The Drama Club Room Without the President

Something didn't quite click in Shou's head. One word in particular. One, simple, two-letter word. She wasn't hearing things. No. Tomoya had said it. Bi. Fujibayashi-senpai was bi. Boys and girls... Koji would be devastated when she told him the news. If Tomoya was willing to share that information with her, then it wasn't to be kept secret. Her initial reaction was most telling. Her cheeks flared a violent red, and up came her hand to cover her hanging mouth.
"Ara?! N-no way. She's... She likes... But Koji-nee will. I... Oh no..." Shou squeaked out, at a far higher pitch than normal. She felt quite giddy upon this startling revelation. Kyou Fujibayashi being bisexual certainly made things... complicated, to say the least. Now Koji had to compete with girls too, and not just other guys. Or... Perhaps this was some cruel trick concocted by Tomoya? Maybe he was trying to throw the young Aizawa off, and by extension, demoralize Koji.
Koji might give up, upon hearing that Tomoya's nasty rumor, could very well be true, leaving him to sweep Kyou off her feet. Of course, he was the just the kind of guy to do that... And then, he turned away, in a fit of what could only be described as somewhere between laughter and sobbing. Shou couldn't quite gauge which it was leaning more towards. Fighting the very obvious blush upon her face, Shou regained her lost composure, straightened herself up, and continued listening to Okazaki.
"It's...too sad...forgive me, for I cannot indulge your curiosity anymore, I've already...I've already said too much."
"I... See... Do you need a glass of water or something? You look like you're about to choke." She queried, cocking an eyebrow at her emotional senpai. Ayumu had already pressed Tomoya to continue with his almost-believable story. Had he not been quite so famous (or infamous), then perhaps Shou would've bought it completely, instead of remaining as skeptic as she was now. Indeed, it was curious to see how he'd be able to continue with a deceitful tale if it was a lie, and the book-hurtling senior was in fact, not bisexual.
However, Shou was aware he was friends with Kyou. Was she too nice of a person to reject her cousin, leaving her delinquent companion to do the dirty work for her? It was making Shou's head spin thinking about it. She shrugged off those thoughts for the time being. Besides, her cousin was the thinker in the family. Not her.
She was a schemer. That was the point of this exercise, her little scheme to both threaten Tomoya, and to inform him that someone genuinely loved her violet-eyed senpai, someone who had a future, and could give her nice things, and take her to all the places she wanted to go. As far as she was concerned, it was karma, and she was it's bad-mouthed, pint-sized enforcer.
In her eyes, Tomoya was nothing but a lazy, good-for-nothing bum, that didn't deserve a girl like Kyou in his life, (based on what her cousin had gushed to her about her.) whereas Koji himself, in all of Shou's biased opinion, was the epitome of selfless. Not once in her life did she ever see her cousin ask for something in return for helping people. He was an honest, kind person that deserved happiness. To the junior student, it was unfair that her cousin was being denied that. She just couldn't let it be.

He was surprised. Telling a flat out lie with a poker face was a specialty of his - yet why was he so close to cracking? Sunohara had responded to his lies with much more expressive, and believable, reactions - so to attribute her amusing reaction to the crack in his armor would be an understatement to his own skills. If he were to really think about it, it had to be the change that had suddenly come over her. One moment she was wilder, crazier, and as impossible as it seemed, bossier then Kyou had ever been (towards him at least), but now, with a few well placed words, she had grown pinker then the sakura tree's that lined the hill to the school and was stammering for every word. It was too much. It was almost as if he had defeated Kyou in one of there "conversations". Usually when Kyou grew bored of a particularly argument she would gain the upper hand by simply offering a threat so terrifylingly graphic he had no rebuttal suitable to match it. Now? He had left her completely defenseless. It felt good.
The bliss didn't last long, for there was one simple problem. She was not Kyou and she had yet to completely buy it. There was only one thing to do in the case of a doubter - throw any and all doubt out the window with an action orientated goal. His entire expression changed to one of excitement as he exclaimed:
"That's it!"
Grabbing her shoulders in excitement.
"You can save her! You can prevent her from being so desperate! Go find your cousin, urge him to confess, and maybe, just maybe, she'll reconsider resorting to girls."
He wasn't sure how popular Kyou was with girls, but with her fiery attitude he couldn't imagine her doing too badly. With this girl's imagination and a little time to allow it get out of hand, he was certain his prank was fool proof. He let her go to pursue her goal, and inevitably as she glanced back at him in doubt, he pushed her forward with more encouraging words.
"Go! Before it's too late!"
With a sigh of contentment at a job well done he noticed a figure still standing beside him. Oh. His eyes, once filled with feigned excitement drooped as he realized he still had company.
"What did you want again?"

