Now Yuki was always one for lessons, as oddly she found learning fun. But that wasn't to say she didn't have her 'off' days. Today was her first day in this school, having just flown in from England last week and she'd spent the weekend setting up at their new home. It was a nice place, with multiple rooms for the family and an excellent kitchen, that of which was now holding the vast majority of cooking utensils needed to cook or bake due to Yuki setting up. She'd also done her room, which consisted of a couple of books, a few stuffed toys and paper for practicing artwork. She was okay at art, but was nothing outstanding. Her lessons this morning had been filled with thoughts of the new town and how it'd looked so far, and due to that she had found it incredibly difficult to concentrate. But Yuki had tried, and that was what mattered. Well, not really but a one-off every once in a while wasn't the worst thing ever. Looking at the blackboard, but at the same time not looking... in her own world, remembering the beautiful trees that she'd seen on the way to school at the base of that steep hill. That hill had taken it out of her earlier. She wasn't athletic at all, and by the time she had reached the top she was out of breath. The second-year girl knew that she'd get used to it though, so that point wasn't dwelled upon for long.
Yuki had decided to just buy herself something today, to see how the food tasted at her new school. Boy, had she been met with a shock. Where she'd come from, there had been a small line to the counter where you bought your food, but this place... she didn't dare even attempt to go through that crowd, it was like jumping into a stream of fast-moving water. By the time the place had cleared, there were but a few pieces of anpan left. Needless to say, Yuki had paid and left the cafeteria, shocked at the huge commotion and dire fuss there was at lunchtime. It would've been understandable if it was something life-changing, but it was just a cafeteria. Maybe Japan had gotten hungrier since she'd last been? She'd seen someone from her year- or was it the year above?- plunge into the crowd, and she wondered if she'd ever see him again. That horrifying scream of his as he was carried away wasn't too reassuring.
She wandered into the courtyard, noticing immediately how peaceful it was here. There were very few people around here, those that were either just sat with their friends and ate whilst chatting about random things that most likely didn't matter too much, wandered around just to be outside or waited for their friends to arrive so that they could become the first example. Yuki found a deserted bench here, and without hesitation sat down, brushing off her skirt before doing so and looking up at the clouds briefly. That one looked big. Stratos clouds usually meant rain. But it wasn't here yet, and wouldn't get here for a while. Yuki opened up her bread and began to eat it. MLB, it was surprisingly tasty. Not as good as sandwiches, but good nonetheless.
The lone girl looked up from her anpan. She glanced around at the people here, and shrugged before going back to the food.
Perhaps someone would take interest.

Clouds one of the big injustices in the world. Thought Kashikoi. You can always draw them, yet they get boring after awhile. "AAAhh I've drawn this area a million times I need something new. Something exciting... I wonder if someone else can tell me something to draw. Kashikoi slowly mumbled as he started around the courtyard, asking people what he should draw.
"Me!" shouted a senior.
Kashikoi shivered at the thought using his last piece of paper on something so humanoid, so normal. It was disgusting, but he could forgive her many people think there are the most beautiful thing on earth. It was because they hadn't seen the beauty of a sun rising over the mountains, a deer bounding through the fields. So he could forgive them.
Most people didn't reply at all. So he kept wandering until he found a girl who looked kind sitting on a bench eating some bread.
"Hello." I said "Uh do you have any ideas for me to draw?"

Someone was coming over. It was a boy with black hair, a first year? Having just arrived herself, Yuki had no idea what the differences were between First, Second and Third year uniforms. There had been a few minor differences in some of the people she'd seen so far in the day, their uniform being ever-so-slightly more different to hers. But whether that was her thinking over this too deeply or not was another thing entirely; she wasn't sure. The second year uniform suited Yuki, and upon seeing that the uniforms to all years had been effectively the same, she'd sighed. Her hopes of each year being unique in terms of uniform, shattered! But that was an insignificant detail. Whether each year was unique to the other two years or not didn't matter anyway; you could usually tell by the differences in personal features such as height, or maybe even by the way they looked and sounded. That had been vital to telling the differences between year groups back on England. Damn, how different Japan was to that place!
Upon the boy arriving, he asked her a question. Sounded like him asking for help thinking of things to draw. Yuki chose to answer him almost-instantly, swiftly swallowing her mouthful of bread and replying to Kashikoi. "I'd love to help! I just need to ask first... can you draw from your mind, or do you need to see what you're drawing, such as a forest or the sea?" She had thought his initial question was a teensy tiny bit vague, so by specifying it like that she could think of a valid answer to give him. If he could draw without a source, then she had an idea already and was ready to share when he was. If he needed a source however, it could get tough. Yuki was new around the city, and knew nothing about the wide range of surroundings near her, the different scenery or locations around the place. There was absolutely Bo way in the world that Yuki would know anywhere, yet. But soon enough, she'd explore, make more friends. And in a sense, she would settle here. That could take months though, giving their previous predicament involving the move back to Japan. Yuki was doubtful about whether they'd settle here too, due to the past where they travelled a lot.
Either way, that was irrelevant. It was only time for Yuki's questions to be answered. Go on!

That's a good question. thought kashikoi. I usually draw something I can see, but that's because I need inspiration and it's easier. It's been to long since I drew something from my imagination...
Wait I don't even know who I'm talking to. Thought Kashikoi. Hm second year around 6 inches shorter than me and very slender,
Right back to the question. "I usually see something first, but I can and would love to draw from Imagination." said Kashikoi. "My favorite thing to draw is the natural world. Everything from the largest ocean to the smallest spider."

