever commented on her figure, and she never really focused on it. Of course now she was starting to feel self confident about it, arms moving over her chest to hide it as she started slowly sinking into the bath.
”I-I-I….thank you I guess.”
By that point Nagisa’s head was halfway into the water. She hoped the water could hide her blushing. Was this just a natural question to ask after everything they talked about? Was Shou having body image issues or something? She had already discussed issues with eating disorders in figure skating, and glancing over at her Nagisa could see that she was just as embarrassed about the question as herself was. W-was Shou jealous of her figure or something?! Nagisa didn’t think she was all that special; she took good care of herself and all but she never really focused at all on whether or not she attracted anyone.
”B-but I think you look pretty too Shou. And being able to stand in front of crowds like that, you have more confidence than I’ll ever have. If anyone should be the actress it’s you.”
In the awkwardness that followed, Nagisa hoped the subject was turned to something more comfortable, but instead Shou asked if there were any boys that she liked. Nagisa panicked again, really unsure on what she could say about that. There really wasn’t anyone she liked in the way that Shou was trying to imply. Not that she didn’t like anyone as a friend; there was Okazaki and Sunohara, but admittedly she sort of liked Okazaki more. Not that Sunohara was bad or anything, just that she hung out more with Tomoya. Even if he had a bit of a sharp tongue, she still considered him a friend.
”Well, n-no, not really. I sort of like this one boy as a friend, and his friend is nice too, but that’s about it.”

Post by Fujibayashi Ryou on Aug 30, 2011 20:53:03 GMT -6
The sensation of warmth... well, heat, but it was not the pointed sort... on her skin, was surprisingly alluring. The billowing steam had propped up a curtain of white over her vision, but she believed she could still see well enough. There were silhouettes, two of them, in the water, as far as Ryou could see. She slowly approached.
While there had been many who had taken up the offer of a trip to this place, it seemed that most had yet to enter the bathing areas. The younger Fujibayashi preferred it that way; she... despite the segregation between genders, felt a little embarrassed with the whole thing. Her sister hadn't been able to come, but she had urged her to go, to enjoy herself... despite her apprehension, she smiled; the pools seemed to promise to be pleasant. She guessed she would leave when more people arrive.
With that, she dipped herself into the water, taking off her towel.
She had been silent, and so the pair may have not noticed her; in fact, her noticing them had only been in passing, and she had been a bit wrapped up in her thoughts and the... perhaps it could be called... 'ambiance'?
As she lowered herself, settling on a comfortable position, she could not help but overhear a bit of their conversation, although as she had not been there since the start, and they weren't really talking that loudly, she could only make out so much. Apparently it had to do with figures and... boys. Haru-kun... he came, right?
While she hadn't really been able to make a complete conclusion regarding their conversation, and it was mostly accidental that she had eavesdropped, she still felt guilty. She could make out their faces in the fog, but she guessed she must not be familiar with them. She decided to call attention to herself. That at least was fair.
"Um, hi."
"Sorry for intruding."