It sounded a little implausible. Okazaki-senpai's little tale. But it was interesting if it was true...
Ayumu wasn't a person who relied too much on his intellectual side, even if he was rather smart, and his grades were above average; he was more likely to rely on his whims and instincts. In fact, what separated him from most stereotypical, 'emotional' people, was the nature of his gut feelings; they were milder and a little more detailed.
As such, although he did not exactly have a concrete proof to disprove the upperclassman (and he wasn't even sure he would like to, given the current state of affairs... ) besides, well, that he looked a little more... fired up and out-of-his-poker-face-character, he felt that something didn't fit. Like how a blind man solves a jigsaw puzzle. So it seemed that Okazaki was having fun at Shou's expense; well, after what the girl had put him through just a while ago...
Then their actor turned to him, and looked very bored.. perhaps, bored with him... it was a startling contrast that the bells in Ayumu's head rang louder than ever. While he liked interesting people... Ayumu wasn't always so sure that he was just as interesting, even by his own standards, so he couldn't blame the older boy. For his part, he found this little storytelling session of Okazaki-senpai's... at the very least... amusing, even if it might as well be a not-so-straight-faced deception.
In just a handful of minutes his senior had managed to unearth so many expressions from this vibrant girl. Perhaps, there herein, lies his strength. I probably can't match that. Furukawa-senpai had found somebody... if not necessarily 'good', at the very least... 'unique'.
"Oh, sorry." he said. "You were talking to me." he stated, the obvious, airily, as if he were the narrator of the unfolding scene. He felt a little irritated that Okazaki seemed to have almost forgotten him, even if it was... something he was almost accustomed too. He didn't have much of a presence.
He seemed to have also forgotten his excuse (well, it seemed like an excuse to get out of their vicinity), that he would go look for Furukawa-senpai. He had expected him to go on, and probably lead him to where Furukawa-senpai was; perhaps he knew other places where the older girl would probably be.
"I was looking for Furukawa-senpai." he repeated, with almost a hint of tiredness. "Maybe you could help me find her... but I believe I had been looking out for you too, senpai." he added, mysteriously. And so that might be enough. I have accomplished something today... meeting the curious Okazaki Tomoya.
He uncharacteristically smirked. "That was a most intriguing story. Thank you."

He cocked an eyebrow at the first statement. Obviously he was talking to him. Who else? His personality almost reminded him of another girl he had met recently...Furukawa! Wasn't he supposed to be meeting with her?! As if on queue the boy piped up the obvious, adding a strange phrase to the end. In all honestly he would have likely let it go unnoticed, except for the fact that he used the word "senpai". Even apart from the fact that he put little credence in the senior-junior hierarchy, nobody had called him , a no good delinquent, a "senpai" in years. What had he meant by the fact that he was looking out for him too? It sounded...creepy.
But his intentions didn't seem to lend credence to themselves when he smirked off his story with a pleasant thank you.
"Are you trying to pick a fight?"
He curiously asked. He knew what the answer would be before even asking it, yet still felt compelled to ask because the boy was acting a little too strange for comfort. He seemed normal enough when they had first met, what had changed? Unfortunately he didn't have the patience to wade through his first impressions and simply let it all go. He was tired. Pranking others was hard work, and he had delayed the meeting with Furukawa long enough. If she wasn't there by then he would give up and go home, more likely then not something came up and she couldn't make it. But first, he would have to deal with the boy. He shrugged and sighed, admitting with unsatisfacton-
"Seems she's disappeared, I don't know where she is..."
He moved in the direction of the drama club room as if to end any and all conversation right there. That's when he realized something. The thing that had been bothering him for the entirety of this strange hallucination that he couldn't quite put his finger on. Who was this? How did he know Furukawa? Was he interested in the club? He almost struck up the conversation to recruit him...but no, that wouldn't be right - Furukawa would have to do it herself, it only made sense after all. This was it - the battle of the ages - should he go home, or dare open Pandora's box and ask this strange boy what business he had with her...well...it couldn't hurt...right?
"What business do you have with her anyway?"

"Hrm... perhaps I am." he commented, thoughtfully. (It would have sounded better if he hadn't been creepy to begin with, but knowing how Mizukami acts, he really would have a tendency to be misunderstood...) Perhaps I am... because... it would seem... that you are the closest to her right now. But that might be jumping the gun... wouldn't it be? I shall be sincere and vague, for I am sincerely vague. "I guess I still don't know..."
It was funny how he repeated the same statement he had said, a while ago... perhaps it was a reflex against things that befuddled him, though the boy wasn't sure what his upperclassman would be befuddled about. (There were simply some things he didn't notice, like how it might be strange to call a delinquent senpai, but then he wouldn't be Mizukami if that were so...)
A slightly disappointed look crossed his face; he had been expecting this, but it was not exactly what he wanted. Oh well. He would be content meeting his delinquent senpai, he who had helped the senpai he really liked... he who had been quicker than him. I guess I'm a bit slow. Time wasn't wasted if something has been earned by its burning.
"Well, I guess I'll be off..." he said, having no more business with Okazaki-senpai, at least for now... and even he could tell he wanted to be left alone... (he already knew about it a while ago, but he just had to observe a little more...) and he still had to go home and do the other mundane things he does after school. He could go see his senpais... the drama club organizers... at a different time. He hoped it would be soon. He'd try to be a little quicker with this. He turned to depart, then stopped and turned back, just to answer Okazaki's dangling question.
"I was thinking of joining the drama club." he stated, matter-of-factly. He gave in to the temptation of saying something more. "Seeing as Okazaki-senpai is such a good storyteller... Furukawa-senpai might need other people." he grinned. He abruptly trotted away, not giving the other boy a chance to react.
Mission accomplished. OC: Vivo, if you still want to, you could post. Or we could end the thread as it is.