Hmm... everything from the largest ocean to the smallest spider...
Well, Yuki did indeed have a few ideas. "Well... if you need ideas for drawing without having something in front of you, then I was going to let my imagination run wild and suggest an underwater palace!" She presented. He might have thought of something similar to that or possibly even that before, but she had no way of knowing. "With something in front of you... the only place I've seen that I admire so far is the bottom of the steep hill that I had to walk up to get to school. But you've probably already drawn it. Sorry if I've wasted your time, I'm new and have just come from abroad." Yuki laughed nervously before seeing the look on the boy's face. It was a look that said it all: 'Who is this girl?'"Oh- sorry! I'm Iwashima Yuki. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Yuki introduced herself gracefully. Well, as graceful as one can be when sat on a bench eating bread. Still, she had been taught that introducing yourself before asking for someones name was common courtesy. But... Yuki didn't have any idea how she would ask anyone their names. It had always been others introducing themselves and asking her name before she had the chance. Yes, this was her first time properly introducing herself like this in so long that she'd forgotten all about it. But this guy didn't seem at all like a bad person. Heck, from the way he talked Yuki would even comment about him sounding like a good person! He just wanted ideas for a drawing though, so even if she was wrong and Kashikoi turned out to be bad, this girl probably wouldn't get any, if not much trouble.
Drawing? Yuki Iwashima had never really been good at drawing. She wasn't bad at it, but she wasn't good either. It was more so-so. The one time she'd drawn something well, it had been for an art exam in England at a very young age, and even then she had failed to get into the top-half of the class in terms of how good it was. From the way this black-haired boy spoke, he gave off the impression that he was excellent at art. If so, Yuki wanted to watch. Watch him draw, even if that was all. Watching others excel in subjects she doesn't do so well in was a weird thing to do, but for some reason Yuki enjoyed doing it on occasion. Made her feel envious of them and at the same time happy for them, just because they had the skill. Not sports though. Ugh, this was a girl that couldn't stand sport. Kicking about a ball... how could that possibly be considered 'fun'? And the violent ones... they were just stupid, in her opinion. What was the point of deliberately hurting another human being? It was just vicious and barbaric. Still on subjects, the one where Yuki did the best was, undoubtedly, Food Technology. She didn't know why, but she had a talent for cooking. Her mother was an awful cook, her father only slightly better; she couldn't even begin to think of where the skill had come from.
Yuki waited for his reply. [/size]

Wait who are you? thought Kashikoi, and the look on the girl's face said it was showing. "Oh- sorry! I'm Iwashima Yuki. It's a pleasure to meet you!" Said the girl who was apparently Iwashima Yuki.
Huh Iwashima Yuki, Second year I think. She's shorter than me and more... tidy, seems non malicious and kind. Quiet and intelligent. Well she wont be able to hurt me... not true you don't need strength to hurt People. Only words and a way to us them. Thought Kashikoi with a half scowl on his face. Hm well I'll be a bit braver and Interactive but I don't know if I can trust her yet.
Hay! Your not here to stand arround. Introduce yourself. Kashikoi mentaly yeld at himself.
"I'm Chuugi... Kashikoi Chuugi. from 1-D." Kashikoi said. "And I think I know what I am going to draw. I'll draw an underwater palace, like you suggested. Just Imagine it, a huge underwater palace for all good creatures."
It is a good idea, but I'll put a twist on it to see how she acts with creepy crawlies. As well as put her on her guard a little more... for her own good. Thought Kahikoi bringing out his malicious side.
"Playing off my saying earlier this little squatter who was on your shoulder will be its lord." Kashikoi Announced taking a spider of Yuki's shoulder.
Wow spiders are amazing creatures quick almost intelligent and very creepy. Kashikoi thought with a grin like a cheshier cat.
"Isn't he amazing. So nimble and quick able to jump ten times there length and suspend themselves on strings from there abdomens. Though that's creepy..." said Kashikoi admiring the invertebrate. "Hey what's wrong?" said kashikoi noticing Yuki looked strange.

"Oh yeah! I'm from class 2-B. Heheh... Yuki was delighted that he was going to use her original idea about an underwater palace. She had thought of that on the spot as the first thing that came to her mind, so naturally the girl was fairly delighted. Delighted until he grabbed the creepy crawly off her shoulder. Oh boy.
"...Aaah..." Yuki shuddered, and didn't stop. She'd always been afraid of spiders, and it wasn't just being frightened of them either. She was terrified of them. "Th-that thing's been on me all this t-time?!" She trembled whilst looking at the tiny, harmless creature. It was probably more afraid of her than she was of it, and yet she still kept her eyes on it, not once moving them away.
It was probably because Yuki kept so focused on it that she was unable to recover. She had by now stopped shuddering and was sat up completely straight, not budging an inch, on guard. By now, it was ovious what she was so terrified of.
Slowly, the girl sat on the bench tried to recover. "S-sorry... I don't know what it is, b-but when I'm anywhere near o-one of those things a-and I know it, I can't control my fear... B-but anyway! I'm so happy you chose my idea!" Steady progress.
Since she couldn't really think of anyting else to say, she just smiled awkwardly and kept an eye on the spider. Better safe than sorry!

"Ahh..." was all Kashikoi could get out before RING the bell cut him off.
"I need to eat lunch and get to class." Kashikoi said as he started running. "I'm very sorry about the spider, and I will give you the picture when I finish it." He yelled over his shoulder.
Well that was an interesting lunch hour. I finally met someone at my new school. She was nice a little shy but nice. Well I don't know If she'll want to see me again after the spider thing. I should make it up to her. now how will I do that? Man am I hungry. Thought Kashikoi the last thought the strongest of all.