Shou narrowed her eyes deviously. She didn't profess to know a great deal about dating, but she did know enough about the affairs of a heart, and the desire for girls like herself, to date cute, or caring boys. or perhaps Nagisa like the bad boy type. After all, Koji had told her about Okazaki's involvement with the affair. She curled a finger up against her chin.
"Hoho. I see. Is it Okazaki Tomoya-senpai? That delinquent, rebellious nature appeals to you maybe?" She asked, grinning like a Cheshire cat from ear to ear. Being quite the schemer, Shou's mental gears turned into overdrive. A revaluation of sorts... It could all work out beautifully. And best of all, it worked out well. Nobody would get hurt. At least, not hurt badly. As those cogs spun ever faster, she pieced together a devilishly good plan, it even amazed her.
Her cousin was in love with that ever-popular girl with a penchant for violence. Said girl, also harbored deep feelings for the resident bad boy, though he was mostly indifferent toward such thoughts. Now, on the other hand, Furukawa-senpai, saw Tomoya as a friend. With the right nudge, however, Shou was confident she would start pursuing him. That would mean she and Tomoya would get together, and Fujibayashi-senpai would be left for Koji to sweep off her feet, saving her from heartbreak. Shou mentally congratulated herself on such an incredibly simple, yet effective scheme. It was brilliant.
Giggling away to herself, she kicked back a little, and relaxed. An innocent, sweet girl like Nagisa would be the making of Tomoya, and a fiery girl like Kyou would be key to her cousin's happiness. He was kind, and very loving, and from what he'd told her about Kyou, she was loyal, and an outstanding cook. It all worked out. Everyone was happy.
Now, there was the issue of her own love life, or lack thereof. At seventeen years old, the young brunette had never really entertained the idea of a serious relationship, solely because of her figure. However, one thing was certain. The reputation of one Sunohara Youhei was known far and wide around campus. There was barely a soul that didn't know him. Shou liked the boy well enough to want to date him sometime, and he, of course, was always pursuing anything with breasts. It helped that he had a cute baby face too.
Then, from across the spring, a timid voice floated through the steam, and into Shou's ears. Shou leaned forward, barely able to hear.
"Sorry for intruding."
Intruding? This was a hot spring for the students to enjoy. Anyone was free to take a dip in the warming waters. Through the steam, Shou could make out a third face. The resemblance really was quite uncanny. Sitting across from them, was the class rep for her cousin's class. Fujibayashi Ryou-senpai. Her short hair was a dead giveaway. Hanging down either side of her face, and not trailing down crazily like her sister's. Shou had never met the 'younger' twin before, having only seen her face a few times when Koji forgot his bento when he stayed over with her and Jun.
"Ii yo.. You're not intruding. You can come over if you like." Shou suggested, calling over to the bathing Ryou. It was quite quiet right now... About as quiet as it could be from the vocal war going on in the neighboring spring, filled with loud, obnoxious boys. And the few shining examples. Perhaps Ryou would have some stories to tell.

What was Shou grinning about?! Nagisa didn’t like Okazaki! Or well, she liked him, but not in the way that Shou was implying with that grin! And he wasn’t really that much of a delinquent or rebellious (that was a more suiting title for Sunohara, she had to admit). He just seemed to lack focus was all, or at least that was what it seemed like to Nagisa. Still, she was still sinking in the water of the hot springs, flustered that someone would even suggest such a thing. Okazaki was a friend, and that was all she could say on the matter. Still, as she got up to protest, she shot up pretty quickly in a way that seemed rather defensive.
”No, it’s not like that at all! Okazaki is just a friend who’s helping me restart the Drama Club and I’m very grateful for that. And he’s a very nice and kind person, even if he has a bit of a sharp tongue. So is Sunohara. They’re both really good friends of mine and that’s that.”
It was always weird she got so defensive about other people but not herself. After a second, Nagisa realized what she said might just make Shou’s impression of her feelings a lot worse, and so Nagisa just kind of sank into the water again, embarrassed even more. This was so not anything she was used to dealing with. It was probably best that she stop talking now and save herself even more embarrassment or misunderstandings. She was just a little jealous that Shou was taking all this so calmly, just relaxing and giggling about it all.
After around point, Nagisa heard another girl calling out and apologizing for intruding. Nagisa hadn’t even noticed; in her flustered state she had been kind of distracted. Turning to the sound of the voice, Nagisa recognized the girl. Wasn’t she Ryou Fujibayashi, Kyou’s sister? Nagisa mostly knew of them through Tomoya; Ryou was in his class after all. She was the class representative, wasn’t she? Wait, would that mean she would know all the rules about starting up a club? It felt a little odd to ask about something like that in this situation, but at the same time with Shou’s interest in joining it maybe she should figure out exactly what she was supposed to be doing about it?
”Aren’t you Fujibayashi Ryou? I’m Furukawa Nagisa. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Nagisa responded, still a little flustered sounding but starting to sound more cheerful and welcoming than anything else. It was hard switching moods like that easily…hopefully Ryou’s arrival would keep Shou’s questioning at bay.

"Y-Yes, I am." she said, affirming Furukawa-san's assumption; that she was Fujibayashi Ryou.
Had Okazaki-kun mentioned her, or something? She felt curious about what Furukawa knew of her, besides her name, but she did not feel it yet right to ask; after all, they had but met, and for the first time, too. "So you are Furukawa-san..." she found herself saying, for lack of anything else to state.
Furukawa-san seemed quite like herself. At this she was reminded of another who has similar, albeit a boy... Haru-kun. At the very least she knew he looked at her that way, and she shared many traits with him, both good and bad; being easily jolted or scared, being considerate and humble (well, hopefully she was considerate and humble... she tried to be so... it might be too presumptuous to say such.).
However, she didn't want to agree to him solely because he had recognized her; she wanted the final decision to come from her feelings... the problem was that her feelings were like that of the legendary Gordian knot: terribly confusing to untangle.
She turned to the other girl, who seemed, from her way of speech and what she could make of her expression through the steam, more assertive than both of them; she sounded like she was the driving force of the conversation, and Ryou hoped she wasn't incredibly prying, though she had a hunch that her hopes would be thwarted. Well, she could decline to speak about herself...
"Anou... may I ask who you are?"

Shou covered her mouth tightly with her hand. It was most amusing to see her senior flounder as she was. It was rather difficult to stifle her laughter, with some excess air squeezing out between her hand and mouth. Nagisa certainly looked adorable when she was on the defensive. Why she didn't have a nice boyfriend yet was beyond her. She could easily fix that, with a little work.
"Is that so?" Shou asked, leaning against the edge of the spring, wearing her frighteningly wide, and scheming grin like ones best sweater. She could be incredibly evil when she wanted to be.
"He's cute. Even if he's got a bad reputation, at least he's got those roguish good looks to redeem him. If he's helping you, then that means he must like you. Everyone says he's about as interested in most girls as watching paint dry."
Shou's gaze drifted over to Ryou's, and she couldn't help but sigh. Yet another girl with a more curvaceous body than her own. Sighing, she prop her head up, lamenting. The younger twin had been in her cousin's class since freshman year, so she'd at least be familiar with him. Perhaps give her a little insight into her twin sister's mannerisms, her personality, and most importantly. whether she liked Koji or not. It was all very well if the elder Fujibayashi was left with no-one. Unless she liked Koji in return, it would be a wasted effort.
Ryou seemed to be as every bit as reserved and shy as Koji had let on. She seemed like a sweet and earnest young girl, one who might not think of herself as anything special. Shou was somewhat jealous of her perfect, unblemished face as she ran her water-soaked left hand across the scar on her nose. The surgery to rebuild her nose after a considerably nasty contact with solid ice before she was competent enough at figure skating to avoid such calamities.
"Anou... may I ask who you are?" Shou had to compose herself a little better, for Ryou had asked her acquaintance. It would be rude not to respond and keep lamenting.
"Oh. My name is Aizawa Shouko. I'm in 2-E. It's nice to meet you Fujibayashi-senpai. I've heard a lot about you." She responded, repeating the same respectful head bow as she had done with Nagisa. Indeed it was nice to meet the sister of the girl whom her cousin was head over heels for. Twins at least had some similarities.

”I-I doubt that’s the reason he’s helping me at all. He’s…uhmmmm” Nagisa argued, though stopping once she realized she didn’t have any to respond with.
Now that she thought about it, Nagisa wasn’t really sure why Okazaki was being so nice to her and helping her with the Drama Club? She really doubted it was because he was interested in her; he hadn’t done anything to make her think that was the case. Yet at the same time, he had no reason to help her at all. Could his helping her really be a giant ploy to try and get closer to her like that? No, no that couldn’t be right. She wasn’t sure why, but she knew in her heart that Okazaki was not that kind of a person, someone who’d take advantage of someone like that. Whatever the case was, she found Shou’s grinning and smile a bit creepy. Nagisa backed up a little, and was glad for the arrival of Ryou Fujibayashi to break up the awkwardness.
The behavior of her companions here, however, Nagisa found confusing. Shou was sighing about something, and Ryou seemed like she knew her somehow. Was she famous around school or something? Or maybe Tomoya had talked to Ryou about her; after all those two did share a class. Actually, that would probably explain Ryou. As for Shou, maybe the steam was just a bit hard on her breathing or something. Nagisa just sighed herself; she could get so over analytical and worried about other people when there just could be some simple reason behind their thoughts. There was no time to deal with that now though; she had to be nice to the newcomer. After all, this was her chance to make a new friend…well another one at least!
Once Shou and Ryou had done their introductions to each other, Nagisa tried to think on what she could discuss with Ryou….OH! Wasn’t Ryou the class rep of her classroom? Would that mean she would know all the rules regarding clubs and such? That would be a good way to go; after all maybe knowing how one restarted a club would be a good first place for someone wanting to do such a thing. And with Shou here, being interested and all, maybe seeing what they were going to face would encourage (or maybe discourage?) the girl.
”So, uhm, Ryou, do…do you mind if I ask you something? I was wanting to restart the drama club and I was wondering…..I was wondering if you could tell me how I’m supposed to go about doing that?” Nagisa asked, nervously smiling the whole time.
